The only thing is that it's smack in the middle of a City Furniture. It was kind of weird because I found this place on Yelp, and it looked really cute. But when I pulled into the parking lot it was a City Furniture.. There were signs for City Cafe so I assumed it would be a little section off to the side. I went inside, and it was just a cute little kiosk smack in the middle of the store. The workers were confused why I was just sitting at the coffee shop and not buying furniture. Some friends and I honestly stayed there a while and endured the weird looks. Final thoughts: if you want to go and take advantage of the cookies and free drink, it's worth feeling out of place. The owner was a jaggernaut of conversation and gave a brief overview of the pastry laid out on the counter next to the fresh baked empanadas in the warmer display. The stainless steel expresso machine was eyeballing me and of course I can never resist a good cup of coffee. Purchased a Lavazza dark creamy blended Colada. The dining room resembled a quaint Euro style living room. Took a small seat under an American Flag and was served my Colada by the owner. It was presented in a mini black porcelain cup with the word "espresso" multi stamped in white lettering, straddling a matching saucer. Sipped my tasty strong Colada while my eyes gazed at the mass signages and memorabilia causing a slight visual overload. The gender assigned clean bathroom had wrap around raised foil design molding against the burgandy and burnt orange walls providing a strong Euro decor. Oddly there was an office chair in the bathroom stall confusing the flow of the intended theme. Interesting choice of name for the unique café. This was not a dull visit to say the least and needs to be blasted out on social media for others to enjoy - mic drop.

A number of neatly arranged things are for sale which makes the space seem kinda tight. In the very brief wait before someone appeared from the back to take my order, I surveyed the display of eight or so appetizing hot entrees. I chose Brown Stew Chicken which was taken from a big black caldron that was behind the elevated counter. The $5.99 daily special is served with two sides, sweet plantains and small drink. I chose rice and peas, steamed vegetables and a cold Tampico 10 oz bottle of fruit juice. As I was paying, I spied the desserts and also purchased a slice of the colorful rainbow cake. The portions were ample and more importantly tasty. The rice and peas would have been better with gravy so next time I'll ask for some to be added. The pretty cake was ehh, just dense pound cake with food coloring. The service was very pleasant and gracious. I recall being thanked at least twice for my patronage so this local business can definitely count on my future support.

The lunch specials got my attention so I figured it would be at least average for the price. The restaurant is always spotless and everything is in its place and appealing to the eye. To my pleasant surprise, the food is better than expected. It honestly feels like you are eating dinner from your parents (or relatives) on Sunday evening after church. The service is always top notch with the polite ladies behind the counter. I've had the curry goat, oxtail, curry chicken and cow foot (cow skin) from here and enjoyed all of them. My favorite is the curry goat with white rice, steamed veggies and plantain. The portions are substantial (especially for lunch) and including a drink was icing on the cake. I know that everyone is accustomed to going to Golden Krust, Dutch Pot & Donna's but the food and service at Bulla King doesn't leave me wanting to go anywhere else. Doesn't hurt that it's a 3 minute walk from me either. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out.

Finding the place was a little tricky, but if you follow the lawn signs, they'll eventually lead you to the coffee nook, just make sure to look for the glass doors labeled THE GLADES. As you enter, you're greeted by the soothing sounds of instrumental music filling the lobby of the space where Getsemani is located. The area itself is beautiful, spacious with plenty of seating, lounging area areas, and even a pool table. It feels more like a lobby of a resort than a cafe. When I approached the coffee counter, no one was there at first, so I wondered if they might not even be open yet. There was no hot food available and not even the smell of anything cooking. After walking around for about a minute, I went back to look at the menu and take some pictures. A man then came out from the back and asked if I wanted to. I ordered an iced caramel frappe. While he was making my drink, I walked around and take more photos and videos, the space really is stunning. The gentleman who helped me was friendly, and once my drink was made, I paid and headed off to work. A few minutes after getting settled, I finally tried my coffee. Immediately, no! Something was off. I took another sip and the overpowering aroma and taste of onion hit me. It was so unexpected and unpleasant that I couldn't finish the drink. I'm not sure what caused it, maybe the ice, the cups, or the equipment used to prepare the coffee, but whatever it was, the onion flavor completely ruined the experience. It's disappointing because I was so excited to try this place. For now, I can only leave a three star review. If I return and have a better experience, I'll gladly update this review. One more note, at 9:40am it didn't seem like any food was available to order. The trays at the front were all empty, and there was no sign of breakfast being preped. Considering the cafe is in a high profile area surrounded by offices I would have expected for breakfast to be ready, especially during morning hours. Perhaps I was just too early, but breakfast at 9:40 isn't exactly unusual, right?

