Update. First repair went fine good dent pull and paint. Went in for second repair for a different collision, brought vehicle in had a rental for about two weeks. Picked up my car, everything looked fine the bumper was lined up and flush, paint looked great. Drove is 2 days later, I noticed my day time running light on pass side was also off, me being a mechanic I went in to check why my headlight was inop. Found issue in less than 2 minutes, (+) cable from headlight disconnected. Then I looked bit closer and realized my headlight support panel is broken, I was like wtf. You cannot miss this part being broken, you mount the fender to this panel. At this point I rules the situation is just straight negligence, I understand vehicle is 01 but it's not rocket science. So I took it upon myself to check everything else, the front fog lights were not mounted flush like they were before. The plastic trim I supposed to be held on by two screws only one on both sides were installed., then I got curious how they "repaired" the bumper when I told them it's not repairable anymore. The bumper ear where a riveted bumper bracket goes can't be installed because it's broken, I tried explaining this to them, nonetheless I trusted them since the first time repairs were good. Anyways the bumper was held on by a damn self tapper, no wonder it was sagging and not flush. A new bumper should have been orders like I said initially, I have gone to the shop to meditate the issue twice. I'm greeted by short Asian guy I let him know I need warranty repairs, he tells me they need to order a bracket. They need to call ford and find the correct part needed... I work at ford 1/4 down the street. My job deals with fix auto often, I asked parts manager if anyone from fix auto called no one has reached out to this day. I waited about 2 weeks they said they would call me and they didn't, I returned again and expressed how at this point I'm not satisfied and want repairs done correctly. I was met with the same Asian guy, he also brought out the technician who repaired it. I showed them once again the issues, they took pictures and told me the same thing they did last time. So I questioned the technician how would you install the bracket when the ear is broken on the bumper, idk if he didn't speak English but I didn't understand a single word. When they told me they were having trouble finding this bracket I told them I found it online in 5 minutes, they asked me to send the part numbers to fix auto email. So now they want me to go out of my way to find something? Remind me if I'm wrong but they're body repair specialists. I found a bumper replacement, the brackets, and the headlight panel support online in 10 minutes on LMR.com all parts in stock. Had I known this would be such a headache, I would've taken the 3k and bought all that for 1200$. Again not sure how they cut corners, when I quote collision repairs at my job I request all parts, insurance companies cannot say no with good reasoning. Instead I took the car home with a missing oem bumper bracket, with a self tapping screw and a replacement repair :D read more

My yoga instructors have this saying: CHOOSE NOT TO REACT. Pshhhhh. Yeah. I have a hell of a hard time with that, especially when there's insanity around me. Earlier this month I was involved in a car accident. Now, you know car accidents are a b*tch! I was happy as a clam driving home from an intense yoga practice one Saturday morning. As I was going up on a ramp in our car garage, I noticed a car on his way down the ramp (from the garage's mirror). There was NO WAY two cars were going to fit on that narrow ramp. I stopped. The other driver did not stop. I honked. The other driver kept going. Head-on collision occurred. Fortunately, the airbags didn't inflate so the impact wasn't too severe. It was a real challenge not to react when the passenger in the other car said, "Well, it's really not any one's fault." Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That impact must have extremely damaged her brain. After I gave her a look of disbelief, I just took a loooooong deep breath. Eventually, Geico settled all the nonsense, and the other party ended up paying for all the repairs and my rental car fees. On their website I chose Fix Auto to have my car repaired since it was the closest to my place and they have Enterprise on site. I went in, two guys inspected my car (one guy from Geico, the other from Fix Auto), and I was informed they had to order some part or parts. After six days, I was called to say my car was ready to be picked up. My car was clean inside and out. All the dents from the car accident were gone and I was very happy. I am grateful how this all turned out. There's a saying: "You can't calm the storm so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass." Unfortunately, this Norovirus catastrophe is still around. All I can do, though, is to stay cool so I can have a peace of mind. Oh and obsessively wash my hands as frequently as possible. read more

During the 3 months that our car was at their business, we've called on multiple occasions asking for updates on their progress. OK, some back story first: My car's driver's side panel got backed into while vacationing out in the Mojave; driver and I exchanged info; I should be getting a call from his insurance. Finally get a hold of his insurance, who gave me a list of auto repair shops near San Jose, and Fix Auto SJ was the most convenient one for me. So! Onto the good stuff: 1. Everyone at this shop is so freaking courteous. *Opens door for you* "Would you like some coffee or tea while you wait?" It's a nice change compared to a lot of businesses where the workers look and act like they hate their jobs. 2. 3 words: TEXT MESSAGE ALERTS! These were awesome and kept me in the loop while my car was being worked on. It also probably helps them from getting calls from people about the status of their cars. 3. 