This is the cutest place! I wandered over here while waiting for a movie, and fell in love. This place is such a vibe. Even on a quiet Thursday night, there is a DJ and friendly staff. Fizz is a new secret. Incredible ambience and great music. Go when Leon Ziligson is playing. He's a trained concert pianist but can and will play anything you've ever heard. I always insist he plays a classical piece for me to show off his talents. He is also the best piano tuner in DFW. He tunes all of the pianos for almost every orchestra from Bass Hall to the Meyerson. If you go tell him Chris Hoover sent you and he will steal your heart. Go Leon! We went to this bar after dinner on a Saturday night. The bar has a great vibe and wonderful drinks. It's the first bar I've seen that offers a Last Word on the menu. You should try it!! My husband had a great scotch. We met Frank, one of the owners, who really made us feel welcome and had a great conversation about New York City. It was basically empty when we got there which was on a Saturday night at 11:30 ish PM, but it was so unfortunate because there was so much space and it had such an amazing vibe! The decor itself is conducive to having fun, and when you top that off with outstanding service, great food (the homemade potato chips are awesome), and an extremely gracious host, you've hit the jackpot for a fun night out for everyone!! The ambiance at Fizz lounge is awesome; it's not hard to tell how management (Frank the manager, cool dude) has put careful thought into creating a classy, laid back, somewhat romantic and soulful vibe in the decor, lighting and live entertainment choices (don't get me started, they are awesome!). Didn't know about this place until I started the seeing the advertisements for Monday Castro Nights. Went yesterday after work for drinks and dinner so it was more Castro Evenings for me. Great ambiance and service. Even better was the food and the prices. Had a great Cuban sandwich with what had to been one of the best side salad presentations that I've ever had. Good place to pop in for a quick drink, but only during happy hour because the regular pricing is really high. Sadly there was no Sauvignon Blanc offered by the glass, but their Tequila section was decent. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere felt a little off...like a retro attempt to a diner, but it is supposed to be more like a night club. Wasn't crowded by numbers yet, but felt a little cramped because of the furniture layout. We sat at the bar and the light up bar top made it difficult to read the menu. The shrimp appetizer was good and the shrimp were huge. However, whatever that shrimp ate before it was cooked was also huge and they were not deveined properly before it arrived on our plates. We had to clean it ourselves. Would be interested in trying their to go coffee bar one morning. Think the patio seating may have also been a more laid back setting, but opted for inside because of the heat. read more

Went there last night. They just opened on Mondays and Tuesdays as of 5/1/24, and only serve drinks no food. But the bartender was still kind enough to bring chips out to go with our drinks which were excellent. And I was able to recover my sunglasses the next after leaving them behind. Food is overpriced so we didn't get anything even though we wanted to try the fondue but $40 for some melted chocolate is too much. This place has no customers and takes all of pinkberry's parking with their 10 blocked off valet only parking spots that are all EMPTY. Pinkberry has been there for 4 years before this overrated fizz place. Fizz left pinkberry with 4 spots that are always full because they stole all the parking. Also, the music is so loud, not only can you not have a conversation inside, but you can hear it across the parking lot inside the 300 unit apartment building that faces it. While, yes, this is a mixed use community, it really should not be so loud that the units facing this bar are forced to listen to crappy pseudo jazz that ends up sounding like the cantina scene from Star Wars. Because that's what everyone enjoying a Friday night at home, trying to watch movies with their friends or spouse wants to hear above their television. You can't drown it out enough. Lest we forget, the Saturday morning coffee and cars meets where people drive their Lamborghini and Porsche and McLaren or Ferrari bright in the morning when people are trying to just sleep in for once, and then you have to listen to Mr. Party Car blaring music while the other autophiles rev their engines. Like seriously, please at least respect the residents across from you. If you showed us even a little courtesy, we might actually patronize your business. We could frequent your business. We could be known customers. But you show those of us in the apartment building across from you so much disrespect by not allowing us to park where we want because our cars aren't luxury vehicles you can show off out front. YOU DO NOT OWN THESE PARKING SPACES. They are NOT allocated to YOU. If you want them so bad, talk to code enforcement or whoever deals with that kind of stuff. Until there are signs that say those spots are reserved for your tacky late 80s themed bar, stop blocking them with the green cones so you can park the cars you deem "appropriate to show off" so as to display your ego and try to make it more hip like, "Wow, look everybody. There are people with money that love to come here." And yet, even on what should be busy Friday and Saturday nights, those blocked off spaces are empty. So what does FIZZ do? They put up big tacky lighted signs that say "OPEN" and "NOW SERVING LUNCH AND DINNER." It's not that people don't know they are there, it's that people don't want to go there. From the decor and the noise to the waitstaff that doesn't want to serve anyone but the owner and his friends, they don't have the reputation or the environment that appeals to the patrons in the West Plano area. read more

Got the small cheese board and shrimp cocktail - both exceeded expectations. Music was a little loud but we were right in front of live saxophonist and could talk to each other easily.
