Steve, owner, is a gentleman (rare, I know) he was informative, friendly and absolutely didn't charge me!!! So OK, that floored me. I am not someone that expects free work! But he got up on the roof, inspected the gutters, took pictures and just cleared away a few feet of dead leaves. You know I will be calling Douglass Restoration in the future. The most frustrating part of the entire situation is when we tried to get ahold of them to have them come out and fix the issue it took over 10 reach outs and several no show meetings on his end and finally a call to our credit card company to even get the guy to show up at our house. They also left several spots unprotected while replacing the roof and we got water marks in multiple spots in our house. The owner just came to patch it with white paint and now we have to pay to have our entire ceiling repainted. Moral of the story. After the install, we had leaks going into my son's room. They said it was due to clogged drains and recommended a costly repair. They refused to keep looking for the cause of the leaks because they were sure I needed to install new drains. I had to hire a leak detection be done and found the fascia board jutting into my bathroom wall pass the stud. I went with this company because Jeffrey said if anything goes wrong, he would make it right. That was not the case. I am now asking for his liability insurance to cover the damages they have refused to pay.

I signed a contract with them 6 months ago for a $24,000 project to replace my roof (which was high to begin with) and handle the removal and reinstallation of my solar panels. They finally delivered the roofing materials 3 months ago blocking my driveway and was put in a place easily stolen. Even with the materials sitting at my property, there's still no sign of work starting, and it's impossible to get any meaningful updates. Now, they've stopped responding entirely when I try to escalate this issue. To make matters worse, my last correspondence with them was them trying to renegotiate the contract for even more money.
