I bought a pear ginger pie for $27 took three bites and threw the rest away. The pie is misnamed. There was very little pear or ginger to be found. It should be called crust and crumble. First of all, it's important to note that have only gone in at the end of a weekday. I would imagine that this reflects in the availability of variety. I have seen some different desserts on occasion, but there are always meat pies in the freezer and apple pies behind the counter. I have purchased Apple pies on several occasions and have never been disappointed. When I brought one to an event, someone asked me where it came from because it was the best apple pie they had ever had. It seems like preordering is the way to go if you want more variety. My friend was visiting from Florida and we like to explore and find new places. So, we took a drive out to Norton and got a blueberry crumb pie. I was a little stunned that the pie was $26 and all the way home, we grumbled about it. However, after getting home and tasting it, we decided it was the best blueberry pie we ever tasted. I ordered out from here the other night, I got a large chicken pie and a single serve French meat pie. Chicken pie is PACKED with yummy chicken and veggies, my parents raved about the crust and how flavorful the gravy in the pie was. The French meat pie, much of the same, packed with tons a meat and flavor. As for desert, all I was lucky enough to try was the caramel apple crumble and dear Christ, it was delicious. Crunchy, buttery, flavorful. My parents each raved over the raspberry cheesecake, saying it was the best cheesecake they ever had. I haven't gotten any feedback about the slice of apple I brought home for my dad, but I imagine it was delicious just like everything else. The lady working when I picked up, I regret not getting her name, was so sweet and personable, she made you feel like you've been coming in for years. I've been wanting to try this place since i saw it on a food show recently and decided to swing by. Located on the roadside parking out front was available but its bit tight, no worries. Small in size but plenty of selection especially in the dessert or sweet pies, however i went for the chicken pot pie and when i got there at 11.40am there were only 2 warm ones left, which i took as a good sign, Staff was friendly, the pies themselves were almost $24 for the pair (i think) so i was hoping to be wowed, so, i ran home with my chicken pies, when i dug in there was plenty of chicken and veggies in there, but i found the whole thing to be over seasoned. I could barely tell it was chicken. shame. The pastry itself was delicious, and i kind of wished they offered other meat pies (they do offer a couple of others but i'm not a fan of the "French" meat pie or cottage or shepherds pie which, is a pie already and really shouldn't be in a crust!) I really wished they'd do a steak and ale, or steak and mushroom, or chicken and leek but maybe there's no market for those types. We finally visited Flaky Crust Pie again after a long wait through the Covid experience, we just couldn't wait any longer! Once again the Shepherds Pies are SO delicious!! This visit we ordered the Caramel Apple Pie (unbelievably good!!) and I am glad we did. Thanks for the great pies and online ordering process makes the whole experience ideal. Can't express enough how great this place is!! The owner is so nice and friendly and knows how to run a business! The updates on facebook and instagram surrounding Thanksgiving orders were amazing. You can order online 24 hours in advance, but if you want to order the same day you have to call when they open. They always make extra pies but they can't guarantee any if you don't order. You can choose for the savory pies hot or frozen. They had a freezer pretty well stocked when I went but some of the fruit pies were selling out. The pies come in two sizes small and large. They do run different posts on a monthly basis. In addition to the small and large pies they also have handheld pies, Whoopie pies, and cookies. This is a counter only place there is no seating inside. On this visit we got six different small pies and one large Thanksgiving pie. Every single one was just as good as the next. I will make sure to keep this place in mind for future holidays, parties, or when I just feel like having some pie. read more

The Oreo coconut cream pie was amazing. I Facebook messaged them and heard back very quickly and I was able to order a pie for Mother's Day less than 24 hours in advance. The woman who I spoke to on the phone was very friendly as well as the women working inside when I went to pick up the pie.
