Staff, parking, room, breakfast was amazing. I will never give a 5 star until customers can control the air con units to provide constant fan circulation and noise. I'd like to offer a bit of advice as far as the air con. Wonder why older women are bitchy on business trips and vacations? These damn hotel rooms don't have an air conditioner that stays on all night. I got four hours of sleep because I had it cranked down to 69. It was fabulous and I fell asleep with my sheet on. It kicks off for 20 or 30 mins and I wake up hot and sweaty waiting for the dang thing to kick back on. Repeat this 30 times and you have an agitated, sleep-starved woman. Can IHG not recognize that if they'd allow even just a constant fan, we'd still get air circulation and white noise and probably only need the ac at 71 or 72 and get much better sleep? This was another work stay and I can say this was a sight for tired eyes. A big plus was that the Government billing was correct and that is rare. The check in was flawless and friendly. The rooms were clean and the wifi actually worked very well. The only downside was a leak in the room above that made a running water sound all night. Funny enough, my coworker was in the room above and be woke up to a puddle in his room. The breakfast is standard fair reheat food but the coffee was good and the fresh fruit was real nice. read more

Traveling around the US, I always try first to stay at Holiday Inn Express. I find the rooms, staff and pricing to be consistent and a perfect fit for myself. This local hotel in Guymon, likewise, met all my expectations and had a tremendously kind and helpful staff when we made our late night booking and even later arrival. As per hoped for, the room was clean and outfitted with all the amenities you expect: king bed, fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, working desk, nice large bathroom/shower, and an additional external counter and sink so two people could prepare at the same time. the pool was not open I was looking forward to it we booked this hotel because it had a pool.The walls were worse than a curtain it was like construction zone because at 1:00 in the morning we could hear the people next to us.We spilled a drink in the lobby during breakfast and the hotel staff clearly saw it but didn't even help or give us napkins. They are in the process of remodeling however it was still a nice, clean hotel to stay. We arrived around 8:00 with reservations and were glad we had them! The front desk was trying to find rooms for three other groups looking for rooms. The staff was nice. Our suite was clean and the staff took time to "fan" the towels in the bathroom. The towels looked newer. They were average quality but certainly not cheap. The TV had a TON of channels if you like to unwind with a good program. The breakfast was also good. They had scrabbled eggs that actually had flavor- those that travel a lot know what I mean!! Drawback: The second bed was pushed up very close to the heater/air conditioner. It blew cold air right on the person who had to sleep in that bed. We rigged up a cooler lid and book to deflect the air. If you like a breeze on you- you're set. If not, Macguyver it like we did. read more

We stayed in Guymon on Friday night on our way to Phoenix. On a stretch full of less than appealing motels, the Holiday Inn is a ray of sunshine. It looks new, smells new, feels new. We were able to upgrade to a suite for $10. Not sure if it's that much bigger than a regular room, but we had a microwave, mini fridge & a sink as well as a sitting area. The room was very clean & they offer both firm and soft pillows; tres chic! The only downfall is that the walls are thin. I could hear our neighbors talking as well as their TV. Maybe we just had loud neighbors, though? Also, bring your own bath products if you're picky; I wasn't that impressed. I used the lotion & my skin was still dry after using it! Free breakfast in the AM & free hi-speed internet. We will most definitely stay again in the coming weeks! read more

Huge changes since the last time we stayed here, almost 2 years ago, and I can't say they are for the good. I am only giving 2 stars because of the location. The rest of the points are all negative. I am assuming they are under new owners/management and are in the middle of a remodel. That's where the 1st issue starts. They don't inform you about the remodel unless you ask or you figure it out from the unfinished walls and the furniture piled in the hallways and blocking exits. Most of the parking lot became consumed by construction workers and their equipment. The manager/owner (?) LEFT the building during a power outage and the emergency lights were not working in the stairwells, restroom, etc. Apparently slamming doors and blocking hallways are staff norms. And this begins early in the morning and continues all day, so don't plan to actually get much rest. The list of issues that I can go through with the staff is LONG, including a note slid under our door the first night that said there "was an issue" with our reservation. Not only are the prices considerably MORE than posted on the website, some of the staff could care less about customer service and hospitality. This USED to be our choice hotel when in town for family events or passing through, we won't stay here again unless DRASTIC improvements are made. read more

