Rick and Elizabeth are the kind of people you hope to find in the auto repair world -- honest, trustworthy, and genuinely committed to their customers. They never try to upsell or push unnecessary services. If something doesn't need to be done, they'll tell you straight. That kind of integrity is rare and exactly why we've trusted them for everything from routine maintenance to major repairs. Their work is always top-notch and backed by a guarantee. We're moving soon, and honestly, one of the things we dread the most is having to find a new mechanic. Shops like Stan Rollison's are one in a million. Although the vehicle initially appeared to be fixed, it broke down again within a day. When I returned seeking resolution of the recurring issues, I was not provided with professional customer service. Instead, I was subjected to an alarming and hostile confrontation. Brian approached me within inches of my face, repeatedly calling me a "bitch" and a "whore," and making the statement, "I will hunt you down." I consider these comments unacceptable, intimidating, and wholly inconsistent with the standard of conduct customers should expect from any business. I also witnessed another customer, an African American couple, being turned away after raising concerns regarding their own vehicle working for a couple of days then, Not. While their interaction did not escalate to the level of threats and verbal abuse that I experienced, the treatment they received appeared similarly dismissive. I am posting this review to document my experience and to provide an accurate account of what occurred. I hope the business chooses to address both the unresolved repair concerns and the conduct of its employee. My preferred resolution is reimbursement of any defective work as appropriate, and acknowledgment that threatening or abusive behavior toward customers will not be tolerated. This review will be updated as the matter progresses, whether the business elects to resolve it voluntarily or it is resolved through legal channels. Customers deserve competent repairs, professional communication, and a safe environment in which to address concerns about services they have paid for.

As soon as my free warranty services were up from the dealership, I have been taking my car to Caton's Auto Repair. They also go back to look at your records, so if you aren't sure what maintenance services you need at your current mileage, they will ensure everything is done. The employees are always incredibly courteous and knowledgeable. With the thousands of dollars that I'm sure I've saved from not flushing my money away to a dealership that would nickel and dime me, the value of honesty and trust cannot be beaten. Extremely bad work and shoddy parts…read more I had them install new brakes in the summer of 2024. By the winter of 2025, the brakes were wobbling. Apparently the brakes they installed were faulty (the rotors warped), but they still charged be $200 to replace them even though they were still under warranty. That would be fine, I guess, if they had done a good job or used good parts the second time, but it's been 2 months and my brakes are grinding and slipping. Apparently, the pins, the rotors, the pin boots, the pads, and a few other parts are so low quality that they're falling apart already. At this point, I'm not trusting my car to these guys again. I took my car to the mechanic near my work in Fredericksburg and paid him $500 to just do the job correctly. I deeply regret not taking my car to him in the first place, as he would have done a good job, stood by his work, and I wouldn't be out $700 for bad work and bad parts. Do yourself a favor and go to a different mechanic.
