Best ice cream ever. What fool would give this place less than 5 stars? I live a few miles away and come here all the time during their open season (mid-April thru October). This year, I tried 35 different flavors. And I had a few of those more than once. Yup, I eat that much ices cream. It brings me great joy, what can I say? I eat it for lunch 1-2x/wk. We've been going to this family farm for decades corn and veggies and Icecream are all delicious.

We are traveling from CA and took a day specifically to find a good corn maze. This was great! Fun scavenger hunt and challenging maze that took us just under an hour. The attendant was so kind and the maze was well kept. We treated ourselves to ice cream, and we stuck with the baby scoops (1/2 scoop of 1 flavor) and they were perfect for each of us. Incredible ice cream too! Wish we lived closer to visit more often. read more

Got an ice cream cone, one lick, fell to the gravel. The young 16 yr old girl never packed it...I went back to the front of the line and she said "you'll have to stand back in the line for service". You be be the judge. The old ignorant hag inside where you buy corn from, go get some for yourself. If she's there, (which usually is) ,she's a real peach. Ignorant and rude.. Done with that joint. In these times where people don't spend much, customer svervice should be #1. Don't go here if you want a pleasant experience! Hanson farm in bridgewater.....great place, best corn. Got my ice cream fix today. I always struggle on what size to get. So today we were going to get large. There was a line, but was served within a minute. I ordered our larges in cones and stood and watched the very, very nice girl keep digging in for more ice cream. I yelled to her to stop at the 2 scoops it was huge. The ice cream is very good. They sell Richardson's which is made on the North Shore, I think. The prices are reasonable with good portions. It is usually packed hot nights and weekends in the summer. Watch out for "game nights" when the soccer teams and little league show up after games for ice cream. You will never get to the window. read more

Went here to see what all the fuss is about, did the corn maze which was really cool but other than that, there is not much to this place. I thought they had a farm country store but all it amounted to was a half a room with some baskets of peppers and some apples. The line for the ice cream was out to the street and we waited almost an hour for the tons of flavors they had, but the service was so sloowww. Plus the ice cream was not worth it, was totally tasteless and I was shocked at why people would wait so long for tasteless ice cream?? Not sure I would come back here for the food, but the maze was fun despite the $8 a piece for each of us. read more

Good points: their corn is delicious, and they have a cute ice cream stand with a wide variety of flavors. Bad points: the ice cream is not reeeeaaaallly worthy of all the hype, and...we ordered a bulk load of compost from them which had a lot of plastic bits in it (fair enough, it was unscreened) and LOADED with weed seeds. we used it to mulch a couple garden beds, and about a week after we had a load of purslane-like weeds germinating all over it. (note: we had never seen this weed in our yard before, and it was also germinating all over the pile of leftover compost). NEVER buy their compost, unless you want to be weeding like crazy. read more

I used to really love this place, but over the years the service has gotten slower. The ice cream itself is great, but I wish they had other vegan options other than just fruit sorbet flavors. Severely disappointed with this farm we were so excited to go drive over 35mins and on a football Sunday to have them tell us we couldn't go into the corn maze till noon their ice cream shop opened before the maze!! I told them that I was only in town a short while because we are military and just visiting and they eh sorry . i asked if we could look anywhere else and they ignored us. My boyfriend and I loved the Wizard of Oz themed corn maze in the fall, it was such a fun local activity. I get ice cream here a lot throughout the summer. I'm pretty sure they purchase their ice cream from another company, but they have tons of different flavors and toppings to choose from. They also have flavors to match dietary needs. A little on the pricey side, but not too bad. I got a frappe this weekend and really enjoyed it. It's definitely a fun place to go with the kids, lots of seating available (huge Adirondack chair is always a hit).
