It was 103° when we got here today so we quickly got the electricity hooked up. Too hot to do anything outside. Staff was very friendly check-in, this appears to be a family own place, very nice spot to stop. Guymon had several restaurants and shops so there's resources nearby if you need.

After a long day on the road, we rolled up with no reservations and they made accommodations for us in just a few minutes. Very friendly and kind staff, put us in a pull through back in the park not far from the old movie screen thats still standing. Crushed stone interior roadways are wide and easy to navigate, and the sites have a decent amount of green space between them. Nice wide level gravel base sites, our site had a fairly decent sized tree on it that gave a little shade for our HDT which was nice, but not for our rv. The weather was shifting so shade was not as important as it was a month earlier. We had good utilities that were fairly close to each other, solid water pressure and a decent power supply. The park has a camp store, laundry and showers, as well as an onsite rv repair shop and technician with rv storage. There are an equal number of long term campers and well as daily pass through travelers. 4 Stars a decent rv park in the area, and perhaps the nicest one in the Guymon area, it met our needs for our time there and would stay again if in the area. 01316

Ranger is there for need but not visible camp host, bait shop canoe rental available. Know your weather report before going,does get sudden wind storms and cold. Tent sites are available look level ,clean . Dump station on way out must be well thought of in approach to dump, wider turn must be made onto grass to approach and empty.

Of course this is in a desolate spot in the far eastern part of the panhandle and that's just not much around, AT ALL! If you do decide to come out don't expect to be accommodated beyond a permanent port a potty and a fence with some basic rules of the park. Overall really not much can be expected from the state of OK as there really isn't much here. The views though of the landscape are second to none. It really is quite incredible the nature and wildlife that you can find out here. Despite giving this only 3 stars I say it's well worth the trip out to see it, but I don't want to give it 5 stars and set somebody up for disappointment. If you're going to make the drive out, be sure to look up the fossilized dino tracks just up the road and the tri state marker. Both are within 10 minutes of the park entrance!

Was driving through with our travel trailer and decided to stop at this park for the night. Google…read morereviews were excellent so we were not too worried. Sits about 1 1/2 miles from highway. At first it's flat land on a dirt road but once you get to the park it is beautiful. The campground offers sites for tents and hookups. To camp it was $5 for the night and to get electric it was $15. Tent sites also include water spickets. Campground has picnic tables and also has a large covered area with tables. Camp host is super nice ans very helpful. Also has a bath house. Very clean and well kept grounds. Also has two nature trails. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash. Wildlife is included. Woke up this morning to see a turkey. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Ear plugs might be a good idea. The gal who signed me in was very helpful and friendly. I will say the laundry area and the bathrooms could use a good scrubbing, but they weren't horrible. I've seen worse. The price was just right. $25 for the night. I would stay here again.
