I give up on this five guys. I kept going back hoping turnover would help the quality. The fries are almost always undercooked. We went Valentine's Day after a year break, still hopeful, and the fries had been cooked twice, so gross, like clearly half cooked or fully cooked in advance and then heated up again when we got there. I love five guys. It's my favorite. This location is ok but not great. The fries at this location are always a little undercooked and floppy which is such a disappointment. I think they must have hired a new manager or chef (whomever is in charge of how fries are cooked) because they used to be good. It's been a couple years since I've had 5 Guys so I wanted to try it again. Their burgers are really, really good. Always made to order and have a great sear from the flat top. Most condiments are free to add-on but sides are a different story. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with the smallest sized fries and drink they offer. Everything is a-la-carte so the order came to $16.33. The cost is definitely higher then most restaurants in the area even considering tips for a waiters service. The biggest disappointment was the French fries. Ordered a "little" Cajun fry (well done). Even ordering well done, the fries were soggy and many of them seemed undercooked. The seasoning was done very well and the portion size was very big. But even with ordering them well done, you won't get crispy fries. Five guys if generally a five star place for me. Great burgers, great hot dogs.. Amazing fries. Stopped here for lunch and after we ordered, I heard the cashier repeat what we needed to the guys in the back wrong.. Specifically the amount of patties..I tried explaining that to her.. She told me to check the receipt..I told her she rang it right, just shouted it out to the guys at the grill wrong and told her what she yelled and she just looked at me like a deer looking at head lights.. Ended up waiting 15 minutes longer than usual while hearing five orders after us get their stuff so it was obvious her mistake delayed our order. Other than the delay, great place. read more

I know we are in tuff times with all the new regulations to keep all safe, except Restaurants have been practicing safety and sanitation for many years and the employee "should have been trained on these practices long before COVID hit. 1- staff not wearing gloves wile handling ready to eat food. 2- not changing gloves after handling cash then touching product. 3- I saw no hand washing at all. 4-face mask being removed constantly. Restrooms not kept up. I don't blame the kids that work there. My blame goes to the franchise owner who should know what is going on in his stores. Well, November 1st 2022 1:01pm was the first time I was coerced by my 11 year old daughter to go to a burger joint for lunch. We were in Stoneham picking up dog food and the was a Five Guys in the same strip mall. I had heard good things, so off we went... The store itself looked as though it had seen better days, or maybe it was just that o haven't been in a fast food place in a long while. We walked up to the counter where we were reading the menu when we encountered Matthew S. Within a split second I was presented with the fact we were not going to be met with "Welcome! How May I help you? . Just a silent glare. Not having been in one of these before we were not sure what our options were, but felt the impatience coming from Matthew S. My daughter sensed it and quickly ordered a Little Hamburger, and I just ordered a regular cheeseburger.... "Is that it?" I heard Matthew mumble. No, may we have a regular Fry to share please? As I was asking my daughter what she would like to drink, I hear disgruntled Matthew read me the total amount: $23.29! My daughter saw the look on my face, and shook her head. She just wanted to leave. I was about to get confrontational about this guy lack of patience and general rudeness, but chose to just end the order. We waited for 8 minutes before our order number was called out by another employee. We left, as I could not stomach the idea of eating in this depressing place. Sitting in the car we found our large serving of fries cascading over our little UFO looking burgers in their silver foil. It was hard to identify which was which by size, but the melted toxic looking yellow goo I identified as "cheese" differentiated the cheeseburger from the Little Burger... These burgers looked as though a UPS truck may have run them over once or twice. Needless to say, we won't be going back there, or to any other Five Guys we may encounter in the future. $23.29...$2.33tip ( I'm charitable) for a grand total of $25.62...one quarter of $100.00 spent of crap food, served by people who have no business being in the service industries.... Maybe Jiffy Lube...but not anywhere with food, or children, or where coherence may be encountered. On the bright side, Loyal Companion pet store has an excellent selection of high quality "human grade" pet foods. Next time I'm there and hunger strikes, I am more likely to pop open a bag of dog food than cross the parking lot to eat at Five Guys is located. read more

