I ran by Columbia river and suddenly got the engine light on. First time in my life, I got panic. My wife found fix auto is just near by, so we drove there to see if we can find any help. I was sort of disappointed when I found it's just a body shop, but Jimmy didn't hesitate to help with the engine scanner. He found out the warning that made me relax quite a lot. I took my car into fix auto in January of 2023 with some body damage, headlight and bumper, the car was fully drivable. I had asked before hand how long it takes to fix after they receive the parts, the estimate they gave me was 5-7 business days. That was completely acceptable, even if it has taken double that time. So when I got the call that they had my parts in, I took it there immediately. They disassembled the car and I still don't have an eta on when it'll be done, it is now almost May. This has not been a professional experience with this company, and in good conscience I cannot recommend giving them your business. read more

Fix auto went above and beyond to fix my car when I was stranded in The Dalles. I drive a volkswagen and there was nowhere to get parts except for in Portland. The amazing workers at Fix Auto drove to and from Portland that same day to get the parts. In addition, it was a Friday and they stayed after 5 o'clock to make sure that we could get back on the road. I got in an accident and ended up doing some serious body damage to one side of my car. Geico recommend that I used Fix Auto in the Dalles and I couldn't be happier with their work! I don't even normally write reviews, but I was so happy with how everything turned out that I had to share. Not only is the repair job spot on, but they even buffed out scratches and made my car look like brand new. They were very clear about the timeline, and the estimated costs were right on. Super simple to deal with them and my insurance company. I would definitely recommend this body shop to anyone looking to get some work done! I just had my car fixed for the second time by Fix in The Dalles. I've been very pleased with both experiences. I always get at least 3 bids and Fix has been low if not lowest. I drive through Hood River to get to the Dalles, and have found them significantly cheaper than the shops in Hood River, well worth the extra 20 miles. A couple things I especially appreciate in their philosophy is a willingness to fix things that are fixable, rather than replace by default. I also appreciate their willingness to offer money saving options to a full showroom quality (which they do very well) repair. read more

We sent our Chevy Pick up there it was suppose to take about 20 days to fix it ended up taking almost two months to fix. It wasn't that it took longer that mad us so upset it was at the end when they tried to tell us they told us before they started working on our truck that they didn't fix lifted trucks, if we would have known that we would have went somewhere else, after them having it for over 20days we told them they could take it to a place that fixes that since they didn't tell us that in the beginning. Then we got it back after them having it for almost two months and it still wasn't fixed right, so they came and got it and before going up to pick it up they called at 3pm to say they forgot to take our deductible out ( no big deal) so before we could get it we needed to bring 500.00 CASH because they didn't TRUST our check ! Because they thought we would cancel payment, because when they called my husband for a review he was honest with them and said we were not happy. I have never had such horrible customer service. They might do good body work, but the customer service is horrible I would encourage people to go some place else. read more

THESE FOLKS ARE THE WORST... not done on time. not done right. doors and hood left open my car was a filthy mess..it took them eight weeks after I was told two..it wasn't returned to me right..I asked that it be fixed..paint did not match. A few dents/dings around the car that where not there before..and a week after they worked on it the door wouldn't open.they had not put it back together with the right parts.i took it apart myself..I took it back they told me they would have to charge me for the repairs..ok it needs fixed now?.so I reluctantly left it there..they said next day..a week goes by and it still isn't fixed..hasn't even been worked on..cars in open lot and extremely dirty.so I got my car back dirty again after that week with nothing done in any way....these guys are the very worst.!!!DO NOT TAKE A VEHICLE HERE!!!!.. My car was damaged by an encounter with a deer the weekend before Thanksgiving, it is not Jan. 10 and Fix Auto says we are looking at another week before it is repaired. They have had my car for 6 weeks and they just now noticed that it needs a new headlight, at least that was the excuse given. Their first excuse sounded like they were working on other cars that came after mine had been there already. At this time I am very frustruated with their lack of service and not very believable excuses. I will comment more when my car is finished and returned to me. read more
