Went at 10:30am on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy. Everyone is coming to check it out. Store employees were super nice. Moderate size store with good selection, but some racks were empty or needed to be refreshed. I don't know if that's because they are short-handed (which they are), or because they haven't had a chance to get to things with the crazy crowds they've had. Either way, I found some items to buy, and will definitely come back.

I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word.

And since it wasn't on a common route of mine it would slip from my memory so I wanted to make sure we paid a visit as long we were remembering it. They also had a location in Auburn but that location has since closed. Steve likes leather a little bit more than I do but I still found some great jackets, shoes, boots, belts and rings here. And of course the t shirt section is always a draw for me. The place is super friendly and they had cookies and hot coffee at the front door and offered us to have some. How could we decline? Steve got a small bag here for some of his leather gear to place in and is quite pleased with it. I didn't get anything... yet but knowing how I operate I often need to ponder on something before making a purchase. Some of the jackets are at reasonable prices especially since they are leather and there seemed to be lots of sales but I am not sure if that is because it's near the holiday season or if it's always like that. I definitely want to go back and probably get a ring and a belt and browse some more as there is a lot to take in here. There are some beautiful motorcycles on display here also. I really liked Eagle Leather and once the holiday season settles down probably pay another visit.

Red flags popped up (cash or Zelle only?), but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I trusted this was a legitimate business. I could go on and on about the details of each shady hint, but let's cut to the fact that, although I remained friendly and forgiving with her lack of communication and pressing of our time, we did not receive his suit. I kindly left a voicemail for a refund yet she still did not respond. I called this morning now (day AFTER prom) and I more firmly asked for my refund, at which point she answered the phone and told me my son's suit has been in her shop for several days!! I became angry because she lied to me either yesterday, when I had her in the phone the afternoon of the prom and she told me the "shipment" won't be in until 2pm, or she's lying now. Either way, I want her to hand us a suit or our money! I've given her every chance to make this right yet she yelled at me on the phone saying she "don't do refunds" and hung up on me. She operates out of her home and thus, does not have regular business hours making it extremely difficult to drop off/pick up items. Michelle of Shirtgal does not do alterations in a timely manner. I finally got a jacket back from her after 4 months (yes you read that right FOUR months) and the alterations were not even complete. She was supposed to hem the sleeves and take in the shoulders. She returned the jacket, after I'd paid for the full alteration, with only the sleeves hemmed. The first time I spoke to her, she was friendly, but after I let her know that she did not complete the alterations that I had paid for and waited 4 months for her to complete, she stopped responding to my calls/ texts. Do not go here!!!!
