Sam and his team were terrific from start to finish. We needed a small rebuild job after mold remediation in my daughter's room, and they handled everything -- insulation, drywall, patching, and painting -- with incredible speed and efficiency. They were friendly, communicative, and professional throughout the process. Sam's bid was accurate and fair, and the work was completed exactly within the timeframe he estimated at the start. It's rare to find a team that delivers such high-quality work with zero hassle. I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

We hired Sam and his team to relocate some built in bookcases for us and help restore our side room to its original condition after some water damage. They did a fantastic job and we quickly found more projects for them. To date they have remodeled our kitchen, installing beautiful white oak custom cabinetry and banquette seating with storage. They replaced the concrete in our driveway and side entry steps and they built us a perfect hallway linen closet. Sam is easy to communicate with, has a great design eye, and really cares about the little details. His team is efficient and delivers high quality of work. They were so kind to us and our family which means a lot when someone is in your home for extended periods of time. We would use them time and time again! read more

Sam was very responsive, punctual, supportive and kind. Best contractor interaction I have had in years... His quote was very reasonable too, and the work was completed on time and was well done. I will definitely contact him again in the future. read more

This review is way overdue but I am a bit of a procrastinator! We hired Sam and his team to help us tackle our kitchen remodel. Sam is super responsive and always available to answer any questions or concerns. His team was always punctual, respectful, and checked in with us during the whole process. I had a lot of anxiety making sure I found a contractor I could trust and definitely hope to work with the Fix it Farmer team on the rest of my home renovation projects! I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Amazing service, have used for years and highly recommend! On time, professional and overall great.

Came and handled the rebuild after we'd done a mold remediation. Amazing work! We had to do a lot of drywall patching and replacement, but you can't see the seams at all. Everything just looks clean and new. Sam is great. Very good communication through the process. No surprise fees or anything crazy. Showed up on time. Finished on time. Delivered what was agreed upon. read more

Sam is crazy efficient and really good at what he does! When I asked my husband last week if he thought Sam could mount a pretty heavy mirror, he said "I'm pretty sure he can do anything!" He just completed 6 mounting and fixing tasks for us in under an hour. Everything is perfectly spaced and level. I would highly recommend! read more

Sam and his crew recently replaced the fence behind my mom's house in West LA near Culver City. Working with Sam was a pleasure every single step of the way. He responds quickly and thoroughly and even though I don't speak "construction," he's respected every question or concern and I never felt judged for a moment. Craftsmanship and professionalism are top notch and his prices are reasonable and fair. Fix-It-Farmer is now my go-to resource. In fact, I've got him bidding another job today! read more

I'm pretty much convinced that Sam can fix/set up/assemble anything! We had a whole host of projects that needed to be done, from small to large. Sam was able to do it all... from a super tricky main closet with lots of pieces, to putting on 40-something cabinet and drawer handles with impeccable accuracy, to hanging curtain rods! He was also arrived ON TIME each day (even a bit early) which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Fix-it Farmer to anyone looking to complete a wide variety of jobs. Thanks Sam! read more

Sam and his team built back our cabinets and put down flooring to match the rest of our house after a water leak. His team was professional, communicative and did a great job. Sam even came back months later for a touchup. Great guy, and a great service. Highly recommend his team for any home projects. read more

Farmer was incredible! Responsive, quick, thorough and practiced Covid safe measures. Commutation was easy and scheduling was quick. Honestly what more can you ask for. Had Farmer help with mounting Dyson charger and hiding a cable running through the living room. I am so so pleased with the work done and would absolutely recommend to anyone and call again with other projects! read more

We have used Farmer for work around our house now several times while we were getting our place ready to rent. Examples of work Farmer has done for us: patched and repainted walls, fixed wooden drawers and cabinet doors, changed door locks etc.... Farmer is our go to for any work that needs to be done for our tenants now and I know my tenants and my home are being taken care of. I'm glad they have expanded the team as the only downside was that Farmer was super busy and had limited availability. Highly recommend Fix it Farmer. read more

Sam and his team were highly recommended by other homeowners in my building. He is very professional and quick to respond via email and text. We set up a walk through as he took detailed notes and videos or our "fix-it items." He and his team returned and were able to complete the various items, including a microwave install, bathroom caulking, hanging custom blinds, and even cabinet and door repairs. He even gave me some tips of quick repairs I could complete myself. He is very friendly, professional and I would recommend him to others. Very happy to have found an awesome handyman. Thanks again Sam and your team! read more

After having some mold remediation done, I needed help with the drywall build back quickly. Sam and the team at Fix it Farmer were great and the quality of their work surpassed my expectations. The team was prompt, efficient, and took great care of my space. Would absolutely recommend and use them again. read more

We love working with Sam. He is always flexible to help us with small and large jobs at the house. He's handled huge shelves, stucco around our electrical box outside, hung big mirrors, and consulted us on fencing around the house. The shelves were a fun project - we collaborated on the design and steps to get it done, he took it from there and custom built them. Good communication, does what he says. No matter what we are doing, we always talk to Sam first. read more

