This company is clearly a cut above the rest. Bronson, who came to give us a quote on a metal roof, was super professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of roofing materials. We had no doubt our roof would be in good hands. I can't say enough good about the crews who worked on the roof. All the workers seemed to know exactly what to do and there was never a glitch when it came time for the various permit inspections. These men even worked over the weekend at one point to ensure that the roof would get done in a timely fashion. Bianka, the secretary, was especially helpful to us, answering all our questions and managing the scheduling of each part of the job. This company's reputation is stellar. I hired them to install a new roof, they requested 50% down before anything was done. I paid that, before the metal was brought they asked for 25% more. I paid that with no issues. Once the roof was done they came to me for final payment, I asked for the release of lien from the metal company, the refused. (They didn't pay their bills) The owner yelled at me saying it doesn't work that way and threaten i'm going to call the metal company and tell them your not going to pay. So I then called the metal company explained what happened and ask can you give a release to Marzo, they said not at this time. If they didn't pay for the metal they were going to come after me for the amount owed, they think they can boss people around yell at them and hang up. Finally they paid the metal company so I offer to pay, they still refuse to give me the release of lien from the metal company. I paid them around 13/14k and they couldn't just pay the metal? All this over 2600. I would not recommend this company, if you buy a roof from them learn about the lien laws!!!!!!!! I received three different estimates, and although they were not the lowest bid i decided to go with Marzo because they made me feel the most comfortable with his knowledge and explanation of the work that needed to be done. Paid $1000 for a roof leak repair upon coming home found tar on my fence and gate and a puncture in 1 of my fence panels. I called the office and was told someone would call me back. As the days went on I kept receiving bills for the final which I replied I would be happy to pay once I was contacted about the damage to my fence. After a few weeks I finally got a call and agreed to a discount and I would repair this myself because this was becoming a huge ordeal. The next time it rained my roof was leaking in the same exact place to say the least I was not happy. I called Marzo and someone was over a few days later saw the water stain went on the roof and were gone 5 minutes later, I wasn't sure if a repair was made or if they would be back but either way thought it was resolved. Some time passed and the roof was leaking again in the same spot I called again and the same thing happened someone came over for a few minutes and left again I didn't know if that was it. Some time passed again roof still leaking I called again and was told someone would be over that never happened, I called a few weeks later and was told I would get a call back from the manager, that never happened. My house is located in Port St Lucie, Florida. If I could give a lower score than one star I would. Marzo Roofing does not answer my calls or emails regarding repair of a leak in my roof that Marzo Roofing replaced 6 years ago. I have since spoken with several roofing contractors that have all said that the original work was improperly done and that Marzo Roofing should at the very least repair the roof. The cost of repairing the roof is going to be around $2800.00. This does not include repairing the damage to the ceiling. When Marzo Roofing first replaced my roof, they worked on a day that was raining and it resulted in rain water pouring into my attic and through a light fixture opening in my ceiling. This left stains on and water damage to the ceiling. Also, the truck that delivered the roofing material tore up my driveway. Marzo Roofing's solution to these two problems was to use an off color spray paint on the ceiling and a cheap patch job on the driveway that has since broken away. She asked me to leave a review since I'm more tech savvy than she but I have to agree that the company and all the employees were outstanding. Jonathen came out to give us an estimate and he took his time to talk to my mother about all her options and costs involved. His attentiveness to her during the appointment plus her phone call with a few follow up questions made my mother choose Marzo Roofing. There was constant communication about the progress on permits and deliveries and start date. My mother was one of four people I know who needed a new roof this year and she by far had the best experience out everyone. Everything went as projected and the roof was done within the time frame we needed. I am grateful to all the employees who were involved and were polite and efficient as they worked on my mother's roof. Although a little bit higher he stood by his price quote, unlike others companies that left their contracts open-ended which meant they could possibly skyrocket once they started the job. Gary Marzo and his crew were prompt, professional, courteous, and thorough. They did exactly what they said they would do, NO SURPRISES. If you want to hire a roofing company that stands behind their work, DON'T hire Gary Marzo, Inc. We had a leak in the roof over our garage. We got a couple of estimates and Marzo's was very reasonable and they seemed to know their stuff regarding what needed to be done. We hired them and they did the work in a reasonable amount of time. After the next heavy rain, it was apparent that there was still a leak in the same area. After 4 months of trying to get them back to look at the problem, they still haven't done so, and all I ever got from the office was excuses why they hadn't been able to do it. And our house is only about 1 mile from their office. We are definitely disappointed. We'll now have to hire someone else, increasing the total cost of the repairs significantly.
