I had been quoted a price of $250. The higher price was because I requested the use of OEM parts. The gentleman at the shop took it and was giving it a thorough inspection. He asked me what I had been quoted and then said lI think I'm going to save you some money. He peeled of the glass protective cover. the screen wasn't broken, it was the protective cover! He put on a new one and charged me $5.00. A dishonest business could have easily told me to come back in an hour and charged me the original quoted price. I would have been none the wiser. Thank you Longhorn.

Atmosphere: Nothing flashy--just functional, which is exactly what you want when your laptop is on the fritz. Service: Friendly, efficient, and communicative. They're good about quoting before work starts and answering questions clearly (even after hours in some cases), and they'll tell you what can be done same-day vs. what needs parts. I spoke mostly with Patrick and he was very cordial and to the point. These guys know what they are doing, since most of them are former Apple specialists. Notes/Tips: Call ahead or request a quote online if you're on a tight schedule. Bring your charger if the issue seems power-related--it helps them test faster. (General best practice.) Definitely my top recommended for any Apple based repairs needed

That was not a problem but when my daughter went to put on her phone case, the top and bottom edges immediately cracked all along the edge. She took the case off and put it back on and it got worse. Then the whole screen was not responding to touch anymore. This was just three weeks after the initial fix. We took it back and they said they wouldn't honor the warranty because we didn't buy the case there (which they never mentioned when we got the fix). They offered to "fix" it again for $80. No thanks! It would have been the same poor quality parts.

Obviously being suddenly locked out of your phone with all the calendar reminders and being unable to use your phone as an actual phone stinks. I called at 5pm on a Friday evening and they so happened to have an S10e display and said if I got there by 5:30 they would have it done before closing at 7pm. Sure enough that is how it went. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was worth the cost to repair a still very good phone and not lose everything. We were very thankful for Austin Cell and while I hope to not be back, if another phone breaks I will.