Pros, - Excellent rooms, Quite and beautiful rooms, Excellent Staff, Room Service is great, Perfect location, price is moderate, oh breakfast is great yum yum so much variety, Excellent office room to conduct any business away from office. Exercising room fitted with enough equipment to break a sweat. Hottube and swimming pool is very beautiful and nice. Very good location and excellent view of the town. I would highly recommend this place to any traveler in the area over any other place in town. Cons, - 3 times that i have stayed here i have yet to experience anything negative. NO CONS!!! read more

On 8/26 I made and paid for a room at the Guymon OK Holiday Inn Express for 9/1 and requested a first floor room. My traveling companion and I both have bad knees and prefer not to lug all our stuff too far. When I checked in I was told all the first floor rooms were taken and we were given a room on the 2nd floor as far from the elevator as you can get. The girl at the front desk was very nice and apologetic but it makes me wonder what's the point of reserving and paying for a room in advance. Very disappointing. read more

Once a year I have to make the drive from Phoenix to Chicago for the holidays. This was a reputable hotel to stop at along the way, and there weren't any issues except that the sink was leaking. We will most likely make this our halfway stopping point each year. read more

We were able to book one of their last rooms available through trip advisor. Very nice, spacious rooms that are beautifully furnished and easy to relax in. The pool and spa area is really beautiful. Great, safe and well lit parking areas. We had plenty of room for our trailer and tow to turn around in. I felt very well accommodated and the service staff was excellent. read more

This may just be my first review! Traveling from Kansas City to Arizona, we stopped here when we were tired and needed a good rest and restart. I was extremely pleased with this hotel. I was tired enough to ask for a first floor room, which we got. The room itself was large and spacious enough that I could do some yoga without moving anything around. Yes, it was considered a "suite" but the price was only a few dollars more than a standard room. The beds, wonderful. They even had different types of pillows in case I preferred firm to soft! Everything was so clean that I assumed this hotel was brand new. I learned from the friendly front desk staff that it is a 6 year old establishment. As an avid breakfast and coffee lover, I woke early and headed down to the free breakfast. I normally don't expect a lot from these places. Boy, was I surprised! Not only was the breakfast area an immaculate and sparkling area, the choices were endless in comparison to other free breakfasts I've seen. Fresh pastries, bagels, fruit, cereal, several choices of oatmeal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, juices and pancakes awaited me. Now, granted, the sausage wasn't the greatest. It tasted a bit bland. But the biscuits, gravy and eggs were pretty good! I just felt rejuvenated and ready to get back on the road again after my stop at this place. We spent a night here on our way to central texas. It was just fine as hotels go. But really was not suitable for us as we were traveling with two dogs and had booked through a pet friendly website to find out that each dog was charged 30.00 (including our service dog). Our room was perfectly fine, clean and comfortable. But access to outdoors for the dogs was down a hall, elevator and another hall. I would stay here on my own, but with my dogs would choose something else. Not sure I would stay in Guymon again anyway... read more

This was our first time staying here and it will now be our new hotel when passing thru. There is not a lot of options in Guymon OK, especially that take dogs, so we just figured it would be another yucky, overpriced hotel. Well still a little overpriced, but I never mind paying extra for a decent place. The front lobby was very nice and clean, modern and they had coffee and cookies for late night travelers. Robin was the front desk staff that checked us in. She was polite, friendly, and helpful and was just part of the overall good feel when you walked in the door. The hallways and room were clean and did not at all smell like a pet friendly hotel. Comfy beds and a working mini fridge. Complimentary breakfast in the am with lots of options. Very nice lady fixing the breakfast items. We did not eat any hot food, grabbed banana and muffin and on the road. Thank you holiday inn Guymon! read more
