Our 8 yr old LG refrigerator/freezer was not cooling. Roman came out the same day I called and assessed the problem. He told us the compressor needed to be replaced and that it is still under manufacturer warranty. I contacted LG and they sent a new compressor to Five Star Appliance Repair. Roman completely took the appliance apart, installed the new LG compressor and now the refrigerator/freezer works better than ever! My oven decided to die mid-turkey on Thanksgiving. I called the next day and Roman was out on Monday. The communication was terrific with a text announcing his upcoming arrival within the already reasonable 2 hour timeframe. Roman worked diligently to diagnose the issue, and ordered parts for the repair. We scheduled the follow up for 2 days later and again, there was great communication. Turns out that the builder installed the oven incorrectly and it was slowly burning itself out over about 1.5 years. Roman replaced the wiring and the oven started working right away. I appreciated his honesty and understanding about the cost of repair versus a new oven if that was needed. I hope I don't need any repairs on my new home again, but would absolutely call and recommend five star appliance! read more

i am a diy guy for most stuff. My refrigerator evaporator fan motor was going out, normally a simple fix but when I took a look, it was no way call a pro fix. Roman came out, he had the knowledge to take apart the freezer to replace the fan motor. This was a job for a pro, complex taking Roman an hour. He did a great job, nice guy as well. i think many newer employees of repair companies would not have been able to replace the motor. If Roman can replace this motor he can fix anything. read more