Walked in on October 4th and heard arguing and swearing from the shift leader and a Co worker. This has to be the worst 5 guy of them all. My order was given to the wrong person. When I asked what happened to my order, they said I needed to pay. I had the receipt in my hand and the best part was the lady who rang me up was the one who said I needed to order. After this mess wasn't fixed... I asked for a refund, the shift leader had no clue how to do a refund.. She proceeded to steal money from the tip cup which I explained to her that she was stealing from her Co-workers. What a joke.. I'm still waiting on the corporate office to call. I was lucky enough to be assigned to photograph the Five Guys grand opening for the newspaper I work for. Twist my arm why dontcha? My husband and I arrived around 6:30 and the line was almost to the door. Everyone wanted to check out opening day! The owners were sitting by the door and chatted with me while I took photos. Marc and Peter were very nice and really care about their customers. The line didn't take too long and we ordered a little cheeseburger for me, a bacon cheeseburger for my husband, and we shared a regular fry and soda. I took more pictures while my husband waited for our food, which took a while but not unreasonable for the crowd. We got a Coke Zero from their vast array of drinks, which included every kind of Coke imaginable, Pibb, Mello Yello, Sprite Zero, and others. I highly approve of having so many soda choices. They also offer free peanuts while you wait for your food. Where the fries are also fried in peanut oil, this is not a good place for anyone with a peanut allergy. My "little" cheeseburger was plenty big. In Five Guys speak, it's just a single patty burger. My husband's was the regular two-patty size. They were juicy and delicious and far superior to other fast food places. The fries were natural cut and perfectly salted. A "regular" fry is decently sized, and they dump another scoop in the bag on top of them. Even sharing, my husband and I were stuffed. A large fry would feed 4 people. All in all this was a great dinner. It's simple, tasty, and filling. We hold their burgers on par with Fuddruckers, which we love, and Five Guys is cheaper. There aren't as many choices but it makes for a simple decision. read more

I called to place an order Sat Feb 15th around 8:30pm and a girl put me on hold, which was fine.....until almost 2 minutes holding I still got nO reply. I hung up abs called back 6 TIMES!!! Been a loyal customer for a long time, and will not be returning after tonight. We arrived around 9:40 pm and the customer service was horrendous. I understand that people want to leave work, but you don't have to make people feel bad about coming in at that time. I ordered a chocolate shake, and the woman yelled and screamed at the guy that made the shake not to make another one. I felt so bad for the guy that made my shake. She was swearing behind the counter using profanities in front of paying customers. My husband ordered a coke from the soda fountain and at 9:45 pm she was cleaning the soda machine, so he couldn't even get one. A customer called at 9:50 pm and she yelled to the guy to tell him that they were closed. But you weren't closed, you were open. So I'm just curios if you treat all your paying customers that walk in around 9:40 the same way. I will also be filling out a survey. read more

I have not visited my local five guys in redstone plaza in a few years, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a hamburger Cajun fries and a shake. The food was average burger a little dry, the fries were above average though. This location hasn't been the same since the kid zach was running it and the other kid with the tattoos. I used to go in there all the time and them two were always working hard putting the customer first. Even before them the food was better than now. Maybe it's the training? I like five guys' food, but why on earth does it have to be so loud and so cold in this location!?! If you want to consume your food while it's still hot, you have to wolf it down because the air conditioning will make it cold within 5 minutes. And it's 50 degrees outside so the a/c should not be blasting. And the music - offensive and so so loud. Lastly, does anyone ever wipe the tables down? It's always so dirty in there. Maybe the guys behind the counter resting his head on his hands for a couple minutes could have used that downtime to clean the place up a little. I am so glad that I don't eat here. With that being said I was there so my BF could grab a quick burger without having to eat McDonald's or Burger King. While waiting for the food I watched one employee who was wearing a pair of disposable gloves come over touch the register-and receipts then go back to touching food without changing his gloves or washing his hands. As I stood there and continued to watch I saw another employee who was only working with food wearing gloves touch her mouth and then continued to touch peoples food. Not to mention the employee at the end of the line was touching food, stickers, tape on a dispenser, receipts, along with food. SO GROSS I hope no one gets sick read more

