There are very few honest mechanics left on earth. Alen at AV motorwerks is one of the best…read moremechanics I have ever come across, not only is he very professional with his work. He's honest with what he does. He's the only mechanic I have ever met that shows you the damaged part with the new replacement piece. His the type of guy that checks your vehicle before giving it back updating you on what you need and don't need. That extra piece of mind is something you can't buy at a regular local shop or dealership. I came in to do an oil change and breaks cause by the squeaking noise. After the oil change Alen showed me I didn't need breaks I had just over 60% left on them. It's probably because I leave the car sitting around way to long, which is true. Any other mechanic could have charge me $600 - $1,000 but that's not Alen. He did point out that the flex pipe was damage and could lead to more things needing to be replace later on. He found what was causing that exhaust leak without me asking him to check the car. Little things like this are the reasons I don't go anywhere else. FYI I also found that he was dog friendly and that shows the type of guy he is. Didn't mind my doberman around him and that speaks colum volumes. If you want an honest mechanic; someone that does professional work, checks everything around the car, sends you pictures of parts damage and has them there for you to see. You need to check him out. No other mechanics will go to the lengthand details that Alen at AV MOTORWERKS goes too. PS his always helping out veterans just as myself. Something that I'm grateful everyday for. Thank you Alen for everything you ever do for my and my soldiers. SSG MEJIA, SANTIAGO

The head mechanic Gene proactively went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of even though I was a first time customer. Super genuine individual, honest, doesn't cut any corners & won't waste your time with BS. Gives you pricing options to work with, shows you difference between cheap, affordable & premium items, is interactive with the customer & actively tries to help the individual understand the diagnosis of your vehicle & is very accommodating. During the inspection he made me aware of a very poorly worn passenger side upper control arm that had too much play in it & he was able to replace it same day within a couple hours & the vehicles been driving like a Pearl since then. Not to mention, he had a Kick-ass staff backing the shop up as well. All around great services provided at this location & I would highly recommend. Will be returning for future services for sure ! I always have a great experience with these guys and have been a faithful customer since 2012…read more Today I brought my aunt from Long Island to have her SUV inspected. Last night, she called me frustrated and overwhelmed because three separate mechanics gave her 3 different diagnoses that ultimately caused her to fail inspection and require major work. Clearly those other mechanics were just trying to take advantage of a Senior Citizen. Not cool! Anyway, we brought the car and were seen very quickly. The "fixes" were light and ultimately my aunt paid $200 less than the other mechanics were trying to charge. My aunt plans to make this her auto repair home. Hopefully she won't need the services besides inspection but you never know - her car is getting old. Lol I never felt taken advantage of because I was a single female. They've always been fair (I've gotten quotes from others to compare and spoken to male friends and relatives) and I appreciate that. Life is busy enough - I don't have the time, desire or mental capacity to worry about being taken advantage of and finding an alternate solution. Anyway, definitely check this place out! The vibe is chill, and the staff is very cool and jovial, especially the owner - Bear.
