Came in the day before Thanksgiving to get some pies and bread. Right away, I noticed a cooler of sodas labeled "Let's Go Brandon" and I immediately turned around and left. As someone who is a part of the LGBTQ community, I felt unsafe. It's sad that a local business would choose to express political views over their customers. Also, there were DOZENS of pies left (it was pretty late in the evening) so I can only assume they aren't great. Always a great experience going to this Bakery discovered them when my bakery took a slight Hiatus due to the virus but have now reopened again. I go there now to this new bakery oven essence to pick up items that are keto friendly as I work with a nurse at night who is on the keto diet and it's hard to find treats for her but they sell really good variety of Keto treats. They carry of fruit cheesecake a brownie and also a peanut butter bar. She says they are excellent they are to-die-for they are so good. I sometimes grab the variety bag off the table when you make a donation and you give a chance to try something new that they make I have done this two or three times and I've actually enjoyed trying new stuff and then have gone back in and actually bought that new stuff I've tried but on the full-service side of the of the bakery. I have had this cinnamon rolls I've had their scones, croissants and cookies. Everything is delicious the people are friendly the lady who owns it makes the baking and her children actually work in the front as clerks to her customers. I went in this morning Tuesday not realize they didn't open till 1 I went in there around 10:15 it wasn't anything in the case but they allowed me to make a pre-order for 1 pick up which I did when I went back in to pick up I also picked up a bag that had a pecan roll in it a cinnamon roll a scone and a blueberry muffin so I'll get to try something new again and then when I like that I'll go back another day and buy them on the regular price it is definitely worth buying it's right on the Main Street in North Attleboro right on Route 1A right before the traffic lights at the corner of Elm Street and route 1A. Definetly worth trying this place out! I got myself a coconut creme pie from here and while it wasn't anything earth shattering, it was still very yummy and im glad to get actual quality baked sweets from a local place. Family also really liked the cupcakes they got. Hours are also very reasonable, was able to catch this place in the late afternoon unlike the other one downtown. Stopped in here after lunch the other day. It is a cute shop. The selection was small for a bakery. We ordered six cupcakes in all different flavors from Vanilla sugar cookie, lemon cream, oreo, to banana bread caramel. I later called and asked why they were not wearing masks and the person who answered the phone yelled at me, ranted something about politics and hung up. They have permanently lost our business. We got my daughter's birthday cake here in March, and she did an absolutely amazing job! It looked and tasted even better than we ever expected. We loved it so much that we just got another cake there for our son's baptism party. Amazing again, beyond expectations! I can't say enough about how much we love their cakes. And they are so nice too! I had my 2 year old daughter with me both times when I picked up the cakes and they helped us carry them out to the car. Something else that I thought was really nice is that they had a donation table where they had breads that if you need you could take or you could donate for others. read more

My boyfriend wanted a pistachio cake for his birthday, I called at least 15 bakeries and no one made pistachio cakes. I called Oven Essence and without hesitation they agreed to make this special cake. The cake was amazing! Filled with pistachios and the most delicious buttercream frosting the cake was so rich and delicious, he was so happy about his pistachio birthday cake. Hold on to your butts, NoAtt.....there's a FREAKIN' bakery in this town! I stumbled upon this sweet spot when popping over to the library (directly across the street). "Oven Essence? ....well, that sounds just delightful," I proclaimed whilst skipping across the street with my husband. We had been disappointed by so may other 'coffee spots' in town (bleh) and so our hopes were high for this teeny cafe. Enter onto a cozy shop with warm colors, swooning tunes (Sinatra on the day of our visit), and the aroma of bread and coffee - - - how could you NOT fall in love?! There are two cases of unique pastries (pecan squares, lemon squares, salted caramel banana bread cupcake, berry cheesecake, pumpkin muffins, etc etc etc). We ordered up a pecan square (delicious pie...in bar form) and a cream puff (with vanilla custard!) along with two New Harvest coffees (local and ground daily? you're wrackin' up the points, Oven Essence). Drove by this place a few times and decided to check it out. I'm all about local shops and was looking forward to coming here. The shop is cute and small. Offers mostly a variety of cupcakes. They do have other baked good (mostly cookie type) and bread. Not a vast selection so don't expect to visit a full bakery. I bought a cookies n cream cupcake and a loaf of bread. The cupcake was good but it was hard. It was definitely frozen, probably because it was a day old. Other reviews state the same So probably the norm here but I will say it did taste good. Maybe lack of traffic is not allowing them to bake fresh everyday and reuse what they make. I hope they can advertise and get more traffic. Wishing them the best. read more

Ordered 3 chocolate chip cookies, and 4 cupcakes from this place through door dash. This place actually sent us FROZEN CUPCAKES. Even the cookies were frozen! Clearly their items are not fresh. 2 of our cupcakes had a "filling" and it was rock solid frozen on the inside. Only 1 of our 4 cupcakes were not frozen (I'm assuming this one thawed enough by the time it got to us). The other 3 were very very Cold and Hard. And the rock solid filling was undeniable proof that this place does not sell freshly baked goods. The presentation (such as frosting technique) was very unprofessional and the flavors were cheap and bland like a grocery store bakery. For our recent 30 anniversary my children purchased the cake from Oven Essence, to support local. The cake was like a 20 pound brick and sadly tasted like one too. As soon as people started eating it there were comments about where was it made as it was so dry. The frosting was just ok, not whipped, not buttery, just a sugary dense mass. The next day my mom said that everything about the party was fantastic except for one detail, right away I knew what she was going to say and sure enough she said, "The cake was terrible". Apparently people took bites and threw the rest away. What a complete waste of a very expensive $95 basic sheet cake. The part that irked me that most is that this isn't the first time we've been there, twice before we have gotten some yummy cheesecake, so we are repeat customers. When I called to speak to the owner, to discuss my unhappiness with the cake, I left a message with her mother and never got the courtesy of a return call, that sealed the deal for this lousy review. This is one tasty bakery. We stopped in after dinner at Table at Ten. One word for you: ChocolateCake. Yes I know how to spell but it's that moist and delicious. The frosting and the cake come together to form a singular wedge of super moist awesomeness. You couldn't but more chocolatey in this chocolate cake. Way back when, back in the days when baked goodies were made by hand, made with this thing called 'pride' and 'love', using things like 'butter', 'sugar', 'honey', 'buttermilk'.... Things that make baked yummies; yummy! Things long forgotten for cheap, corner cutting additives like: propylene glycol, corn syrup, monosodium glutamate, soy protein isolates, and the such.... A simpler time where what counted was what you put into your product, and what you got out of your hard work was exactly what you put in! This is real baked goodies at it's best! No frills, no gimmicks, no new age Mumbo-jumbo swaddled in fakeness. The breads, pastries, pies, cupcakes, scones are put together like a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air! The decor is lacking. There is not much for sit-in eating. Basic! My 5 stars are concentrated solely on product, personality of staff, and that should be all, because it is a 'Bakery'. I was really excited to come here BUT not a good experience. There wasn't any decaf hot or cold. He let me know he would make some so we waited but he couldn't figure out the grinder. My husband got a salted caramel banana muffin that wasn't baked thru. I got a toffee cheesecake that wasn't that great and just that was almost ten bucks!!
