I've moved quite a bit and learned that finding a good mechanic and pizza joint are essential. Still working on the mechanic, but definitely landed on a good pizza joint - Tony's. Are cash-only purchases inconvenient at times? Sure, but you should probably consider that all businesses that take cards pass those fees onto you. There are also some critics in these reviews that find the reception to be sometimes cold or even rude. My wife was of a similar opinion, at least initially, but now demands a veggie pizza weekly. The truth is, they have the best pizza in at least the 10 mile radius of North Wales. I know this because they go on vacation every year for the month of August and while, at first, I used this time to explore other pizza places to see what I was missing, I've never found a better place to get a pie.

The owner answers the phone in a deep Italian accent. The menu remains one of those little black letters pushed into a backlit, Coke-provided plastic display hung over the side wall. Menu was surprisingly large with many options - pizza, sammies, and dinner entrees. I was in the mood for some comfort food. I ordered the Italian pressed panini and a side order of waffle fries. A glorified grilled cheese but oh so good when you had a bad day and are looking for some comfort food. :) I would recommend if in the area and looking for a casual dining option.

My daughter had a loaded mac&cheese with chicken. Mac& cheese was excellent, creamy, cheesy and perfect temp. Chicken not so much. Good presentation, fish was done quite well, garnish and sauce were good. Only negative, salsa was out of a jar and there were too many diced onions on the tacos buy hey, I can pick those off. Server Katie was excellent and we will definitely return again to try the food the place is named after.

In terms of flavor of their pizza, I feel like both Dominos and Pizza Hut offer more. Even though their toppings sound more appetizing, they are usually pretty bland for some reason. It's not terrible, it just never meets expectations. Some things I do like: the pepperoncini and the garlic dip that's included in every box. I usually end up dipping the entire pizza in the garlic to add some flavor. The most disappointing thing I've seen at this location is an employee putting a pinch of dip in his mouth right in front of me while I was waiting for my pizza, only feet away from where they make the pizzas. That was followed up by another pair of employees arguing and one telling the other to quit if he doesn't want to work. Just seems dysfunctional. I don't usually post such negative things in a review, but you also don't expect to see things like that when sitting there waiting for your food. Food is no better or worse than another Papa John's, but the environment is a little more rocky than others I've stopped in.

Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The bakery is in a really charming location with a small town feel. The space itself is cozy and inviting, and they also have a small amount of outdoor seating, which is a nice option when the weather is nice. It feels like the kind of place you can easily stop by for a casual breakfast or pick up some baked goods to take home. Service - Service was excellent. The owner and staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and everyone we interacted with was helpful and accommodating. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. What We Ordered - -Frenchie - Pretty good overall. A solid breakfast option with good flavor. -Johnny Boy - Just okay. It was missing a little seasoning and could have used more flavor. -Carrot Cake - Really good. We ordered this for a birthday celebration, and everyone really enjoyed it. -Carrot Cupcake - One of my favorites. Moist, flavorful, and had a great balance of sweetness. -German Chocolate Cupcake - Also one of my favorites. Rich, flavorful, and very enjoyable. -Lemon Bar - Just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out compared to some of the other baked goods we tried. Final Thoughts - Overall, we had a very good experience at Alice Bakery & Confectionary. The breakfast items were decent, but the baked goods were definitely the highlight for us. I would absolutely come back for the cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods. If I return for breakfast, I would probably try one of their quiches next time, which I didn't realize was an option when I ordered. The friendly service, charming location, and small outdoor seating area are also good reasons to come back.

The wait staff were quick enough to get our drinks and take our orders. It took about 30 minutes to get our food, a v. egg wrap, a waffle dish, two different pancakes. There was one other table with two people sitting there; we had 4 in our party, there were 4 people working in the kitchen. The food was good, it was breakfast food and it's really hard to mess that up and they didn't. The prices were a higher than what I would expect even in 2023, I spent $90+ for 4 people for breakfast food. Attached is a picture of the v Egg wrap and the gluten-free lemon blueberry pancakes. The waffle egg Benedict looked the most substantial of all the dishes that we had. A plus for this place is the atmosphere it's super cute and as one person at our table said very boho, hippie-like and they liked that. Also if you are gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan, you will have options available for you and that's also really nice and something that you don't see in most other restaurants in the area. They have a nice little display of their available desserts. There is parking out back with an entrance from the parking lot and also an entrance from the street. There is seating out front on the sidewalk. We'll probably go again. Pros: Vegan options, Atmosphere, Greeted quickly Cons: Slow service, waited almost an hour for breakfast., Not offered any drink refills., Small portion sizes for the prices.

The calamari was okay; it was under-seasoned, a little chewy, and had too much breading. However, the sampler was really good. The meat was tender and covered in sauce. I wish the dish had cornbread on the side as well. Staff was laid back and chill. It was a long drive but it was worth it.
