I ordered door dash and I do think it was a little much to charge for white rice. That is typically a standard and should already come with your meat entree. I understand charging extra for specialty rice but not plain white. The pikliz could be a little more spicier. Overall a good meal and it's close to home. I will give it another try.

They have the majority of the classic Haitian staple dishes on their menu like Griot (fried pork), Chicken and Whole Snapper Fish. Being half Haitian and raised in Miami, I know what good Haitian food is, and this IMO ranks high! I ordered the Tassot Koden (fried Turkey) in sauce with Rice & Beans and friend plantains. I loved the dish and it was cooked just like back home. Definitely generous on portions so I ate two meals out of it. They also have my favorite Caribbean sodas (Watermelon and Jupeña). Definitely a must try!

It's kind of a hole in the wall with limited parking on an unsaved lot. Now the portion size is substantial. No complaints there. How of the ever. I did not find the food to be that good. Can't say I'd make the drive to get their food again. Now service is fast. They definitely make the food to order and the young man that took my order was very respectful.

Authentic Dominican/Caribbean food in Willowbrook. Who knew?…read more I remember this place from a birthday party decades ago. The space was a bit bigger (they've since redesigned it smaller), but the crowds were smaller. Success hasn't tarnished their food. It was a very rainy and soggy afternoons and the place was packed. We managed a table and ordered. Can't go wrong with the delicious shrimp mofongo. I honestly think the sauce is the icing on that cake, made all the more delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Whew! Service was fast and dinner came out at a reasonable pace. The owner is so friendly and stopped by our table to make sure things were good. Better than good! If you're in the Willowbrook area do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little steep, but what's isn't these days?

I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent. The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break), There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it's in located along other stores.

Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

I decided to go here, and I was not disappointed! I ordered my food to go and waited only about 5 minutes. The establishment is pretty small, with a small bar area. I ended up ordering a large Curry Chicken and a side of Jerk Chicken. It definitely reminded me of when I was back in Jamaica! The spice level is perfect, and the portion size is nice! I actually had enough food to last me a couple of days. The only suggestion I would give is that I wish there was more curry sauce on my rice. From the moment you walk in, it's that classic old-school mom-and-pop vibe-warm, welcoming, and straight-up authentic. The staff are super pleasant, the kind of people that make you feel like family. Now let's talk about the food. * The portions? HUGE-you can easily share with two people, but honestly, you probably won't want to. Everything I tried was finger-licking good, but that chicken soup deserves its own round of applause. It's hearty, flavorful, and honestly off the chain-comfort in a bowl. The jerk, the sides, the seasonings-it all hits just right. The atmosphere seals the deal. Bob Marley props everywhere, reggae culture woven into the walls-- it's like a little slice of Jamaica right here in Houston. Good food, good people, good vibes.
