Food is pretty good! The service is consistent and the location is nice! It has a nice setting for families or date night.

This place has really turned things around. In the past I would always opt out do a different place up here by t the gorge but we decided to give this place another shot. So glad we did. Food - We got the Reuben and holy cow it was wonderful. One of the best I've ever had. The fries are also home cut and amazing. We also got the chef salad and it was so full of meat and cheese we couldn't finish it. Tons of good turkey and ham and cheese. Really nailed it. Service - really great service as well. Well done to this place and really becoming the place up by the gorge I'm going to be choosing going forward. read more

The taco salad was good. It wasn't exceptional but it wasn't bad. It was a happy medium. I ate it up and enjoyed it. Didn't have many flavors. It was a good portion. Fish and Chips appear to have been a reject from Captain D's. They were overly breaded, and I have to wonder if that was to hide the quality of the fish. Tartar sauce was obviously not homemade, and probably came from a jar. Pot roast open face sandwich was suspect as well ...tough and covered with a lacquer-like gravy that in all likelihood came from a can. Having eaten here previously, with similar results, a burger is the only safe item on the menu. read more

I cannot believe how rude the staff is here! I never leave reviews for anything but that's how rude they were! Basically they refused to sit us because we had kids with us. They treated us like garbage. We drove 40 minutes to have dinner as a family just to be refused. When I told a friend how rude they were she said oh yeah they "hate when people have kids there." read more

If you're camping nearby in one of the Flaming Gorge campgrounds, and if you need coffee and don't want to wake anyone, this is the ONLY place you can go to get a decent cup of carry-out Joe. They open early enough for rafters, fishers, and hikers. Service - super friendly hostess immediately informs waitress I need coffee. Just like that. $3 and seconds later, my morning is looking better. read more

What a wonderful surprise in the middle of no where. Good and service was top notch. The gift shop was very fun to browse

We were passing through on a raft trip and decided to eat here for brunch. We had eaten here one time previously and had an equally great experience. It seems as though they did some re-modeling and it looks great! First, I would like to point out if you order a coffee you get it in an extra large mug, Yes! Also, they offer hot chocolate as a kids option for a drink. My kids were really excited about that since it was raining and cold out! For my meal I ordered the breakfast burrito smothered in gravy. It was AMAZING. My husband was trying to steal my food. Sausage, cheese, gravy, and some other stuff I can't remember. It came with toast of your choice, and hashbrowns. Despite the large quantity of food, I ate it all. My kids ordered the french toast with hot chocolate, eggs and bacon. It was just the right amount for my 5 year old. The prices are normal for a resort and well worth the value. They do offer outside seating and there is a little store and obviously the lodge nearby. The food was perfect for me and a hungry family. After hiking the dinosaur tracks trail at Red Fleet we were ready for a bite. We also wanted to let our kids see the Flaming Gorge Dam. So we made our way to the restaurant of said Dam. I had the Reuben, and it was wonderfully large, tasty, and satisfying. The fries it came with were tasty too. Wife had the Philly, and while it was delicious in its own right, was not a traditional cheesesteak (she would order it again, though). Finally, the kids sliders were great because we could mix and match to varying (moment-to-moment) appetites. We got our food to go because Covid. The incredibly nice woman who helped me out was also wearing one. Appreciated. read more

If you are planning a trip to the Flaming Gorge (which is definitely worth it, so beautiful) do yourself a huge favor and pack a lunch or plan to cook your own food. There is really not much available and there is no service so you can't even search to read reviews of places. Beer here is good. Food is very poor. I made the mistake of ordering the pasta primavera and the sauce was watered down and the veggies in it were clearly just defrosted. Also, as a side note, the menu on their website is very different from what they actually serve. My boyfriend ordered a burger and it was very average. Cost is not super cheap either. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Approximately 1:45 to be seated after being told 45 minutes. Our meals finally arrived 1:05 after ordering. Plenty of others came and finished before us. Absolutely ridiculous. Their attempt to clean the table just spread something very sticky, over the entire surface. Didn't want to touch it while waiting forever for our food. Finally started eating 2:45 after arrival. The food was mediocre but expensive. read more

First off, their wait time is insane when there's many open tables. They say to give the kitchen a break...But it seems as though they just want you to get sick of the wait and leave, rather than sit you and get water/drinks for your table while you wait for the kitchen to get it together. Our waitress was extremely rude. I asked if they could make a simple club sandwich (on their lunch menu but not on the dinner menu), she replied with a curt "nope." Then when we tried ordering beer, every one we wanted was "gone." I said why don't you say what is available to keep it simple? Then when we asked if they can do chocolate milk for one of the children in our group, I said 'is it gone too?' And she replied "I can make it be!" Seriously, so unprofessional and uncalled for. Not in a joking way, but just a snotty way. That kind of sealed the deal for me but then she spilled ranch on my husband. She was just all around rude and acted like we were lucky to be eating there at all. What's worse, we're locals and own a cabin near the restaurant so we spend a great deal of time and money at their facilities. Disappointing. The wait was ridiculous and the fries were cold. And it's not cheap either. Disappointing to say the least. It's funny their slogan is "where friends serve friends," because it honestly feels like they don't see customers as friends but rather a pain to be dealt with. Next time we'll drive up the road to the Red Canyon Lodge. read more

Never left a review for any where before. 1 star is over rated. Crappy service. After waiting for over an hour to be seated in a half empty restaurant the hostess told us to go ahead and sit out on the patio, but some ungrateful or mis-informed waitress told us we couldn't sit there. Can't rate the food because we didn't eat there. Good luck with your idea of a velvet rope because you don't want to overwhelm the kitchen with actually having to cook a meal. Adious read more

Hoo boy, was a disappointment!!! We were hungry coming here left here lacking any satisfaction. Service was ignorant of how to wait tables. My Cisco fish was freezer burned, when brought to his attention his response was non committal. Later I had to bring it up and he said he'd take care of it. Nope! Not sure about the previous bad reviews. This is a pleasant surprise. We had Salmon and country fried steak. Both great! I'd stop again!

Nothing fancy but food was good! Good comfort food. Staff in the restaurant and in the store were friendly and good customer service.
