Flawless. This is the one!…read more After a long search of the Northern AZ VRBOs for a 4 night stay for 9, we found ClassyCabinsAZ and booked Bearly-A-Cabin for Thanksgiving! The Cabin: Oftentimes something looks better on the Internet than reality, however this was not the case with Bearly-A-Cabin. We drove in from Monument Valley on Wednesday evening and were absolutely floored. You think it looks fantastic in the pictures? It's better! The cabin was absolutely spotless floor to ceiling, and is literally a *complete* home. How complete? We prepared Thanksgiving dinner for 9 here. What did we need to bring to prepare it? Just the food. Everything else was here - baking pans, settings, dishes for numerous sides, cutlery, and every other item needed. Giant dining room table, solid wood and awesome. It isn't like a hotel room or suite - it's a fully operational HOME with literally everything you have in your own and more. Just show up with groceries and you're set for anything. The cabin layout is amazing - very large great room with a sofa at least 2x large as your own, fully stocked kitchen as mentioned above, tons of sleeping options with the 2 king bedrooms ( beds are awesome ) and the 2 bunk rooms + the loft, game room with pool table, decks on both sides of the house and an ACRE of land for hanging out and playing with your kids. The property lines are well marked with rows of large rocks so you know where "your" land is! Being outside on the property was serene - clean air, quiet, relaxing! The Area: This is your home base. We did Grand Canyon, Williams for the Polar Express, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, and Sedona. Nothing is further than 60 miles. Very ideal location if you want to hit the National Parks and Monuments. We left during the first snow on Sunday morning, I bet the place is even more fun with some snow cover! They have sleds and snow toys in a deck box in the front. We joked that even if we just stayed at the cabin and went nowhere it would have been awesome. You just want to be in it, it is so well done and decorated. If you group is large, don't fret - the cabin is plenty large! From initial contact through the end of our stay the process was smooth and painless. Excellent communication from our hosts Amy and Steve throughout! Very quick replies to my many questions prior to booking, as well as after all monies were transferred. The excellent service did not stop with payment in full. So glad we found and booked this - we will be back.

So many things, unfortunately…read more *The washer and dryer were sure to be a fire hazard with all the lint we pulled out. *We spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up with a paper towel -- it was black! *The dishes were chipped; and check out the oven mitts. *Pillows, blankets, sheets were just tossed into closets -- they looked and smelled dirty. Plus there weren't dressers, so we couldn't even rely on the closets to store clothes. *There were crumbs in all the kitchen drawers. *There was pet hair everywhere -- including on the counters and on appliances. *The bathroom rugs looked like they hadn't been washed for years. Again, so unfortunate! Cute place in a great location. We did contact Amy -- she said they had hired a new cleaning service and she would let them know. But by the looks of things, it's been a while since this place had a thorough cleaning.

None of the units were as they are represented on the different websites. They are all described in advertising as cabins. These are not cabins! They are condos. Some said they had direct access to the river. They had access, but the gates were paddle locked. Unit #1 advertised that it had hammocks on the deck. It did not. Unit #44 was the worst. Both the front and back door were unlocked when we arrived. The hot tub on the back deck had no water in it. Unit #24 was amazing! I could add other things, but you get the idea. With all this said, we loved the location and the employees were very friendly, so I would book here again. One additional word of caution check pricing on different platforms. The pricing is wildly different from one site to another.

We had friends tag along and stay in a cabin, which was also new and well spaced apart from each other. My only complaint is the playground. Having kids, it's nice to have something that can occupy them for hours at a campground, but this one falls very short.

