The service offered by Fixa NYC is second to none - it's better than the guys IKEA recommend and I talk from experience! After a bit of a bad experience with IKEA kitchen cabinet installation in my old home, I decided to try and find another company that could offer a better experience. Very fast in responding to my email, which was a great help as it allowed me to quickly organise the date for the installation and take some time off from work to get everything done. Sara explained everything during our emailing so I knew exactly what to expect from company in terms of cost, time frame, and info he needed. They arrived on time and didn't take long to get things started. Everyone knowing exactly what they needed to do to make sure the job was finished on time, which they managed to do with some time to spare! The quality of the job was fantastic. Everything looked as good as it did in IKEA, and I have yet to notice any sort of poor work in my kitchen cabinets. It turns out I really didn't need to take much time off! The guys had everything done on schedule, and they were so nice and friendly that I would have been more than comfortable leaving my house to run some errands while they were there! I cannot say enough good things about the work that Fixa completed in my kitchen. They done everything as expected, on time, and were just very nice throughout the entire process, which is the polar opposite of the last time I got my kitchen cabinets from IKEA installed. Alexander was wonderful! I was revamping an entire bedroom so I figured it would be several days before they could send someone over. Alexander was here the next day! The quote I was given over email ended up being the actual price; I absolutely love that the service didn't magically cost more overnight. It was a reasonable price, especially for how soon they were able to schedule me in. It's cool that they allow texting to set up the appointment. It's much easier and all the more convenient. Alex had no issues assembling anything and he helped me arrange my room to my liking. He even stuck the cork board onto the wall, which went from the midwall range all the way to the ceiling. He moved and set everything up with care. He was professional and nice, which made the whole thing really comfortable. They also provided all the paperwork for insurance that my building needed on a short notice, which was a worry of mine because my building is really strict. Before Alex showed up, I had noticed other reviews mentioned lateness but he was right on time, AKA 10 minutes early. 10/10 I'll definitely use these guys again! read more

Great experience! The gentleman who assembled my dresser and closet did a fantastic job. Timely services for a cheap price, especially in NYC. He called me two hours prior to our appointment to let me know he may be a few minutes late (commuting during rush hour in NY is nearly impossible and he was at another client's app.) but he showed up right on time! I love the professionalism, as I've worked in food services for years and a simple phone call can change everything. Before he got to work, he let me know there was a scratch on my dresser. I told him to go ahead since it wasn't that noticable, but I love that he made me aware--I trust this company with doing the job right and making sure you're happy with their services. He was quick otherwise and asked me on my preference as to where I wanted the shelves in the closet to go. He also erased the pencil markings he made in the closet (or just drilled really accurately, either way I'm happy). Highly satisfied with Fixa Assembly, not so happy about Ikea itself! My only regret was not calling sooner! My husband and I had been planning on putting everything together for the past few weeks, but life can get crazy busy. I realised we needed to call someone or face another week of staring at these ridiculously heavy boxes. The guy arrived right on time and was professional and sweet. He got started and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. The boxes were no match for him, and neither was the millions of pieces that Ikea furniture is infamous for. He was done before the allotted time was over and even cleaned up the boxes and waste that was leftover. My biggest worry was that this was going to cost an arm and a leg, but thankfully I still have both! It was honestly less than expected, but definitely worth every penny. They were on time, and worked quickly and efficiently putting together a dozen items, which really showcased that they are professionals. I was worried they might run late, but that turned out to be a pointless fear. Not a single scratch was made on my newly assembled ikea furniture or floor, which was one of my concerns beforehand. They handled everything with care, like it was their own furniture. Plus, they also had manners (I didn't hear them curse or yell), which makes them a great choice for a family environment. I was happy that these guys delivered to Brooklyn. I just moved and didn't want to go through the hassle of going to the huge Ikea store and having to drag all the items to my new home. I live alone, and unless you have someone helping you, this process can be a nightmare. This company helped me out a lot by getting the furniture from the store and setting it up in my new place. They even carry extra parts in case the store forgets to put them in the box. Now that's great service! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Fixa. I'm a financial advisor and work really late hours, so I have absolutely no time to go to Ikea and pick up items and then assemble them. Even if I did, I am way too tired at the end of a long day. Anyone who has shopped at Ikea knows you need a lot of energy and attention to assemble the furniture.
