I've been to Five March twice now and I absolutely love it. I'm not normally a fan of places that do small plates - usually I'd rather just have a normal main - but for this place I do make an exception. I went twice in the space of 3 weeks (and would have gone sooner if I could get a reservation last minute!).
The restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, with lots of greenery and music at a comfortable level. Although there are a lot of tables, the place never feels crowded or too busy. The restaurant is extremely popular though, so bear in mind that you have to book well in advance if you are wanting a table for 3 or more people.
The service is excellent and prompt, and there wasn't much wait time between dishes surprisingly, even though the dishes come as and when they are ready. The wine list is great, and although I've not tried a cocktail yet the list is extensive and creative.
The menu does go through changes every now and again, but I would personally recommend the salt cod croquettes and the squid in bread sauce because they both blew me away the first time I had them. And leave room for a dessert if at all possible! read more
