I'm giving this place two stars because the gentlemen who run this place were very kind to us but the service, my experience, was not good at all. First I had a flat and called for two tires on Sat before Memorial Day. They only had one tire that would fit in Cadillac and the price for it was $379!!!!! So I asked for the price of two and it was $750. They only had one in stock even though I had called ahead of time and wasn't told this. I almost started crying!
So they ordered four cheap I tires with no whitewall, (which I didn't know about) for $500 that would be in on Tuesday. When we went on Tuesday, they were so busy, we asked for a ride to the go cart ranch nearby and they were very sweet and dropped us off. After waiting almost two hours, they called at almost closing time to ask if I could leave the car overnight. (I know no one here,so I said no.) they weren't happy about that because they had spent two hours put four wrong sized tires on my car and would have to remove them all and put my four old ones back on including a dangerous donut and they knew I had to drive two hours away to a doctor apt that couldn't be changed.
So we got picked up only to have to stand there and wait anyway for them to put the old tires back on. OMG!!
So we made our trip and didn't get killed on the highway although it made me a nervous wreck to drive on the interstate at 50 mph and returned the next afternoon for them to put the right sized tires on the car. So we sat and waited all of two hours for them to take the tires off w a jack and by hand and put new back on by hand, never putting my car on the rack.
I had explained to them that I have had two back surgeries and cannot sit or stand for very long at all. I tried pacing outside but it was blistering hot.
All in all, I believe my daughter and I spent at least seven hours of our time at a tire place over four different occasions. And to top it all off, the bill was still $500 upon checkout and no adjustment was made to compensate for them not noticing that the tires were the wrong size before they put all four of them on. They said the mistake was made by the company that sent the tires, but I think the fact that they didn't notice that the tires were the wrong size before I drove all the way there or before they put all four on my car is where the worst mistake was made because if they were paying attention, they could have called me and saved me 5 hours of my time.
I do not call this good service. Five Oaks Tire should have seen they were the wrong size when they arrived. Do they not check the tires when they are delivered?
My daughter and I were so completely miserable!! They had a tv on old black and white westerns and allowed no access to their internet, we were miserable!! read more
