The staff is awful compared to the rest of the stores they couldn't even get my order right "had 2 order twice" only person who knew what they were doing was the manager if i were the owner i would close the whole store down cause there's a better establishment down the street in port jeff, non the less to say the local crowed wasn't much better. I'm definitely there for the shakes because I don't eat beef but they do have good fries and I think chicken. The staff know what they are doing, and they treat their customers right. I know people laugh when they check reviews for a franchise but take my word for it. Edit: forgot to add, I find it quite distasteful to display playboy type images of women in this type of establishment. This is not a strip club and it's no longer 1950. Women don't like being exposed to these type of images and being made to feel uncomfortable where they spend their money. Really speaks to the mentality of the manager/owner. Ladies vote with your wallets. This place has really bad service and I had a really bad experience. When you walk in they reach out to you very enthusiastically and yell out your name really loud which is awkward. It wouldn't have been a problem if everything else was find but it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination. So I start waiting for my order but they never call out again or put an order on the counter again. I see other people getting their orders and I inquire so they find it sitting around somewhere. They messed up the order - I mean I order a single hamburger with bacon and 2 toppings, was it that hard? They forgot the bacon. The worst part of the whole experience was some guy that works there with a rag in his hand who did 13 laps around my table (I counted) as I ate making me very nervous! As I got up he proceeds to follow me to the trash and then out the door, right behind me! And as I left still leering out the window. I love how everything is made fresh! When you order something you can literally see them make it in front of you. The fries r amazing! Fried perfectly and seasoned well. The cajun fries are a bit spicy but if you can take spicy i would totally order it! I love how you can customize the burgers/hot dogs/milkshakes for no extra cost but say you get a plain hot dog which is what my son likes its going to cost the same as a fully loaded hot dog that his dad gets. It almost feels like i should ask for the extra toppings on the side so i will get my monies worth. Another problem is whenever I order from here i usually place the order online so i state a pick up time and everytime its never ready when i want it to be and i have to wait!! Its like if your going be there at 12:00 to pick up state the pick up time as 11:30-1145 or else your food wont be ready til 12:20ish! Excellent burger! I started keto 3 months ago and read that 5 Guys is a great place. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no bun. First response, "Would you like that lettuce wrapped or in a bowl?" Awesome!! I got tons of toppings and as usual, the burger was tasty as hell! Great job 5 Guys....catering to those who don't want the bun! Also, no fries for me. However, when I used to eat everything, the Cajun fries are the best! This is one of the very few burger places that knows about lettuce wrapping . I first had Five Guys years ago in Florida, and was really happy when I saw them popping up on Long Island. This is my favorite chain burger joint by far. The food is fresh and cooked right in front of you, the fries are perfectly seasoned and plentiful (even the smallest size is easily enough for 2 people), and the toppings for the burger (as many as you want) are no charge. Like Shake Shack, there's only one choice of cheese (American), and also like Shake Shack, they're pretty pricey. Expect to spend at least $30 if you're eating with a group of 2 or more. That being said, I prefer the taste of the burgers at Five Guys to those at Shake Shack, the fries in all that delicious peanut oil can't be beat, and I find the atmosphere more welcoming and approachable. Plus they have one of those nifty soda machines where you pick the flavor you want. Cons? This particular visit I ordered a cheeseburger but got a bacon cheeseburger. No problem here, free bacon for me - but if I didn't eat pork I would have had to send it back and it's already kind of a long wait for food since they make everything to order. If you have a peanut allergy, don't go here, as not only are their fries fried in peanut oil, but there are also boxes of complimentary roasted peanuts sitting out everywhere. Yummy for those of us who don't have an issue, but deadly for those who do. All in all, delicious food in a family friendly atmosphere; a little expensive but you get what you pay for. read more

It's great! The cashiers are always nice and the burger is always delicious. The fries are the best though, I think it might be the peanut oil they fry it in. They are going crazy with the chain restaurants in Selden! First a Panera popped up in the middle of the parking lot, now there's a Five Guys Burgers and Fries where the old Fuddruckers used to be!? I ordered online and as soon as I got in I had two different people asking If i'm being helped and what the name of the order to pick up. Heat from the food trapped inside the plastic turns the paper bag into tissue paper and all the fries turn to soggy garbage. This is the best burger place! I have eaten here multiple times and the quality of the food and service is always 110%. The price may seem a bit high but the amount of food you walk away with is worth it! For a family of 4 with teenagers I will spend about $50-$55 The Cajun fries are my favorite. So disappointed. I was there today 2/28/2021 @7:30pm. Two very new employees (their 1st week), a guy who obviously didn't want to be there managing them while the real manager was packing items into the back. All just leaving these two new employees without direction. My hot dogs were done (as per the mgr walking by) and no one was even putting the fries down to cook. This location is run by children who are easily overwhelmed. I was the only one in the restaurant when I placed my order but they still took about 20 minutes to complete it. A rush came in 5 minutes after I ordered and the people after me were getting their orders first. I saw my burgers sitting on the counter half done getting cold. By the time I got my order it was cold! I asked for extra bacon on my burger and when I opened it up there was no bacon. They made me a new one pretty quick but this one had a glob of A1 sauce and crumpled up burnt bacon in the middle of the glob of A1. On top of that, the fries were burnt and tasted like charcoal!
