We contacted Marko based on his excellent yelp reviews here and were very happy we went with his services. We had just bought a new home and wanted to get the kitchen re-done right away. This was our first home and first renovation experience, but Marko was very patient and helpful all along the way. The scope of work was: - Replace kitchen cabinets - New farmhouse sink - New backsplash - Quartz countertops with new extension - New dishwasher install - New ventilation hood install - New pendant light install On the first day, Marko closed off the kitchen area with a plastic sheet and put some sort of protective material on the tile floor to ensure no damage was done during the project. Had a wonderful experience with Marko's team! I emailed a handful of furniture assembly companies after IKEA couldn't offer me assembly services with my next-day delivery. I sent these emails after business hours, yet Marko got back to me with a quote by 10pm. The price was very reasonable (less than a competitor's quote, and much less than the IKEA assembly services). The next day, IKEA took their time delivering the furniture, but Marko showed up within 3 hours of delivery. Much More Than 5 Stars! Other reviewers have said they wish they could give more than 5 stars for brothers Marko and Darko (and other family) and they are absolutely right. We had a very big job for them consisting of remodeling a 35 year-old crumbling kitchen and putting up a new living room ceiling and painting both rooms. Marko and Darko are licensed IKEA installers and when we told them we were thinking of doing an IKEA kitchen, they said they would like to come out and look over the kitchen before we went to IKEA. They came at the exact time they said they would, took some notes and that very night, had an IKEA design emailed to us and inputted into the IKEA computer system with a project number. They also had a quote for me the next day for the whole job and the quote was so reasonable, we couldn't wait for them to start. Put away all your fears of disappearing contractors, jobs not finished, and "found" problems that may cost you thousands extra. Not only did they not gripe about last minute changes, they also recommended design ideas that they didn't add to their bill either. Plus, if we had questions, we could text or call and they would reply quickly. The end result? Our once poorly lit, decaying kitchen now has gleaming white cabinets expertly placed and hung, dimmable LED recessed lights in the ceiling now light up the room like a suntan booth and under-cabinet lighting makes food prep a breeze. The new backsplash was installed to perfection after they took the time to replace the drywall after removing the old backsplash. The fading Formica countertops with drop-in sink were replaced with granite countertops and an under-mount sink (courtesy of Atlantis Granite that coordinate with We Assemble It). The former 1970s kitchen is now modernized for year 2025 and beyond. The living room had a popcorn (stucco) ceiling that was damaged from water leakage from upstairs. This room was also poorly lit. Marko and his father knocked down the ceiling and put in a new ceiling that is beautifully painted white and seamless, and he installed enough recessed LED lights so there's no dark spots to be found in that room anywhere. Their painting of both rooms was also efficient and the results were pleasing to the eye. We can go on and on about how happy we are with their work. To sum up, we would definitely hire them again, no question. Marko was the main worker on this particular job and we loved his sense of humor and he was a pleasure to have around the house while he worked. It did not take long before we considered them as friends doing a job for us and not hired contractors. Marko installed four Ikea units for us. We live in center city and he was very annoyed that he had to keep putting money in the meter for his truck. He refused to install the lighting in the units and kept finding excuses of why he couldn't do it. As time went on he failed to install the last unit and said he'd come back another time when he was in the city, but charged us full price anyway. Several months later two units of considerable weight and height had to be reinstalled because they tore away from the wall. The units had been anchored with 1 1/2" screws into small plastic anchors into drywall. At the time when I opened a mirrored unit door, the whole full unit slowly pulled out of the wall and started coming toward me. Fortunately I was able to hold its weight with the help of a nearby chair and call for help on my cell phone. Had my wife or small dog been home during this event there could have been serious injury or worse. During the re-installation we discovered that another large unit was ready to fall also.
