I had a CT scan. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Test was a breeze thanks to great techs! Dr got results quickly. Good experience.

Flagler Hospital has treated my mother so well in the past. We came today on the recommendation of…read moreher doctor. She has fallen 4 times in the last 5 days and he wanted them to check her out and maybe admit her for observation. She had a small cut and bruising on her right arm. He patched that up and discharged her. We waited an hour after the nurse told us she was discharged and we disagreed for him to come back somewhat agitated and loud. He eventually ordered blood work, urinalysis and somewhat later a CT scan of her brain. So eventually the right thing but much disconnect between patient, nurse and doctor. I'm sure he's very good but communication broke down here tonight.

Was no need to deny me water, they tried to say I had a hematoma and needed surgery, none of this was true when I was examined at a trauma unit I was transferred to. Tried to make me take a helicopter flight to the trauma unit and when I denied the helicopter and asked for an ambulance they began to treat me like a problem patient rather than respect my wishes. Had a red head girl call security on me because I asked for a wet rag because they wouldn't give me water and I was over heating and dry heaving. Just horrible people that lied to security about the situation to make me look like I was a problem when I was just hit in a motorcycle accident. I'm surprised they have any good reviews at all. I hear the cafeteria is nice but no one ever offered me anything from there and they also never prescribed me any antibiotics or pain medicine for when I went home. All of this the evening after I was ran over. I generally do not leave reviews unless I feel someone has injured or wronged me. In this case if I could give zero stars I would. This hospital needs to go the way of the buffalo, it's a perfect example of the glaring fact that our healthcare system is in a very sad state.

I was assigned to a room and a group of doctors and nurses who took excellent care of me throughout a two-night stay. The staff did an excellent job in diagnosing and stabilizing my condition, and while the process of being awakened throughout the night for medication and testing/vital signs is frustrating, it's understandable. Some areas of focus could be to reduce the amount of directing patients towards the app for test results and surveys - I question whether all of those surveys truly serve a valuable purpose. I highly commend the nursing staff, though I never really was certain who was in charge of making medical decisions on my behalf. Overall, an excellent service with highly professional people who I will always sincerely appreciate.

When those issues arise I get light sensitivity on one side. The two times I have been here I have felt dismissed. The first time. I came in because I had a random sharp shooting pain on the side of my neck, the side of my neck/face went numb and i was instantly really confused. Told them about everything, they gave me a CT scan couldn't find anything. He asked if I still had a headache I said yes and described the headache and without even leaving he told me that its muscular and prescribed me some naproxen... This last time I went in because a blood vessel popped in my eye but there was a lot of pain associated with it. My neck, my head, pressure in my ears, nose, my eye was very sensitive to the touch. I was also getting nauseous so I came to the ER. They asked me if I'd been sneezing or throwing up. I said no. They asked me if I'd been rubbing my eye. I said no. DR asked me to describe the headache, I told him it was a numbing pain in part of my head... He looked at me and goes "well numb means you can't feel anything so how is there pain"... HOW DOES AN ER DOCTOR NOT KNOW WHAT A NUMBING PAIN IS???? I redescribed it as a dull pain which is not even what it was but he couldn't understand me. He ended up prescribing me with nausea meds and told me I probably rubbed it in my sleep. I rubbed my eye in my sleep so badly that I popped a blood vessel??? yeah... okay The take home notes say Contact doctor if: Medicine doesn't help your symptoms You have a headache that feels different You feel nauseas You have a fever I told them I had three of those four things and they dismissed me. It also says Get help right away if: headache gets bad really quickly you have a stiff next your eye or ear hurts you feel confused Again all things I mentioned and was dismissed. I've had two bad experiences here and don't feel like I was taken seriously.