I recently contacted Fix-it Farmer to help with a broken garbage disposal and a leaking bathtub faucet. Sam got back to me right away with a few questions and was then able to take care of everything quickly and efficiently. I was so impressed! Communication was easy and Sam practiced Covid safety measures. I have already contacted him to take care of a few bigger projects in my home. So glad to have found a great handyman! read more

Sam recently replaced our bathroom door. I'd always hated the opaque glass and wanted a solid one. He offered a couple of options and I went with what he recommended (replacing the door completely). His team was polite, prompt, neat and efficient and his communication about the project was also great. I'm glad to have a handyman I can rely on and will be reaching out to him again soon on a couple of other projects! read more

What a breath of fresh air, to work with Farmer and Sara! When was the last time you felt at ease with someone working in your home? Or knew instinctively that they were honest (and had it borne out in practice)? Read on -- We moved into a new home and needed help with both simple and complex tasks, including baby proofing large furniture items, installing a curtain rod, mounting a heavy television rack and shelving component, and constructing a custom 6' x 7' x 3' IKEA closet. It was a pleasure to have Sara in our home, taking all necessary COVID-19 precautions, working diligently, and asking thoughtful questions about placement and design. Sara was prompt, professional, friendly, and her work was terrific. If a job took longer than estimated due to the technical nature of what was involved, Farmer was willing to discuss flat rates rather than hourly fees, and was just refreshingly honest and fair. Great experience, and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again! read more

Sam is a great resource for anyone who needs things done! He's helped us with a few projects now, ranging from replacing some rotten wood on our garage (and dealing with surprise wasps), locating and eliminating a crack that some crickets were going through, and some door repairs. Highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Sam. On time, reasonably priced, works super hard and has great ideas. I've had several little projects I wanted done in my apartment and he always was honest and upfront about if it would work or not and perhaps come up with a work around to get the best result possible. From building my patio furniture to putting up shelves and hanging frames and other memorabilia, he is truly a perfectionist and I appreciate the worth ethic. I don't doubt his team is as wonderful as Sam. read more

Sam is incredible! I have used him for a few years and he has always done an excellent job with anything I have asked for. Sam has done small jobs like hanging photos or mirrors or installing baby proofing things and also recently completed a huge task of designing an accent wall for my baby's room. Very professional, covid safe and so great to work with! So thankful to have Sam whenever we need anything done. read more

We just purchased our first home and needed to quickly do some work before we moved in. The walls had a thick and dated texture that needed to come off and the whole house needed new doors and to be painted. Sam and his team were super efficient and detail oriented. Working with him was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging process! read more

Amazing work ethic and great detail. I got a large garden box for my wife for our anniversary this year and she loved it. Farmer delivered and helped me carry it to my backyard, offered a complete starter kit with dirt and seeds, and even came back to fix a very minor issue that we didn't even notice until we sent a picture to him showing him how happy and proud we were of our setup. What a wonderful person to work with! My wife and I are very happy customers and will be back for more! read more

Farmer was such a pleasure to work with from the very start. Super responsive to every text, so friendly, completely understood my vision and was always honest about the options. Sam just completed another awesome project on my new home! His attention to detail is fantastic and I know that the work will always be done to perfection. Highly recommend for all house needs! read more

Great experience as usual! Sam was incredibly responsive & was so communicative throughout the process. Dre showed up prepared and early, which was awesome and never happens with most repair companies! She provided options for the closet repair and let me decide which one I preferred. She knew all the repair work to be done (broken closet, loose faucets, toilet running, clogged shower), had the necessary supplies, was fully COVID safe - wore a mask the whole time, efficient, kind & thoughtful. She updated me on progress as she went and left the place clean. Sam followed up immediately to confirm I was happy with the work. I'm continually impressed by this company. Absolutely would recommend! read more

I agree with the review that said the Farmer crew cleaned up after themselves! What a pleasant surprise! I had a list of a bunch of little things that needed fixing but also a giant double-hung window that needed new ropes. They did everything quickly and cleverly, and even fixed broken things they noticed that weren't on my list. I highly recommend. read more

I came across Sam's business through my FB's mom group, and I wish I had nice things to say, but my experience with him has been disappointing. We were quoted an amount, but two days prior to work commencing, I texted him to confirm the total before I paid him a 50% deposit. The price went up and he never bothered to tell us. When I brought it to his attention, he said it's because one of his cost went up and that was the reason. I can understand that, but I can't understand why he didn't say anything until I pressed him about the price difference, almost as if he thought we wouldn't notice. A day later, he texted me to tell us his assistant Dre tested positive for covid and that we need to push the work back 2-3 weeks until they're both cleared with two negative test results. He said he will give us an update at that time. No problem, we will wait. 3.5 weeks goes by, not a word from sam. I texted him and he said they're cleared but that we need to schedule work for 2.5 weeks out. I asked if he had any availability sooner and he completely ghosts me. Not a word back from him since. read more

Farmer and Francisco were amazing to work with! We wanted to raise our fence and they did it in 2 days time. It matches perfectly to the existing fence and they were on time everyday & got the work done when they said they would.
