This 3-star rating is strictly for this location in Southaven, MS While Five Guys is worthy of 5 stars in the majority of locations I've visited across this fair country, this location was a whole other experience. The decor is like any other Five Guys but the tables and booths and some of the chairs were just a mess. Well, they hadn't been wiped of crumbs, sauces, peanut shells, nor other remnants. It was gross. The floors weren't much better. They felt like they had never even had a one-night-stand with a degreaser, never mind a whole relationship, at any time in their existence. We all know it's expensive but I like this occasional splurge. At the counter, I ordered a little cheeseburger all the way excluding raw onions, mushrooms, and lettuce, a regular order of fries to share, a regular hamburger all the way, no exclusions, a chocolate milkshake and a Coke. All from a sullen teenager who had to be urged to speak audibly and clearly. I was polite but irritated at having to feel like an old biddy. The teen remained sullen but at least I could hear the questions. I had never seen a Five Guys kitchen crew so quiet, perhaps sullen as well? The whole place just felt... wrong. We asked for a booth to be wiped. Once it was wiped down, we sat to wait. Wait we did. The place wasn't very busy. Maybe 2-3 other groups of 2-4 people ahead of us. Still, we waited. Others got their orders and new people came in and got theirs. After asking about our order, it had mysteriously been lost in the queue. Certainly no apology from the sullen order-taker. We got a refund and left. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked the order taker to please raise his voice? I'm not sure what happened, but it was just a downer. We went to Huey's nearby where we shook off the experience, enjoyed drinks and a steak and returned to our hotel nearby. There is one older lady "Christine M" that outside of generally has a bad attitude and not friendly, fails at 100% getting an order correct. Holy moly... This place is pricey. To be fair the burgers are good. It's been a long time since I've had a five guys so we decided to grab a couple of burgers. My cheeseburger cost nearly $12. My wife got a little cheeseburger and it was over $9. The small french fries were nearly $6. Now if the servings were good sized that be fine but unfortunately they're not. The saving grace was the flavor was good. I also enjoy the free peanuts. The place looks like every other Five Guys but the tables and chairs needed cleaned. Food not good, the manager on duty is very rude and disrespectful. I called to address a concern with my order and when I asked to speak with the manger they stared laughing mocking the way I spoke. This was my first time for a Five Guys. As a burger fanatic I've had some great ones. My pal and I both had a double burger, fries and a drink.......$48! Okay, let's see what you got. Took my daughter there for her 20th birthday because that is where she said she wanted to go. $84 for 4 burgers, 4 fountain drinks (the milkshake machine was down so we had to get fountain drinks), 1 large fry and 1 small fry. First of all I could have taken her to a steak house for that price and 2nd the fry portions were a joke. The cashier was well aware that we were ordering fries for 4 people and she said 1 large and 1 small would be plenty. Nope! I ate peanuts so my husband , 16 year old son and 20 year old daughter could have them as I knew this would NOT be enough for all of us. The "large" fry was barely filled to the top and the "small" fry too. The burgers were really good but disappointed in the portions definitely has gone down hill since I was last there a year ago. Normally you would get a mountain of fries and we would take them home for leftovers. When I paid, the screen asked for a tip I chose no tip. Tip For what? For my number to be called and I have to get my own food?! Floors were dirty and place felt dingy and grimy. Workers appeared to be on coast mode and putting in their time. Food was ordered on Door Dash, so I'm not sure what crew was working on 3/14/23 @ 730 pm, but our food was fresh, accurate, and delicious. I got a grilled cheese with a patty that was spit on perfect. Fries was fresh and still hot. Burgers were perfect put together, just outstanding. Hola Como Stas so we just got back from five guys like a couple hours ago I checked my kids out and we came and we found some interesting things in here. We found a few bugs and one of my kids has health issues so that wasn't very sanitary for him and like he can't breathe and there is no oxygen in there and stuff so we were dying but the service is OK, you know it's fine out of hands it was out of pocket it was like just so tired in there like they seem so tired. Staying at a nearby hotel without a car. Mcd across the street wouldn't let me order inside so I came over to 5guys. Good choice. Fast, friendly, quality. I'm meat based keto and they had no issues with bun less burgers. Plain patties are $2 each. read more

Placed order online, actually while I was in their parking lot. Said it would be done by 12:58pm. I checked in and told them I was there at 1:08. My burgers were waiting patties, but they only had one person doing the grill. My order was completed at 1:14pm. The fries were cold and not even close to being crispy! The lettuce on the burger was old looking and biter! There wasn't a long line or an extreme amount of people waiting for orders. I've always loved 5 guys burgers and fries when I was at an area that has it like in Barlett or on Union Ave. in Memphis. So I was really excited when they came to Southaven, near where I live. I didn't give this place 5 stars because when I come here, in order to get my fry fix, I have to consistently order a "regular" order of fries. By this company's standards, a regular order should be able to feed 2 people. The aforementioned locations understand the fry proportions they are supposed to give. If I go to 5 guys in Barlett I can't even finish a "little" order of fries. I will give them some slack, as this is a new location with new workers who probably don't understand what a customer's money's worth is compared to other locations. read more

Fresh food, they put the raw meat on the grill after you order your food which takes longer than most fast food places but at least you know it's fresh, it does not have a drive thru. Fresh ingredients and delicious fries. Not always as crispy as you'd want but made just right. Cajun fries or just salted. Great for families. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Southaven needed a new place to eat and five guys is a welcome addition. Hubby & I stopped in for lunch. The red and white decor makes this place fresh and clean and the many windows makes it look open and spacious. The music and atmosphere was not overwhelming as customers could carry on a conversation and be heard. The service we received was excellent being our first time the associate was so nice to explain the menu to us letting us know about the difference in the regular burger versus the little (the little comes with 1 patty) and that the fries are large enough for 2 people to share (she wasn't wrong about this we could have shared ours with 3 people) and that the condiments are added as we wanted at no extra charge. Our order came to $20.19 for my little burger and hubby's regular cheese burger and 1 order fries with 2 drinks. Not bad considering they make it fresh and it was good. The one thing that I noticed that I appreciate is that the floor associate rolled the trash can to the back to take care of the trash then rolled the can back to the floor. I thought this was cool considering I've been in other restaurants where they just pulled the trash right out of the can onto the floor right in front of customers eating. This store was clean. Associates were sweeping, washing tables and wiping down the machines. They have peanuts available to munch on too. We enjoyed this new addition to Southaven. For the cost and quality, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place. There are a lot of places that offer a superior burger for those prices. They weren't the "juiciest, most mouth-watering, flavorful hamburgers". The fries were advertised as "creamy rather than crunchy". They were crunchy and nearly burnt. I don't eat beef. So when I went to the Southaven Five Guys store, they sold me on the gilled cheese sandwich . This was my first time go into their store. I wanted to get a sandwich for my mother. She hadn't eaten a hamburger from Five Guys. She loved it so much she want me to carry her every time I come to Memphis TN. She is 90 years of age.
