I have to confess--something about this place keeps calling me back. It's like a secret obsession. This White Castle used to be pretty decent, but last 3 x over the last two years that I been here it's not good. Missing items each time, the poor way they seal the bags causes everything to be wet by the time we get home with the food (and only live 10 minutes away). I have been eating White Castle since I was a kid . Well tonight all that changed . The burgers had an awful taste . The fries were not cooked at all . I called White Castle and I ordered or it through door dash . Which should not make a difference . I called White Castle and spoke to a woman who couldn't care less . She took no responsibility what so ever . She blamed door dash . That is totally outrageous and so wrong . Definitely deserves 3.5 stars. We haven't been here since they remodeled and reopened. What a great remodel job!! Appears smaller than the previous store, but still a great use of space. Very clean. I ordered the Double Stack combo with onion rings. My husband had the Slider Combo. Brought back such yummy memories!!! How can you not love a "belly bomber." We also shared an order of chicken rings, which were also as memory served. And we tried the new Cheese Rings. Melted gooey cheese on the inside with a crispy, fried coating on the outside. Very good!!! And I'll add one thing. We were the only ones ordering at the time. As we waited for our food, a huge line of people accumulated. Greetings Yelpers, Everyone had a "The Crave" at some point in life. Usually it was after playing ball, getting drunk or during a poker game. Well I recently just had " The Crave". As usual when going to castle one over orders. I went on the app to avoid waiting in store, guess what? ( they want your 1st born to order online. Reached the castle & had to wait 25 minutes because they screwed up the order. It didn't seem to matter to the staff. When I finally received the order & reached home & opened up the bag to savor "The Crave" anxiously waiting to have that mouth watering Castle hit my taste buds. Lol, look what I saw (. See Photo. ). OK, time has passed so I can come clean. This was the White Castle I grew up with as a kid. We all came here on dates, hung out with my HS friends, it was cheap and I have good memories here. However! Think 80s! I was in the military and I came home on leave during the summer. I was so excited, I went to Merry Go Round (Remember that store??) and bought a cool black Chams shirt with a skinny tie. I'm all set to hit the Long Island clubs. Just something to point out, They really don't have lotsa clubs anymore do they? Everyone is piercing their face and drinking to some wacky music. (They don't even Wang Chung??) Yuckkk. After the club, me and my three buddies stop in to this location to get White Castle hamburgers. We sit down next to 4 girls in an adjoining booth. My buddy who was a little crazy, throws his pickle at the girls. They pick it up, throw it back and almost hit my shirt! We finish and my buddy takes his empty soda cup and throws it on their table. They take the cup and throw it at me!? It opens and even though its just ice, its my shirt! I say, lets go! We jump in the car and I drive to Dunkin Donuts across the street. ?? I grab a dozen jelly and cream donuts. We all go inside with these "weapons" and throw them at the girls, the cooks, customers. it was mayhem in Centereach! I stop in with my wife last week. Standard White Castle. Burgers seemed a little cold, and I ate at the restaurant. Not sure why that was. They grill (steam) the burgers on the bed of onions, as they have always done-and yes, you can see this from the dining room (to whomever said they're microwaved). I've been coming to this White Castle since it first opened somewhere around 1985. I probably come here once every three months on average and have been doing so far 30+ years. As of late this restaurant has taken a nosedive and quality as well as service. I don't know if it's under new management or new ownership but the building itself is in disrepair and it's filthy. I placed my order through their mobile app at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The app told me it would be ready by 2:14 and I was about 10 minutes away so I headed over there. I got to the drive-through at 2:11 PM there were four cars waiting at the window and no cars waiting at the screen where you place your order. I pulled up to the screen and was immediately greeted with hi welcome to White Castle please wait a minute. I sat there for at least 10 minutes all the while knowing that my food was ready at 2:14. At 2:19 PM the young lady said can I take your order and I told her that I made a mobile order through the app and she was confused. I repeated myself and then she said OK you can pull up. At this time my food has been ready for 5 minutes. Sitting somewhere getting cold. Each car ahead of me took between five and 10 minutes to get their food. I finally arrived at the window to pay for and pick up my food at 2:30. I handed the woman my credit card and she proceeded to tell me that my order was a completely different total then I had gotten through the app and in an email. She read my order back to me and I said no that's not what I ordered so then she said oh you are the mobile order. Then she proceeded to walk away from the window and go somewhere else in the restaurant where I could not see. Now I sat at that window alone wondering what was happening for 10 minutes before she appeared again with another woman who helped her on the computer to process my payment. That took another 5 minutes. When she handed me my card back she disappeared again into the restaurant somewhere. Four minutes later she appeared with my food and finally handed it to me at 2:47 PM! Once I got my food I asked her what was going on in there and asked if everything was OK and she said no we are really understaffed. I asked her if that's normal and she said yes we are always shorthanded. On my way home I reached into the bag and pulled out a cheeseburger and took a bite out of it and it was ice cold. I figured that when I get home I can always just microwave the burgers. However when I got home I noticed that they weren't really cooked all the way but they made up for that with the mac & cheese bites and the corn dog bites that were completely burnt please see the photos. I just called the corporate office to ask them to send a district manager in that direction to find out what has happened to this location. There aren't any other white castles in the immediate area and you'll have to travel towards Nassau County to find the next one. I will not be returning to this location anymore. I believe there might be one in Brentwood and I know there's one in Commack that I will be driving much further to get to. read more