Literally, after ten minutes, I finally broke down and shamefully asked a roving security officer for the cafe location who smirked and then pointed at a nearby office building. Plenty of parking in front of the glass entry doors which oddly still did not display the name of the Cafe. I entered an absolutely super modern entertainment area including table shuffleboard, wall scrabble and a pool table surrounded by comfy couches, big screen TVs and teak wood tables. Im assuming a mass majority of the customers are derived from the adjoining office buildings. The cafe was open to the relaxation area and game room although still no name visible, but an obvious cafe. The owner Nellio, graciously greeted me and took my espresso order, which he brewed with Italian blended coffee beans called Lavazza. The strong coffee was priced well at $3.00 and well worth the hunt. They open early at 7am and close post lunch at 3pm. They offer seven different salad combinations around $8.00 with an optional chicken, pork or shrimp topper. Now that I know this cafe exists, I will stop in for a Cobb Salad on my next visit and will spread the word. Almost forgot - told the owner to put signage for his cafe out front, and he agreed.

Going in, we were seated quickly as there was a plethora of tables available. We ordered 1x appetizer plate, 1x mango lasi, 1x butter chicken, 1x lamb channa masala with chickpeas, and 1x garlic naan. Moving on with my review, tonight's meal for the most part was very good. The appetizer plate had a variety of fried fragrant pakoras (spinach, onion, veggie), but my fave was the samosa! The butter chicken had nice aromatics, and plenty of protein, but a little more tomatoey than creamy and chicken could be a more tender. The lamb channa masala was the star of the show as the lamb pieces melted in your mouth. The garlic naan was fresh, thin, and slightly crispy! My only real critique for tonight was that my mango lasi was on the bitter side. However, despite this feedback, the service was impeccable as the owner came over to our table several times to chat with us and gave helpful suggestions regarding the menu. Overall, we had a nice time and a little buzz from the spices too. My final verdict for Curry Cafe is 4/5 stars!

They were definitely booked and overwhelmed. We waited it out and were seated in a semi-private area. I wanted to try the Purple Haze juice, which was made with butterfly pea tea, but they were out of this. I was able to try the Millionaire Bacon, which was incredibly delicious. The Bacon is cooked with maple and has an almost candied quality to it. It was crisp to perfection and simply addicting. There was a Double Bacon Parmesan Hash special, which looked and sounded amazing so I ordered that. This was chock full of potatoes, onion, Parmesan cream and cheese, with a fried egg, arugula, and shredded Parmesan on top. There were also 2 pieces of bacon, but I wanted much more, especially because Double Bacon was in the name. The Egg was perfectly cooked with a slight crunch at the edges and well seasoned. The Potatoes were actually crispy with melty Parmesan on top. This was irresistibly cheesy and full of wonderful flavor. It was a very hearty and tasty meal. I think the addition of Millionaire Bacon would elevate the dish and make it even more enjoyable. The service could have been better, but I think it was because they were extremely busy and a lot was going on. The host was gracious and apologetic about the long wait, really doing his best to get us seated more quickly. However, our waitress was a bit curt and seemed like she couldn't be bothered by extensive questions about the dishes and unlisted prices. I would not rush to return.
