    Machine printed ticket
    Sheri M.

If you're looking to see a movie without interacting with a single person, this may be the place for you. This was our experience last Thursday. It was the first day of the nationwide release of the new Wes Anderson film and we didn't want to fool around so we purchased our tickets (with seat assignments) online. The entire time we were there I only spotted one employee--the guy working concessions with a very long line. We didn't want to be late to the movie so we purchased candy at the discount store next door (I know), which I suspect was faster, scanned and printed our tickets at the machine in front (no waiting), and found our way to theater six. The oversized reclining seats were super comfortable, and from my perspective (seat D5) the screen placement was perfect. Despite this being the closest theater, I usually go to the Eveningstar or the Nickelodeon, and I can't really say why? Maybe (because of the location) I fear this one is owned by the big box discount store next door? I can see how this kind of an experience (no customer service) could be off putting to some but overall, I enjoyed the experience.

We've come to the movie, Covenent.

Good comfortable place to see a movie. Pricing is steep. And the chairs don't seem as comfy as the Apple Theaters.

    Excellent movie!!

This theater is so nice. Clean, well staffed and the recliners are so comfortable! We hadn't been to a theater in such a long time this was a treat. The movie was excellent! If you haven't seen Cruella, it's a must see. Add this to your movie list.

Went to see Ghostbusters tonight to check out the new Flagship movie theater in Falmouth. While the movie was "meh", the big win of the evening were the incredible super comfortable fully reclining lounge seats. There is so much space in this theater that when chairs are in full recline mode, there is still plenty of room for people to get in and out of their row. You can buy your tickets online and select your seat in advance, or take a chance and buy tickets at the door. There is also a $5 stock price for a drink and you can fill up as many times as you like! The theater JUST opened and right now are running blockbuster and teen type movies, hopefully something interesting might get thrown in there at some point.

Plenty of room for the whole family!

I love going to the movies. It's one of my guilty pleasures. I truly don't care what movie I am seeing, I just love going. It could be the smell of the popcorn. The innate coolness of the theater. Maybe the Twizzlers I ALWAYS finish before the movie begins. Or... maybe it's all of it. Flagship was the first theater I had ever been to where the seats reclined, almost flat. I love how much room is still between the end of the seat and the next row! You can easily walk through to your seat even if everyone is reclined. They are super comfy seats and aside from the front row there isn't a bad seat in the house. Granted the kids think the front is the best, oh to be young and not care about my neck again. The seats are great. I just wish you could raise the armrests. Would be nice to get closer to that special someone. The snacks are reasonably priced, as far as movie theaters go, and I love that I can pour my own soda. The different popcorn flavorings are always a hit with the kids. And the candy selection is very nice. The food area is always clean and well kept. The bathrooms are also excellent. One of the best parts was the innovation of picking your seats ahead of time. As others say it's awesome to buy my tickets days ahead of time and not worry about getting there ahead of time to get good seats. I already have them! This place is a lot of fun. Just a few bad experiences to deduct a star. 1) their Wi-Fi goes down a lot, which means no credit cards. Sucks taking kids to the movies but not being able to buy them snacks. 2) went to see a movie in December of 2018, and their heat wasn't working. Weren't offering refunds either. So we sat, shivering in our seats with our coats on and with some blankets we found in the car. And most importantly 3) Cinemagic has quickly caught up. Their seats are just as cozy, AND you can put the armrests up. All in all it's a great theater, if you are close. We go to Clark's Pond now, as it's right around the corner. We still hit this spot from time to time, as it's the OG. So I highly recommend this place. Unless... there's a similar theater closer.

We went to see Oppenheimer. Getting our tickets was easy, and the theatre was both clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the picture.

One of Portland's treasures, the Nick has been operating in the Old Port for over 40 years, and screens mainstream indie films as well as current blockbusters. Surrounded by the best restaurants and cafés Portland has to offer, it's super easy to park and combine a dinner and a movie. The garage next door is a sure thing if you're not into street parking, just know it's closed on Sundays. I probably see a dozen or so films a year at The Nick--I like to see all of the Academy Award nominated films, and this is the place to catch all of the best picture nominees. In the past few weeks I've seen I'm Still Here, Nickel Boys, and The Brutalist at the Nick. A great experience every time--I've walked right up to buy tickets with only one party or two parties in line, at most. The selection concessions offered is reasonable, and includes vegan options. Seats are comfortable, however, they aren't the giant recliners offered at the big corporate cineplexes. Also, you can buy tickets in advance, but you are not able to reserve a particular seat. This is a old school sort of cinema, and yes, the bathrooms are upstairs. They are clean, and you can say hello to Audrey Hepburn on the large Breakfast at Tiffany's poster on your way down the stairs. People really seem to enjoy $6 ticket Tuesdays. Otherwise, tickets are $10 for a matinee and $13 for an evening ticket, less for children and seniors. The Nickelodeon is one of my favorite places in Portland, one of the few institutions that's managed to stand the test of time, and I hope it is able to stay around for another 40 plus years.

You could walk into this theater and never talk to or see an employee. I bought my ticket online, walked directly into the building, and freely to/from my screen without ever needing to show any proof that I had even bought a ticket. Which, like, as an introvert was amazing. But I'm pretty sure I could have stayed there all day bopping in and out of whatever movie I wanted (this was true for a midday, weekday screening, anyway). 3. The bathrooms here are not super clean, but they are super small. 4. If you're seeing a movie that's quieter, artsy, or dialogue-driven and the theater adjacent to yours is showing an action, adventure, or horror movie... that's the movie you're going to hear and experience. The bass absolutely overtakes everything. 5. It doesn't actually get that dark in these theaters. Because this cinema has stadium seating (where the seats go up platform by platform instead of going down a gradual slope), the safety lighting on the wall sort is sort of always in your periphery. I wouldn't not come here, I just wouldn't intentionally choose coming here.

I have been a long time patron of this theater. 20+ years. I've seen many owners, tons of changes, the scare that was Covid-- but one thing was always consistent besides the fresh popcorn. The staff. Many of us know who I'm talking about. The projectionist- Gracia- was there for longer then I had been a patron. She ran that place from the ground up. She even crowd funded (which I supported) purchasing the theater in 2019 before it was sold from under her. She was the bones the bread and the butter of that place. It was a labor of love and watching her adapt over the years and be so consistent was such a joy. Along with her awesome t shirts. This year there was yet another change of ownership. And I have come to learn that she was discarded like her 25 years of service meant nothing. And not only that, I was lied to that she left on her own. Which isn't the case. They also let go another staff member that has disabilities but a whole lot of heart. Sam was the light of my weekend. They worked there 12 years. My heart is heavy. This place was much more than a cinema. It was community. And now it just feels cold. I will not be returning.

Picture quality is good, though there was a smudge on the screen that I kept noticing. The entrance felt a bit disheveled. There wasn't even anyone there to scan my ticket (I bought one online, I promise). You're a sucker and deserve stale popcorn and overpriced snacks if you still buy concessions at a theatre.

The projector wasn't working for the pre-show stuff, which made me nervous enough to go ask the staff about it as the show was about to start. The projector started for the previews and the movie. I wish we hadn't gotten horror movie previews, though, just because it was a Stephen King movie.