Here's the Scoop: i haven't gone to White Castles in years but we were on the road home saw one and made a u-turn. It was a wonderful pit-stop. There menu has extended to healthy choices too. Grilled chicken, veggie burger, chicken & waffles. Wow I was pleasantly surprised. Burgers are now 80 cents each or you can get a meal. Many choices. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes trying to figure out what they have and what I wanted. I just went for the usual a number 1 which is 4 burgers, fries & drink for like $6. My honey and I got the same with a side of fish nibblers. Soooo good. The restaurant was kept clean and tidy by the cashier who took our order. Decorated for Valentine's Day. Ok, so the previous reviews must be old. Upon entering, the store was new in appearance and clean. Chris (I'm assuming the manager) was friendly, attentive, answered questions, on the ball. Stoked to learn of the Ghost pepper White Castle's. Had to try them. off the hook! Don't think I'll ever order the regular cheeseburgers again. Hope they keep these on the menu. Oh, why did I do it? I know the after effects. I realize that White Castle is human Drain-O. I could not help myself. It's like a moth to a flame. This location is just too dangerously close to where my relatives live. Whenever I go out to the suburbs to visit I know it's always there. Comforting in a way. It's been there forever. I remember when it first opened and the lines that stretched for blocks. It was a novelty back then and not many had ever had it. It was like a beacon of light over many drunken nights and escapades. Cheap belly bombers to coat our alcohol filled stomachs. Our drunken asses would dig up whatever few dollars we had left and change on the car floor to enjoy a late night pig-out before stumbling home. Here it is years later and it's still there. The crowds have died down considerably, and the prices have gone up, but it's still a cheap meal. Still tastes the same. Still cleans you out the next morning! Drive through can be painfully slow. That's never changed. It's better to go inside and watch the staff prepare the food. It's decently clean in there but on weekend party nights can get a bit messy. I dropped in on Saturday night to grab a few of those soft little sliders on the way home. Same result as always, but still oddly satisfying. Feed the crave! read more

Its pretty standard as white castles are concerned. I have actually been coming to this white castle since I was a little kid. My dad and I have a ritual where after eating a slider we toss the box onto the floor of the truck... we immediately stop talking as we do this and quietly listen to the sound of the cardboard puttering around the rubber floor mats. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait despite the place being empty. Not sure if they are understaffed or what. All in all i would recommend this business. read more

Burgers etc. It is a White Castle so I suppose you all know what they serve- this is the place to hit when that crave starts after a night out with the fellas... and there is no other taste like it that I know of. This White Castle location has a drive through that seems to move faster than the others in NY - so not sure if that is true or not but I ordered and had my goodies and was on my way in a flash. Wow what's up with the third piece of bread in the double cheese burgers. If I wanted a "Little MAC " I would have went to McDonalds. They ruined my favorite burger. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Literally every time I go to this location they get my order wrong. Last time I went before tonight they forgot to give me $15 worth of food that I ordered so I went inside and they said they don't know what happened but it happens all of the time. I ended up waiting 15 minutes inside while 3 door dash drivers came in and said either their orders were incorrect or they weren't ready when the store told them it was and all 3 had to cancel their orders which puts them at a loss. Tonight the drive through employee literally read me back my order and then forgot 3 things, got everything on our order incorrect and didn't include any of the condiments that we asked to them for in person at the window. Don't know what I was expecting while trying breakfast from here. Tried the sausage breakfast slider combo. Easily The worst breakfast ever. They say it's a real cracked egg. Don't know when it was actually cracked, but no way was it fresh. I'm so nauseous from it right now and I didn't even eat the whole egg.
