If you have laundry, have quarters. If a customer needs change for other sundries, do you give them pennies? I am not from the area, nor am comfortable just going into a random store to ask for quarters. I just drove 1200 miles. The 100% satisfaction guarantee doesn't apply to even simple change. To top it off, my door latch has issues; to the point of working about 1 in 10 attempts. Key card works, but the latch isn't catching to open the door. So now, my clothes are in a washer that I can't use whilst i wait for Maintenance that is not located on site. Understandable, since it's 550pm, but I cannot get into my room. Room isn't fixed; I have to lift the latch a certain way til check-out. As for the quarters, the local gas station said no and that this isn't the first time someone from the hotels have asked. So here I am, a POC in a rural town, driving around, not from here, after a 1200 mile journey, looking for quarters. Hampton, live up to the satisfaction guarantee so a Gold HH guest doesn't have to feel so uncomfortable. Ill be traveling around 60 nights next year, so lets hope the Hampton brand (which is most common in areas I travel through) has more prepared locations. Ill be back thru town in 2 weeks. Construction in room 2 doors down all day. Couldn't take a nap on day off from driving. Noisy neighbors in at 11 pm slamming door open and closed for an hour and talking loudly in hallway. No sleep there. Upstairs Godzilla rented a room and was up at 5 am. No sleep there. Breakfast, no bacon, no eggs, just sausage and take your own waffles. Bad coffee. Clean and quiet. The continental breakfast has more than just donuts and apples, and is pretty good. The pool is saltwater and super salty. The problem is that the front desk people aren't helpful, and had no answers or solutions when the key cards malfunctioned and could open ANY room. read more

A very solid 4 star property! This is a four year old hotel and looks brand new. The service from William on both the phone when I made my booking, and then when checking in was Excellent. My upgraded King Executive suite was very spacious! Bed was great, as was the A/C and WiFi. Breakfast was the standard for Hampton, which is a good thing. The breakfast staff works hard, but needs training on how to make oatmeal (it was improperly proportioned and warm water....not hot, was used to prepare). Yes, the rooms were too perfumed for our pleasure, but better that than an old musty smell. Likely the best hotel in town, and actually one of the best Hamptons I've stayed in! I have stayed at other properties while in Liberal and ave always been disappointed. The Hampton has a welcoming personable staff that goes above and beyond to assist a patron. It is a lovely property well located on the main drag (Hwy 54). I saw it on my way out of town and decided to switch and am pleased I did. A place for me in SW KS. read more

This is probably not a bad thing for most people but the smell of a soapy and perfumey mess in your room does not appeal to me. When I enter a hotel room I would prefer not to smell a strong perfume smell. Otherwise just your standard Hampton with comfy beds. read more

We stayed here for a night and I have to say it was beautiful! Very clean and very pleasant stay ! Great atmosphere the spa and pool were great very relaxing! Fitness center well kept and up to date. This place has a nice lobby, is new, has good breakfast and service. A nice pool, clean rooms and decent wifi. The only problem was the beds, for three days I have been tossing and turning, they are hard as a rock. It feels like you are sleeping on a big slab of cardboard on top of cement topped off with a blanket. Also in the mornings the staff use ridiculous rollers I have never seen in a hotel before to take sheets/laundry to and from the elevator. Every time they go down the hall it is extremely loud and obnoxious. I am usually a heavy sleeper and these wake me up every time. If you care about sleep or comfort do not stay at this hotel. read more

This was indeed a pleasant surprise! I stay all over the world on business. One of the very best hotels I have stayed at for a number of reasons. First, the edges of the rooms are clean, edges of all carpets in the halls are clean. Now that sounds odd but it shows that the staff take attention to the details and are not just about getting things superficially clean. The extras are noticeable. The breakfast is advertised the day before and it is a full breakfast with meat and eggs. Otherwise typical except for dried fruit for the oatmeal--nice surprise! Clean and well equipped rooms. Nice extras like mitts to polish your shoes. These "little things" make a difference and not one of the things you might expect in a town like Liberal! read more

Booked this hotel for my family's trip to CO. Was very happy with the rooms. The Suites were very spacious and very clean. The exercise room and pool were very nice as well even though we didn't use either. The only downside of the stay was the smell of the stockyards around Liberal. read more

Stayed at a number of Hampton inns in my limited travels across our great land and am normally extremely satisfied with my stays. This hotel looks new and seems to be well kept. My room was smaller them I expected but clean, thermostat on the wall didn't work (not a big deal) so unloaded our luggage turned on the ac on the big unit to high and set the temperature to 68...Never really felt like it got cool in the room..maybe too much humidity??? Good bathroom great shower, excellent hot water.... Came back later that night still not really cool like one would like in a hotel of this class. Hooked up my laptop to the Ethernet to do some work, WiFi pretty slow, didn't work. Breakfast next morning excellent as usually is at the Hampton. Little cheese omelettes, nice potatoes, good maple sausage along with everything else they provide.. Check out and tell the manager ( I assumed no one had name badges on) of my problems, and made me feel like it was my fault, she said the would look into it....I find that hard to believe being she tossed the key cards into the box never asked my name or room number... Not sure if I'll stay here again maybe I'll try the Holliday inn express across town read more
