Daughter's bday cake

We got my daughter's birthday cake here in March, and she did an absolutely amazing job! It looked and tasted even better than we ever expected. We loved it so much that we just got another cake there for our son's baptism party. Amazing again, beyond expectations! I can't say enough about how much we love their cakes. And they are so nice too! I had my 2 year old daughter with me both times when I picked up the cakes and they helped us carry them out to the car. Something else that I thought was really nice is that they had a donation table where they had breads that if you need you could take or you could donate for others.

My boyfriend wanted a pistachio cake for his birthday, I called at least 15 bakeries and no one made pistachio cakes. I called Oven Essence and without hesitation they agreed to make this special cake. The cake was amazing! Filled with pistachios and the most delicious buttercream frosting the cake was so rich and delicious, he was so happy about his pistachio birthday cake. I snagged a few of the pistachio cookies and they were amazing as well. I will definitely recommend Oven Essence to all of my friends. They will get all of my future business.

Very sub par desserts. Everything I ordered was really dry, dense and lacked flavor. Definitely didn't taste fresh

Terribly over priced. Food appears old. Bad attitudes there. Tried twice, didn't like both times. Didn't look very clean.

But this is my second time at Cucina 38, and it remains SPECTACULAR--like Boston, Prov or NYC spectacular. The mistletoe martini was fantastic and my favorite thing is their sautéed calamari appetizer. The Caesar salad dressing is one of the best--I could bathe in it. The birthday boy had the Bolognese and I had the special--short rib tortellini. Both were excellent. As it was a BD celebration, the pistachio torta was delivered with lit candle, a nice touch for a very yummy cake. Kevin, the chef/owner, even sent over a complimentary plate of house made tiramisu truffles, which were decadent and delicious. Can't forget Olivia, our server. She was amazing and chatty and just really a special addition to a great evening. Make a reservation and go! It's a small place (closed Sunday & Monday) and if you get chilly, best to bring a sweater in the winter.

It is situated in downtown North Attleboro across from Town Hall. My party visited on a Friday night and was seated promptly despite not having a reservation. We were quickly greeted by the staff who helped us get settled. We ordered wine to accompany our meals this evening. The wine list offers a varied selection available in both glasses and bottles. The food menu is a slice of Italy with many options from both the land and sea. For our meals my party selected the Pan Seared Haddock and the Penne Pollo Pesto. The haddock was deliciously cooked and was flavorful, with sides to match. The pesto pasta was also very good, but there was not as much chicken as we would have hoped. Additionally, the pesto sauce was very oily and had a more grainy texture than expected. The flavor was good nonetheless. Overall this was a very good dinner experience. The service at this restaurant is courteous and efficient. I recommend this restaurant for any occasion, and suggest you make it a point to visit sometime!

I was hoping to get something basic like strawberry ice cream, but as I walked in, saw some shortcake and knew I wanted that instantly. Kinda cool that you can pick two flavors for the Strawberry Shortcake and a cherry on top. So good, I devoured it instantly. The lime rickey tasted too watered down, so nothing of note there. They do have windows outside to order like other ice cream places, but I guess they weren't opened until a later time? Instead, you can walk into the shop and order from there. There's actually alot going on inside, cake, candy and obviously ice cream! If the race happens again, this will definitely be part of the routine.

THIS IS THE SPOT! Homemade ice cream of your dreams is here!!…read more I chose the seasonal Peach flavor in kiddie which could easily be split by two people. And my partner chose the small sundae with Raspberry Oreo ice cream, fudge, and whip cream. Two items together came to about $11.50! I was blown away by the size of ice cream for the price and happily pleased by the flavors and offerings. There are three lines, but they go by quickly with the fast and efficient workers. It's a quick casual spot offering drinks, ice cream, and candy with many picnic tables. Across the street is a beautiful park and pickle ball court. There is a small parking lot and you can park on the side if the lot is full. There's not a summer day that goes by that I don't think of this ice cream memory.

A place I never knew of I was taken here one night for dinner. It is a place where you can look at…read morethe menu and then sit down waiting for the order to arrive. It is simple and plan. Nothing fancy. As it was, there were not many tables taken at that time yet. But within 30 minutes the place packed up. It was locals who know this is a the place to go, grab a beer or cocktail, then sit down and wait to see what you ordered. Burgundian is a meal to enjoy while having conversations with many others. We started with the IPA beers we ordered. They also had good German beers to select. There are even other European beers available. The list is endless to have. First up to arrive was our Traditional Canadian Poutine. This is House Fries served with Cheddar Cheese Curds, hot beef gravy and fresh scallions. This can be a meal unto itself and is ideal with the beer. We also received a kids meal for a little one. It was chicken fingers and fries. It was so large an adult could have had this for dinner. There was enough left for the next day's lunch. It was fresh, tasty, breaded, and warm. Ideal. There was also Burgundian App Sampler Platter. This was a mix of 2 Arancini, 2 Halloumi Cheese Sticks, 2 Crispy Polenta "Fries" , 2 Wings served with a choice of dips. Again, it could have been a dinner, but with others it was a good dish to share while waiting for the dinner to arrive. We started with US Staycation Burger, switching the beef with chicken. It had melty Three Cheese Blend, Shredded Lettuce , Pickles, and topped with Burgundian mayo. Naturally there was a side of fries and a small salad. It was fresh and tasty and had a flavor to enjoy. Naturally, had to have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Thigh coated in house seasoning. There was creamy Memphis slaw, a spicy sauce you can select and a good hot honey drizzle. The waffle was fresh and enjoyable and ideal for breakfast as well. This was perfect for dinner or breakfast or anytime of the day. One special they did have, and which is not easy to find, is a good Germany Burgundian Currywurst Sausage Dog. Made with a true grilled Knockwurst Sausage it is on a toasted roll that is topped with smoked gouda cheese and caramelized onions. There is curried ketchup which is a variation of what you do find when you order this in Berlin. It too had fries on the side. The taste was good. It was similar to what I remember when living in Germany. And it is a rare find in many restaurants. But here it was. And with a German beer, it was good. Overall, Burgundian is a place to find. It is not easy, but it is there. It is small and simple. You enter and order at the counter. You can go from Beer to a coffee. From an Appy to a meal. The portions are large. The prices are good. The team is good to work with, ask questions and help. This is not a fancy place, but they will take reservations. Your choice here. A true mix of flavors, and cultures, and ideas on what to have next. I will go back just for the Currywurst. Danke.

My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.