3 more words: PHONE CALL NOTIFICATIONS! Fix Auto not only did the whole texting thing, but they would also call you to give you current statuses about your car. V grateful for that. 4. Since they had to order a part for the car, I was given a rental car for the week from Enterprise. I brought my Lexus in to get the back bumper replaced after getting hit but somehow they destroyed my car battery and fried my stereo system. Also I don't know how but they completely disregarded my car's wiring and now my windows can't be lowered. In addition, they leftr trash in my trunk. My car was in better condition going in then out. As for the bumper replacement, there is still a misalignment. As for their time management, they were overdue with my car by 2 weeks and when they said it was finished, they failed to tell me that my car wouldn't start. I had to take my 2016 Honda HRV to get repair work from an accident that damaged the entire driver side of my car. The car was there for about a month and on the first time when I went to pick it up the paint on my door wasn't correct. So, I came back a few days later only to have to bring the car back because the paint still wasn't right. I pick it up again a few days later only to have to bring it back again because the paint still wasn't right. I was told it would be done in one day, but I soon find out it will take two days. Now at this point Its been a little of a month of my car getting fixed and I don't have a rental anymore, so I had to spend about $50 to Uber around because I maxed out on my rental coverage on my insurance. I am pretty pissed because this has been 3 times and has wasted a bunch of my time for something that should of been right the first time. I am extremely disappointed. UPDATE: So, there were other things wrong with my car that I found a few months later. I had to take my car to another shop in order to get it fixed correctly. Stay away from these scammers. We just filed a case with BBB and here is our story. We decided to pay from our pocket and not go through insurance. TL;DR: - (We have all the paperwork to back every bit of this) - Scammed us into paying for Lexus OEM parts, made us pay more than the quoted price. - Car is still NOT fixed because they donot have experience working on Lexus RX350(their words). - were basically told the mess they created is upto us to get it fixed by paying more - They put broken mismatched parts. - Their offer to fix this mess? Take out the parts and refund only for the parts. EDIT 1 (reply to the guy's reply) -- Now, you have resorted to slander. Writing an honest review is a slander? Well exhibit A proves you really are a scammer. -- BBA/BBB Yeah we do have a case with BBB. Your 'negotiation' email with an ultimatum was, we will take the junk we put in, but charge you still. No, thanks, you have done enough damage. -- 2 options YOU gave 2 options, we didnt. YOU should suggest parts that you know will work. Blaming US for the part YOU suggested us and blaming for the consequences is not right in any universe. -- Lexus followup YOU are supposed to repair the car. That was the deal, infact this is true for all your customers. You dont 'fix' and leave it up to the customer to get the real fixes after you mess up the cars -- 2 prior repairs with insurance. I dare you to pull this scam with cars repaired with insurance. I bet their lawyers will make sure you shut down pronto. -- Being upset and 'colorful' language Ofcourse, no sane person wouldnt lose their with the scam you are pulling off. 'Colorful' language was about your work and that still describes your work. How do we know? Well the car is still broken!!! --------- Full story: Got an estimate to get our car fixed, it need repairs to the front bumper and right headlamp. Quote was given for Lexus OEM parts for $2200. Dropped off the car, wife gets a call about the "wrong" quote they gave us. Were told to pay $1000'ish more for OEM headlamp. We asked them to put a compatible non OEM part. They said they could put a non OEM headlamp for the same quoted price of $2200. Wife gets another call about replacing another internal part (optional replacement), we passed on that because we had decided to sell the car after getting it fixed. Went to pick up the car, made us wait 1.5 to 2hrs. The total comes to $2800'ish instead of $2200. Reason? They "forgot" to add paint and labor. As soon as we get in the car that was claimed to have been fixed, the AFS (related to headlamp) comes up. Fix auto doesnt have a clue as to what is wrong. They tell us to leave the car while they fix it. No call that day. They call us the following Monday and tell us to pay $400 more because the light needs to be diagnosed and reset by a Lexus dealer. This was never mentioned anytime prior to this. We were absolutely livid by this time. We decided to take it to the dealer ourselves but wanted a written letter from them saying -- if Lexus dealer diagnoses and finds the problem to because of repairs made by Fix auto, they will need to fix it. So, we go to the dealer, pay $188, and get a written letter saying the problems are infact because of the "repairs" made by Fix Auto. Fix Auto's response? They ask us to pay $900 more to swap the non-OEM with OEM headlamp. We were told some non-OEM headlamps have this problem. We had no confidence on leaving the car to these guys to get any meaningful repairs done. So, we tell them to refund all the charges so we can go to the dealer to get it swapped with a OEM part. And that we would return the parts they put in. They said they cannot do this. In the meanwhile we noticed that one of the 2 small light fixtures donot work anymore! And also, these fixtures are halogen and non Xenon like we had it before. So, these guys tried to create a Frankenstein monster out of broken parts. Most likely because we made the mistake of telling them our plans of getting the car fixed and selling it. They thought we wouldnt care about the broken parts they are putting in. Fix Auto has been scamming us from the time we got the quote. We have absolutely no faith in these guys doing ethical business. So, we decided to goto the BBB. A couple of highlights on what they told us during repairs (almost if not the same exact words) - Oh we made mistake in the quote about the OEM part - We dont do many non-insurance transactions (after they claimed to 'fix' the car and us asking why our quote keeps changing) - We dont have experience working on Lexus RX350s (WTH?! Then why did you take it in? They told this after they claimed to have 'fixed' it) - You are anyhow going to sell the car (used several times in several situations) read more