This Five Guys is not as good as the one in Burlington. The music is blaring. I swear they do it on purpose to drive away customers from sitting down to enjoy their meal. The other night, I got a burger TO GO based on the blaring music. I will not subject my hear to that nonsense. Got home and they gave me a bun that was stale around the edges. Its funny bc while I was waiting for my order, a couple at a table actually sitting down to eat were commenting on their buns being stale. I cant imagine how that could happen with a burger joint selling a large volume of burgers all day but it did. The burger itself was bland despite having katchup and pickles on it. At the Burlington store, I get the same order all the time and this has never happened there. No stale buns or tasteless burgers. No blaring music. We got take-out from here, using the ordering app, which works pretty well. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. There were no problems, apart from the fries losing a slight bit of crispness in the 5 minute drive home, which is to be expected. It felt like they compensated by giving us way more fries than we ordered. The only comment made was by the person who picked up the order, who lives locally. He said they claim they will put the fries in last to retain as much crispness as possible, which was not the case this particular time (he watched them assemble the order). Burger is best as a double. It's messy, remember those "Hot and Juicy" Wendy commercials where the person had to wipe their mouths after every bite? It was like that. So get yourself a lot of napkins. I'd never been to a 5 Guys place before...heard RAVE reviews about them. A friend wanted to meetup for lunch while I was in town, this place was where we met. The burger? Bacon Cheeseburger. I'm not sure there was bacon on mine...didn't taste like it. The burger? thin and tasteless. I asked for mustard on it, didn't get any and had to get them to provide me some since they don't put it on the condiments area. The fries? They were ok...nothing like the pic here. The price? WAY overpriced. The service? What service? I got everything myself. I won't be back. read more

Went here yesterday and immediately left!! The peanuts where on top of the trash bins!!!! Wtf is that???? Every table was disgustingly filthy!! The floors where a mess with dried sticky soda,and nobody making a attempt to clean anything! So if the front is like that I can just imagine what the kitchen must be like!!! This is the closest Five Guys to me so it is the one I frequent the most. But it is not my favorite. The hot dogs (particularly the bacon-cheese-dogs) tend to be greasy (duh, I know, but I am comparing it to another franchise) and the fries tend to be a little underdone. The burgers were fine and I love the soda dispensing machines. I know that the peanuts while you wait is one of their "things" but they might consider skipping the peanuts for all the nut allergies out there. I agree with one of the previous reviewers about the yelling. I also think that the music could be brought down by about half and maybe then they wouldn't have to do so much yelling? (Okay, my old lady ranting is done. Now I have to go outside and shake my fist at the young people playing in the street.) My final comment is that it is a bit pricey for basically fast food. I can't help but wonder if all these new franchises popping up will eventually go the way of Krispy Kreme - more of a novelty than anything else? read more

I'm a sucker for burgers and fries. A good burger and fries can turn a crappy week into a good one! :) I finally made my way to a Five Guys and I can understand the hype. My husband and I each got a Cheeseburger, but wish we had known that a non-Little Cheeseburger is really a double patty burger. Luckily, my husband and I were both hungry! You can add as many toppings as you want for free so I opted for grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes. The tomatoes made the burger pretty messy, but it was still delicious. (Joanne G. was right, prepare yourself with lots of napkins!) Not bad for fast food and definitely beats McD's and BK. The hand-cut fries were the star of the meal though. The girl taking our order told us the large fries could feed 4 so we stuck with a regular size. The regular was definitely enough for 2 people to share, but my husband and I were sad when the last fry in the bag was eaten. It would be nice if they served milkshakes as Jon B. suggested and if their rolls could handle the sogginess of the tomatoes, but otherwise there's not much else for me to complain about. read more

I went here on a whim on my way back to work since I was starving and I had heard a lot about Five Guys burgers. I am really really trying to take this place for what it is, but I can't, it's just not that great, at all! I got the "hamburger," which comes with two patties. Fact: they use fresh meat and cook it right in front of you on the flat top. Fact: that doesn't make it a good burger. It was juicy from the copious amounts of grease. It was well done, but that is how they cook them. The smash the livin sh*t out of it and you are left with a measly looking greasy pattie.....YUMMO! Having the two patties stacked does not improve the situation, now you just get two smashed patties with even more grease. I was not impressed in the slightest. This is a notch over fast food burgers, but not by much. When I eat a burger, I want a big/juicy/monger medium rare burger so the "juices" not grease runs down my chin when I take a bite. With the perfect bun and the fixins you like. Now THAT is a burger. p.s. I didn't try the fries but I heard they were actually fresh cut potatoes and were very good.
