The wire cable was also all tangled up.....I placed a few calls and everyone claimed to be busy and stated they could schedule a repair first thing tomorrow morning. I continued calling around using Google and every service was answered by a call center in California, smh. I called Davis Door Service and there was no answer...... So, I went to Youtube and figured I could fix it myself but I had a few stumbling blocks. 1) it was too cold and windy outside to be repairing a garage and 2) I needed help getting the little wheely thing back on track. Otherwise I could have mastered it, lol. As I was going back into the house, Davis Door Service called me and triaged the situation. He asked me my location, said he could send a tech over shortly and quoted me a price. The tech, (Felipe I think) was very nice and explained everything beforehand. He was able to complete the job quickly and explained the warranty. My garage door is running smoothly like it was previously. I'm very happy and appreciative that I found this company in my time of need.

Upon his arrival we realized it wasn't even a garage door issue, rather a tripped breaker. While he was on property he assisted me with my swimming pool and repaired the gate/door which wasn't closing properly! Reasonable pricing as well. I was surprised it didn't cost twice as much given the timing and circumstances. I will definitely call him again with my garage door needs. Excellent service.

I have been using Independent Overhead Doors for all my investment properties for the last 25…read moreyears. Last week I called on a Monday and scheduled an appointment on Thursday. I had to take a day off work to meet someone to fix my garage door. Shane met me and after looking at the garage door opener, took out his phone and started to show me openers at Home Depot. He told me I could go buy an opener and then call in again and schedule someone to install it. I was a little confused since previously, the person that was sent out had equipment and was ready to sell me an opener and install it. After a bit more discussion, I asked if IOD had stopped selling openers. Shane then got mad and told me he had 5 other jobs that day and would have to come back later. So I asked again if he could do the job or not, and he agreed to do it but was furious. The good thing about an angry installer is he got it done in 30 minutes. When I checked the opener, there were no lights when it closed. Shane told me openers don't come with bulbs. I'd have to put them in myself. So now, this 70 year old woman has to climb a ladder and install the bulbs. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. I called Doug after the installer left and told him I was very disappointed and won't be using his company again. Doug said, "Then why are you calling me?" This company is closed and only going through the motions of pretending to offer any services to customers anymore. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and call someone else.
