Cheeseburger
Miles M.

Went and got 2x cheeseburgers, 1x Large Fry and 1x Drink and paid FORTY THREE DOLLARS. There was 4 teenagers working, not a single adult in sight. The ketchup was empty, most of the drinks we tried in the soda machine were out of syrup. Our burgers were smashed into a bag, mushed and incorrect toppings. They gave us some extra fries in the bag but not near as much as they used to, maybe like 10 extra fries. For paying $43 for 2 burgers, 1 fry and a drink I should be blown away, I was not even slightly impressed with this establishment at all. Sadly won't be returning, I give this place a year or two before closing being run like this :\

We were very hungry and came to the restaurant 5 minutes before closing, there were a lot of us, 30 people! But the guys agreed to feed us! We ordered cheeseburgers! Very tasty, 5 stars!!!

While i was ordering the staff was very very rude, i was ordering for my family of 4 and they thought all the food was for me they said "damn girl" and they made comments about my weight . VERY Disrespectful never going back ever again it was just disgraceful. While i was eating the burger it all started falling apart, it had a veryyyy funky taste. DONT Recommend, Very Expensive for horrible food.

This 5 Guys is always staffed by the nicest people. We came for lunch today, and the cashier, Johnathan, was so nice to engage with my young son. The crew cooking the burgers were all friendly and made our quick lunch extra nice. The burgers and fries were delicious, as always. My son even drew a picture for their customer board. Just a really nice place to stop in for a bite!

Burgers are great but it costs around $20 for a burger, fries and drink. Not surprised it is now closed with prices like that.

Ask the Community - Five Guys

I wanted to go there for lunch today but it appeared to be closed and the windows were covered with paper....closed?

It says that their store is close, scheduled to reopen Nov 21,2024. Maybe they need to make repairs or remodel for a few days...

Walking up feels like stepping into a 90s time capsule in the best way possible. Classic diner vibes, no frills, just hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches and sides. The owners are incredibly kind and efficient, as everything is cooked fresh to order. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so I grabbed a table outside to soak up that sunshine. Here's what I ordered: Chili Cheese Dog: (upgraded to the Hebrew National) 10/10. Having tried both of their hotdogs, definitely get the Hebrew National over the regular one. It's bigger and more flavorful in my opinion. This thing was loaded. Flavorful chili, melty cheese, and fresh diced onions, all tucked into a perfectly grilled hot dog roll. This is definitely the dog to get if you're torn between all of the options. Street Dog: A bacon wrapped dog with ketchup, mayo and mustard and veggies (I customized mine a bit so opted out of the onion and jalapeño). If you're a fan of bacon wrapped hot dogs, this is always a solid choice too. Pro tip: These hot dogs are HUGE. I was not prepared. One would've easily done the job so next time I'm just grabbing one and adding a side of onion rings because they looked incredible. Overall a very satisfying lunch for under $20 for two dogs and a soda. Great to have a long standing hotdog restaurant in the 805.

We sat separately, 4 or us were at the couch and it was dirty with leftover food scraps, drink markings on the table, and lots of dog fur. It was hard to eat our food in that area. For appetizers we had: - deviled eggs - came with 5 halves and were just meh - poke nachos - onion rings - massive for 5 ppl but pretty standard Entrees are slightly small but it matches the price. Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich was crispy but kinda tasteless. The truffle fries came with lots of cheese and were good. The Wagyu burger was good. Splitting the check on the machine was so smooth. You can do as many cards and separate by item, which was helpful for a large group.

I ordered the huge double cheeseburger, a half-pound burger with good beef flavor. Unfortunately, it was overcooked and they did not ask about doneness. Still satisfying, but it could have been noticeably better with a little less time on the grill. The onion rings were solid. Crispy, with a pleasant sweet onion flavor. Not off the charts amazing, but they check the boxes. My pop had the tuna melt, and it must have been good because he finished every last bite. The restaurant is clean but clearly shows its age, although the seating appears to have been reupholstered fairly recently. Staff were professional and efficient. Counter ordering, a table number placed at the seat, and the food came out in just the right amount of time. Total cost was just under $40 for two people. Not cheap, but in line with what you expect these days for a sit down lunch with burgers, sides, and drinks. There aren't many independent places like this anymore. I'm rounding up a star due to its legendary status and long term consistency. It had been many years but the experience was exactly the same.

The inside feels more like a cafeteria with long shared tables, which isn't really my vibe. We sat outside instead, but it's right on a busy street, so between traffic noise and tailpipe exhaust, it wasn't exactly the most peaceful breakfast. We also got a front-row seat to someone being pulled over and yelled at by the police, which was... unexpected breakfast entertainment. Not bad, not great. 3 out of 5 stars feels about right.

The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and elevated--comfortable enough to unwind, but still polished enough to feel like you're treating yourself. Now let's talk about the food... because this is where things really stood out. We ordered the Inside Out Quesadilla, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Honey Feta Dip--and every single dish delivered. The Inside Out Quesadilla was next level. Crispy, loaded, and packed with flavor in every bite. It's not your typical quesadilla--it's elevated comfort food done right, with the perfect texture and just the right amount of richness. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were fresh, clean, and incredibly well-balanced. Great crunch, flavorful chicken, and that satisfying mix of savory and slightly sweet that keeps you going back for another wrap. And the Honey Feta Dip... easily a standout. That sweet-and-salty combo was addictive. Creamy, rich, and perfectly paired with what they serve alongside it--honestly one of those dishes you end up talking about after you leave. But what really took this visit over the top was the service. Our server, Chris, was outstanding--attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. You can tell when someone actually cares about your experience, and Chris absolutely did. On top of that, the manager David came by and made a point to check-in since he heard it was our first time, which says a lot about how the place is run. He was professional, personable, and clearly takes pride in making sure guests have a great time. That kind of leadership shows throughout the whole operation. Overall, this wasn't just a good meal--it was a full experience. Great food, great people, and a place that clearly knows how to do things right. We also had fish and chips, Korean bbq steak bowl, Tex mex chicken bowl, pot roast, ahi tuna bowl and Chicken Pot Pie. We were celebrating two birthdays and our sweet waitress brought us 2 ice cream Sundaes and extra spoons. She helped us with the new way to pay since we had cash and card and the learning curve is steep for me. All of us had a great time here and all of the food was done very well. Ok fine not a big deal we caught it and Phil refunded us $9 cash right then and there. I handed Phil a $20 bill for tip to say thank you (on a $50 tab) and he put it in the staff tip jar. We signed our receipt saying $61 (put "cash" in the tip line) and left. Now here's my issue, when my credit card statement posted it now says $71. So someone took an extra $10! At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!
