Through the 2 different reasons I've had to go there, they eventually got the issues fixed. It took two trips but because they misdiagnosed an issue the first time, they didn't charge me for labor the 2nd time so I appreciate that. The not-so-good experience.. they didn't call to say to what extent the diagnosis was neither did they call to breakdown the cost for everything. So by the time I got my car back, everything was already done so I'm inclined to pay at that point. Not to mention, the cost of parts was over the average pricing that you can get online so if you're familiar with car parts, I recommend ordering it elsewhere and asking if they're able to use that instead of theirs. I reached out to a number of shops, and R&j was the most responsive and reasonable. I am so glad I did. Jorge was very communicative, and texted me to let me know when he would be arriving. He brought all the tools needed to diagnose the problem. Since it was an easy diagnosis, Jorge did not charge a diagnostic fee, which was very reasonable. Jorge let me order the parts I needed, and even suggested I replace the serpentine belt at no additional cost. He replaced the alternator, battery and removed the aftermarket alarm that was draining the electrical system. He even diagnosed the brake issue that we found once the truck was running. Extremely bad work and shoddy parts…read more I had them install new brakes in the summer of 2024. By the winter of 2025, the brakes were wobbling. Apparently the brakes they installed were faulty (the rotors warped), but they still charged be $200 to replace them even though they were still under warranty. That would be fine, I guess, if they had done a good job or used good parts the second time, but it's been 2 months and my brakes are grinding and slipping. Apparently, the pins, the rotors, the pin boots, the pads, and a few other parts are so low quality that they're falling apart already. At this point, I'm not trusting my car to these guys again. I took my car to the mechanic near my work in Fredericksburg and paid him $500 to just do the job correctly. I deeply regret not taking my car to him in the first place, as he would have done a good job, stood by his work, and I wouldn't be out $700 for bad work and bad parts. Do yourself a favor and go to a different mechanic.

When I picked up the CRV, I noticed the brake feel was good for the first 1/2 mile as I drove away, but by the time I got home, the brake pressure was diminished and I had to pump the brakes to get adequate brake pressure. I called the shop and they said there wasn't anything they could do. I took the CRV to another shop, that quickly identified a bad Master Cylinder (leaking by internally) and fixed it for less than $500.

The next day I called the shop to check on my car and was told my Chris that my tires wouldn't be arriving until Wednesday and that that's been the note in my file since Sunday. I explained that an employee named David called me and told me that my tires would be done on Tuesday and he explained that he couldn't see any reason why David would have called me and told me that. Chris offered a discount as an apology while the phone. I picked up my car when it was ready, and the same employee David came up to my husband and told him I had 2 bent front rims. I found it very interesting that he didn't bring up my bent rims when we were on the phone on Monday and that my rims were suddenly bent after I complained about the employee lying to me over the phone. The discount Chris offered over the phone was also not given at the time of payment. Looking into possible legal options now.
