I like that they take the time to make sure everyone is comfortable with the time they have, since it is continuously spinning. The seats are very comfortable and there is a glass bottom so you truly have a view of everything while you on riding on your journey through the sky! Plus, the staff is so kind and accommodating. We as a society need to invest and support spaces and places like this that not only offer incredible experiences, but also give back to all its visitors and urban spaces they inhabit - even if they're on a small, missable island (jajaja).

Every animal looked stressed, sad, or neglected. My kids were so upset we left early. I'm ashamed I spent money here, but I'm glad I saw it so I can warn others. This place is cruel, depressing, and should not be allowed to operate.

While unhealthy, it was super delicious. The last item is the one I was most excited for, but unfortunately I would never get again. I heard from some friends that the Birria Ramen was great. Unfortunately, it was overly salty. They use the $1 Marucha ramen cups that you get at Publix, and they put birria mix in it. The taste was overwhelming. I would rate 3/10. What I don't understand is the company's policy of refusing to issue refunds when the experience never takes place. The only option offered was to reschedule. That might work for local residents, but I was visiting from a different country. Even for someone who lives nearby, driving an hour to come back on another day, only to risk another weather cancellation doesn't seem like a reasonable solution. To make matters worse, the person at the front desk showed little interest in helping. Instead of trying to find a fair resolution or showing any empathy, they simply repeated the rescheduling policy. The customer service felt indifferent and unhelpful. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. Since the activity was canceled by the business due to weather, I would have been satisfied with a refund. Instead, I left feeling like my time and money didn't matter. I would't recommend anyone, especially if you're visiting from out of town. If bad weather prevents the tour from happening, don't expect much flexibility or consideration. Stay way and look somewhere else.

Overall, it's a fun water park, but there are definitely a few things to keep in mind before you go. The day of the week makes a HUGE difference. I've had the best experiences going during the week on a school day because you can actually ride everything without waiting in ridiculously long lines. On one visit, one of the lines took forever because the machine that brings the floats back up broke down and someone had to come fix it. One thing that really disappointed me was the music. Since Rapids is supposed to be a family/kid-oriented water park, I was surprised by how ratchet and inappropriate some of the DJ's music was. Even as an adult, I found it distasteful and really not appropriate for a place where there are so many children. The park could also be cleaner. The bathrooms in particular were pretty disgusting and didn't seem well maintained. The food is definitely overpriced, but that's expected at an amusement park. You also can't bring your own food into the park, so you're pretty much stuck purchasing food there. That being said, I actually thought the food was pretty good for what it is! I do think Rapids is really cute for kids, especially with all of the themed children's areas and slides. I still have fun every time I go, but I think it's important to set your expectations. Go on a weekday if you can, expect long lines on busy days, and be prepared for some cleanliness and music issues. Overall, it's still a fun day out, but there are definitely some things I think the park could improve.

You still have to pay for parking. I recommend the parking lot next door. The Pirate Park Playground was built by Superior Playgrounds who was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind pirate theme play space to spark creative play and provide a safe place for budding buccaneers to play. The playground is made of recycled material like milk jugs and was created to be corrosion resistant so that it would always look good in this salt water coastal ecosystem. Located only 100 feet from the beach, the playground is fenced in for safety. There is a large pirate ship for older children to climb on and slide down and a smaller area for younger privateers. The crows nest with rigging looked especially fun to climb. Other playground play structures include clownfish and blue tang fish spring riders, a custom octopus playhouse, and palm tree shade. There are four triangle sail shades and poured-in-place safety surfacing to protect little knees and bottoms. Bathrooms are nearby. During my visit the playground was filled with kids and their families enjoying the nautical theme. This unique play space fosters imagination and physical movement for the youngest North Beach residents and visitors.