The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed, including a private bathroom and shower, all the basic necessities, and a beautiful view of the forest. We went fishing, made s'mores by the fire, enjoyed some Cutwaters, and spent time at the stargazing area at night. Dinner was definitely the highlight. Chef D absolutely hooked us up! We had the ribeye, ribs, Brussels sprouts, seasonal chef vegetables, mac & cheese, wild rice, and a side of shrimp. The mac & cheese was DIVINE, and the wild rice genuinely brought back memories of the kind my grandma used to make. Everything was so good, and we also had some great conversation with Chef D, which made the experience even more memorable. Having a telephone available would be particularly convenient for guests who may have questions or need assistance, especially international visitors whose phones may not work reliably while traveling. A full-length mirror in the room would also have been a nice addition. We booked through…read morehotels.com / Expedia where the room was advertised as a suite (2 queen + sofa bed) that sleeps 5 but the hotel does not have a room like this. We recognize this does not fall on the hotel however what made our stay here unenjoyable was the hotel owner. The hotel owner here acknowledged that they know third party websites are not accurate and there was nothing they could do. He offered to discount us a second room however they only had a second room available for 1 night then we'd have to get a room someplace else. After discussing with the family 5, we decided we would make the 1 room work with 2 beds and a regular couch and let the staff know. 1 hour later after we unpacked and got all ready for dinner, the hotel owner called to let us know we actually could not have 5 people stay in the suite. The hotel owner tried to blame it on us and claimed we were told 5 people could not stay here. However, the front desk staff member was there upon our initial conversation with the hotel owner and she allowed us to still stay here and make the room work so he clearly did not mention this beforehand. This came off as very unprofessional to us and we were very unhappy as we checked in over 2 hours ago and made it clear we had 5 people. The hotel owner made us book a second room, which ended up not being discounted, and advised us to take it up with hotels.com for a refund or dispute as there was really nothing he could do. After talking to hotels.com for 45 minutes, hotels.com advised they contacted the Lantern Light Inn for a refund, and the hotel owner said no even though we were willing to check out and leave. This also means the owner is clearly able to communicate with hotels.com to let them know their listing of the room is incorrect, but has never done anything to change it. We specifically booked a room for 5 for Father's Day weekend and my mom's birthday so we could all stay together. This hotel owner clearly will prioritize profit over guest satisfaction or hospitality. Since we were not able to get a refund and move hotels, our party was forced to stay at different hotels and be broken apart for our celebration weekend. If you are looking for a place to stay in Sedona, this would not be my recommendation as I believe you will find better hospitality someplace else for your special trip. Besides the hospitality, the space is pretty however there are only 10 rooms in total so it is small. They only allow 1 car per room as part of their policy which was also not advertised. We were forced to use their overflow lot which belongs to the insurance company next door. They do provide complimentary snacks for the room however the drinks do cost money and they stock the mini fridge full of them so it is hard to put your own stuff in there. Their office hours are only from 9-12 and 3-7 otherwise nobody is there for assistance. Nobody was typically there until 9:30ish. This was a special occasion trip for us and instead of feeling cared for, the hotel would not do anything to rectify the situation forcing us to split up for our trip. We were very disappointed and would not stay here again.

Especially the RN's who work Labor & Delivery) The campground was covered in snow (February) and so I cannot comment about the showers/restrooms/laundromat, etc. as these services are not available in the winter. However, this just means more available spaces to park or camp (they have sites for tents, Campers, big 5th wheels with slide-outs and huge motor coaches they have new 50amp sites for with easy pull in access! Sites are big enough and signage is good. The one thing I would suggest is during the summer, they need to somehow mark the driving pathways so they can easily be distinguished from campsites when snowfall covers the ground. We accidentally drove thru some tent sites getting to our reserved 30amp space in the very back of the campground. No harm done - but my sweet hubby who was driving in was getting quite grumpy how awkward it was to park - only to later realize that if we would have followed the roadway, it would've made a lot more sense and been so much easier! Once we parked, Water and Electric hook ups were quite easy, and each site had a picnic table with plenty of room for parking we even had room at our site for an extra car to park. We thought we would only be there a couple of nights, but due to complications with the birth we ended up having to stay more nights and even asked for a late checkout, and both needs were met by office staff with such kindness and understanding. By the way, definitely make some time to shop around the store. Besides supporting your local community businesses, they have some excellent products for a VERY tasty charcuterie board, light lunch and snacks to take back to your campsite or pack up to go on a hike! My last comment is about marking your GPS coordinates if you are on any site at the back (closest to the brick wall) where the new 50amp and 30amp sites are. Apple Maps, Google Maps & Waze will all mark correct GPS coordinates, however, when you switch to an address, it will tell you that you are on the next street over as if you are one of the apartments on the other side, of the brick wall. In fact, even the sites across from our not up against the brick wall, still show an address using the street name "Pico Del Monte Circle" on the other side of the brick wall where the apartments are located. This is pretty important if you are using your location finder to give somebody else directions to where you are or using apps like Instacart or DoorDash. I did use DoorDash while we were there and the driver had to call and I had to explain how to get into the campground.. this has nothing to do with Woody Mountain Campground and everything to do with the map situation. I did report it to Apple and Google. Hopefully it will get fixed but as of today, i see that has not been fixed. (may 2026)
