I learned about this place from going to the Persian Festival where they had a stand. The waitress said that all the meal combos were only suggestions and they'd happily do substitutions. So awesome! This is the wrost restaurant I have even been in last 20 years in this area. It is located in a rather new building but the inside looks old. The sandwitch was so plain that I decided to pack home to add some flavor to it myelf. The food was bad. The services are worse. The owner's wife ask the owner if they should charge for water in front of us. When she deliver the food to the table without a smile, we said "Thank you." She left the food on the table without saying a word. Oh yeah, we are use a BOGO coupon but I don't think we deserve this kind of service and tasteless food. Food is good. The koobideh has gotten a tad smaller. The chicken kabob is really good. Their service is okay... inconsistent. The blonde lady is a little rude, but the young gentleman is excellent. The older man (i think his owner/manager), he's nice too but when it's busy, he seems to have a hard time keeping up. I had dinner here tonight with some friends. I've never had Persian food so I can't speak to the authenticity of my meal, but it tasted wonderful and overall, I had a pleasant experience. I had the beef kabob with lentil rice. The beef was well-seasoned and cooked well but was not tough. The rice is cooked with saffron and is some of the best rice I have ever had. I could have had a meal of that! Also worth noting - the bread! So good! A friend of mine ordered the doogh, a yogurt-based drink, and our server offered to bring her a sample first before she committed to ordering it. This is a gesture that I always appreciate when dining out. Doogh is an acquired taste, but it was really great to try it before ordering. The atmosphere is more appropriate for lunch or a very casual dinner. It's small place that's a bit brightly lit and our server, while kind, was a little inattentive. Wonderful lunch with huge portions! We had an eggplant dip, some hummus and the cucumber mint salad along with chicken kabob on lentil rice. Everything was spiced perfectly- the chicken was moist and tasted amazing! The Persian bread is crispier than pita bread, almost like lavosh. Everything was fantastic! We ordered a nice spread and ate family style to maximize sampling. The eggplant appetizer is a fun, light spin on baba ganoush with mint. Refreshing! The lamb kabob with lentil rice roasted tomatoes and cucumber yogurt sauce was very nice. We added an extra vegetable kabob and the traditional stew to "beef" up the vegetable content of our meal and to break out of the traditional meal. We topped it off with a Neapolitan dessert which was light and airy with a very subtle yet sweet flavor. We will definitely be back soon. Hi I have been going to Flamekabab few times in different times and occasions with my family and friends. Well having a welcome attitude is good for any kind of business, but it's not enough specially when you are dealing with food. Unfortunately the quality of their food is decreasing and their prices are increasing noticeably. I know you have to be able to keep up with your expenses, but presenting a good quality which is the main issue has lost it's true meaning. This place not kid friendly. My wife likes the kind of food they serve and I took her there with our 2 kids(4 and 1 yr old). We called and made our reservation, so there was no problem getting a table. Pretty much all other tables were occupied by the time we were seated except one. The lady who seated us gave us the menu and did not even ask us if we wanted to drink anything. After sitting there for 10 minutes, the lady who seated us swings by to say that she will be with us soon and then continues to serve other tables. After about 15 minutes and with us still sitting there and kids getting impatient and hungry, I called the server lady to ask for a couple of pieces of bread to keep kids occupied. She gave us exactly two pieces of stale and cold bread. By this time, another family with two adults and one kid arrived in the restaurant. They were seated and within 2 minutes they got their drinks, bread and food. That was surprising. Finally the lady took our order and after waiting for about 35-40 minutes we got our food and still no drinks. I managed to get one glass of water by walking upto the counter and getting it myself. We wanted to get out as my younger child had ran out of patience and started screaming. Overall, this is not the place if you have small kids who are hungry. The food is OK, but not that great to be waiting for an hour. Also it looks like if you don't have special privileges (don't know what) you should wait for your turn to get food regardless of when you came in. Not planning to go there again and not going to recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great service! Delicious food! We ordered the spicy chicken koobideh which comes with a side of rice/rice and salad, hummus, and the persian ice-cream for dessert. The hummus was great and so was the pita! The koobideh was juicy and tender, the salad was fresh, and the side of lentil rice was absolutely spot on. We thought we would get charred/roasted tomatoes on the side as part of the platter since that was mentioned on the menu but I have a feeling they forgot to put them on our plates. I stole glances at other diner's plates (yeah, I am afraid I do that sometimes) and saw that they had them and they looked yummy! The perfect climax to the meal was the ice-cream- not too sweet, divine and loaded with pistachios. The servers were polite and friendly. I had tried their food at the Persian festival a while back and I was pleased with it so I visited again tonight when I had a kabob craving. Right off the bat I noticed there were other Persians there which was comforting. I enjoyed the decor, it was simple and not overkill,and there was complimentary hot Persian tea, which I loved. That made me feel like I was eating at someones house instead of a restaurant. The mast o khiar they brought to the table with the complimentary bread was delicious .The Kashk e bademjan was very tasty, but I had it before at the festival, it was as delicious as I remember it. The kabob koobideh was also as delicious as I remember it. The food was also halal so that was a big plus. The napoleon we got for desert was the best we have had in the US that I can remember. The rice, was prefect, I expected no less but after I have seen some less than stellar rice coming from middle eastern restaurants in north carolina I almost cried out in joy to see some proper rice. They even brought out the butter for me to mix with my rice. Not only will I recommend this place to my friends and others but I will be returning often. Wow, this was great =good food & friendly staff. I had the ground beef with grated onion, fresh herbs and spices, charbroiled on a skewer over an open flame, served with green rice and a salad, fresh homemade bread with yogurt sauce on the side. It was the lunch special for $5.99 what a deal. DELICIOUS!! They have a free hot tea station, which I had a cup while I waited for my lunch. This is an excellent place to eat at!! They have different sampler platters to try. The fresh baked bread and yogurt dip is made daily, yum yum. We loved the chicken and lamb. Hummus was outstanding, but service was a complete fail. 3 people in back, 1 server who shouldn't be a server in the 1st place. I had hoped to order something other than water, but could never get servers attention. Heard the staff in back talking about various ethnic groups, and select groups received better service than others. Our table had crumbs under the glass, and chipped glass on corners. The manager or owner stopped and asked how everything was and offered no apologies when we said it wasn't very good service - just smiled and proceeded to the next table.
