Friendly staff, lots of parking outside, good amount of seating inside (20+ ppl could fit?), quick service. My go-to meal is the little cheeseburger with the little fries and a fountain soda. The burgers are cooked in front of you and made accordingly via your topping requests. The burger is juicy and better than any other fast food burger I've had. Even fast food chains deserve reviews. Five guys is always on point for a quick, made to order burger. Fries are made in peanut oil which may not always bar well for those w allergies. Portion of fries are pretty big so usally shareable. Choice between plain or Cajun. Cheese was perfectly melted. If you have a choice between five guys or other fast food chains then hands down five guys is where its at for fresh, hot juicy burgers. read more

This Five Guys has been in the Upper Valley for over 10 years it feels. I hadn't been in a long time but checked it out for lunch with my cousins. The menu is pretty simple and you can get a plain burger and build it up with a variety of toppings. A simple hamburger (actually two freshly-grilled patties but still smaller than your average restaurant burger) was $8.95 plus tax. I did mine "all the way" which includes all the toppings. It was tasty but a bit on the pricey side for what I like to pay for a fast food burger, especially when one burger was not enough to fill me up. I thought all five guys were created equal, until today. The consistency is on service is on par, and the restroom was clean, but the food quality was most certainly in need of improvement. We took the food to go and started eating as we hopped back on the highway, less than 5 minutes after leaving. I guess that was too long. My burger was cold, like all toppings, meat, cheese, etc. All the same temperature. What made it strange was the burger was cooked to a dry disk.And the cashier left off my mayo and as a result I had a burger with ketchup and mustard on both sides of the burger . So gross. I scraped off as much as I could and salvaged what I could (I had not eaten all day). Fries were flaccid and in need of a a few minutes in the fryer. The service was friendly and the food came out in a timely fashion. The crew behind the counter making the food seemed very disciplined and well trained. The food was very good - the burger and fries were consistent with other Five Guys locations that I have visited. The burger was cooked fully, but still juicy and the fries were very fresh. The dining area was very large and was well kept. If you find yourself traveling down I-91 or I-89 in the White River Junction, VT / Lebanon-Hanover, NH area, this is a great place to get a good, cheap burger. read more

Although my specific experience wasn't terrible i can understand the range in rating for this location. The wait was longer than what i am normally used to. Lots of peanut shells on the floor which makes me wonder how much they clean. The milkshake was pretty icy and i wasn't really a fan of the fries that i got, not as hot as what i usually get. The burgers were decent but again not as hot, with the wait i am confused on why i would get luke warm food. Plus when you add everything up you are talking like $20 for lunch for a burger, fries and shake, call me crazy but that seems to be a little high. I just picked up my five guys order less than 10 minutes and wow! What great customer service. There was a mixup with my order where my mom had called in and the woman who answered said we did not need a name and hung up on her. Upon getting there a different woman asked what my name was for the order I told her we were told we didn't need one and that my mom had been hung up on she immediately apologized multiple times and said that she is going to give me the fries for free. (That's all I had ordered) she went and got her manager who immediately apologized as well and gave me a free $5 gift card and he also handed me a large cup and said to get myself a soda. Went here for the first time to this chain. Walking through the door, we were hit with the oppressive wreak of grease that seemed to permeate every air molecule. That should have been warning enough but we were in need of food in comparative haste so we decided to stick it out and try it. The fact that the place was totally full also implied that the food would probably be worthwhile. No, wrong! It was quite uninspiring - unless your reason for eating is based on grease. Fearing the likelihood of the outcome, we played it safe and both ordered veggie sandwiches and a single order of Cajun fries to share. The veggie sandwiches could actually have been not too bad - except instead of just peppers, they came with GRILLED peppers and, of course, these had apparently shared the same griddle as everything else that's slathered in lard. My mistake was also for asking for cheese on mine - not realizing that, at 5 Guys, that apparently means liquid squeeze-cheese. Heat that up and add it to the greasy peppers and you have a liquid sandwich! The fries were nothing to write home about either - mushy and wet with an aftertaste of, guess.... yeah, grease. Yeah, I know fries are always pretty much cooked that way - but some places still manage to do them fairly well and not leave an aftertaste?!? Went here the other day for lunch, I work in the same plaza so it was supposed to be convenient and quick on my thirty min lunch. I called ahead to have my order placed in and ready when I got there, called in and told them my name and once I showed up I told them my name and wanted to pay for my order. They did not have my name in any orders they had pending, which they only had one which was Craig.... my name is Frank... After I told her if the order she had for Craig was what I had ordered, I said, that is my order... I just called in about 20 min ago. I paid, 12 bucks, no biggie, it's Five Guys, it is expected. I had to wait an additional 10 min to get my order because it wasn't even ready.... Essentially it took them 30min to prep an order, not cool. I just moved here from Los Angeles and even the Five Guys down there slam out a burger in no time flat when they are swamped with people. Overcooked dry burgers just the way you order them....in terms of toppings anyway. Fries are limp without any crispness I cannot understand the buzz. Honestly Burger King has them beat. I have really mixed feelings about 5 guys. In summary, good burgers, great fries, too expensive. I'm from Maryland, where 5 guys started. First, their fries are excellent - an imitation of a famous Ocean City, MD fry place on the boardwalk. Try them with vinegar - I know, sounds awful, but is excellent. I have to be honest, though, the Ocean City fry place is even better! Now for the burgers...they are good. But if you want a normal size burger, just order a small. The regular size is huge, too big really. The condiment choice is excellent. The drinks are in a cool machine, but just simply too pricey! So, if you want the good food at a reasonable price, get the order to go. And get a small order of fries (easily enough for 2-3 people), a small burger with all the trimmings you want, and wait til you get home before adding the drink. read more

It's like..... your favorite uncle showed up at the cookout and is cranking out those legendary burgers. These are not "fast food" burgers. They are juicy and flavorful. All of the toppings are fresh. The French fries are real potatoes and not processed sticks. Milk shakes with actual ice cream. I've been a long time customer of 5G (since the 1990s when they literally had 3 Virginia locations), and this location shows they just aren't managing the chain well. This time my burger was, simultaneously burnt but cold, since they aren't making them fresh but keeping precooked burgers on a corner of the grill. Other 5G locations a "regular fries" is enough for two people, literally spilling over into the bag, but not here, it's just a ~12 oz cup of loosely packed, cold, limp fries. A ripoff for the almost $4 they charge for them. And complaining literally got me a shrug. Not the first time, either... just the last. read more
