I came across Sam's business through my FB's mom group, and I wish I had nice things to say, but my experience with him has been disappointing. We were quoted an amount, but two days prior to work commencing, I texted him to confirm the total before I paid him a 50% deposit. The price went up and he never bothered to tell us. When I brought it to his attention, he said it's because one of his cost went up and that was the reason. I can understand that, but I can't understand why he didn't say anything until I pressed him about the price difference, almost as if he thought we wouldn't notice. A day later, he texted me to tell us his assistant Dre tested positive for covid and that we need to push the work back 2-3 weeks until they're both cleared with two negative test results. He said he will give us an update at that time. No problem, we will wait. 3.5 weeks goes by, not a word from sam. I texted him and he said they're cleared but that we need to schedule work for 2.5 weeks out. I asked if he had any availability sooner and he completely ghosts me.
