We asked about installing such an ignition switch. They came out, looked at the set up we have and told us that they couldn't install such a switch without installing a whole new system. They did however turn off the pilot light and advise us to get a service call in the fall to clean and service the unit and turn the pilot back on. It was disappointing, but they were kind enough to show us how to manage our new (to us) fireplace.

While I was standing outside my car talking to a friend, one of their workers came from behind the car next to mine and blew grass clippings directly into our faces, into my open car, and all over my dashboard, floor, door panels, clothes, shoes, and hair. We were yelling and waving our hands to get his attention, but he didn't stop right away. When he finally saw us, he just turned around and walked off -- no apology, no acknowledgment. I called the McDonald's right away and was given the landscaping company's contact info. I spoke to a woman who said she'd pass the message to a supervisor, but no one ever followed up. Totally unprofessional behavior and even worse customer service. If you care about courtesy and respect, I wouldn't recommend this company for any kind of work.

When asked for an alternative that does not add such high additional fees on top of rent the only alternative was to take off of work, drive to their office and hand deliver a money order which also costs money (money order fees, gas, time lost at the job that pays the rent). Many people do not have checkbooks anymore because banks charge for them and checks are inconvenient to use. The mail is unreliable. I pointed out multiple times that there are plenty of other payment platforms that would not charge such exorbitant fees but apparently they don't mind passing this on to their tenants.
