My son has been begging to try Five Guys, so we finally stopped in--and honestly, I'm glad he pushed it because this spot delivered a full-on burger -approved, mom-approved, vibe-approved experience. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and good energy. The restaurant was spotless, bright, and surprisingly spacious with plenty of indoor seating and a chill patio setup. It had that clean, open, "we actually care about our space" feel--not always guaranteed at a burger joint. We ordered the cheeseburger combo with drinks and fries, and everything came out fresh to order. Let me just say: this burger had range. Stacked with lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onions, pickles, mushrooms, mustard, and their house dressing, it looked like something your cool foodie friend would post on Instagram. Not smashed, not sloppy--just clean layers and proud presentation. You could tell the cook had aesthetics on the mind. A burger that respects itself? We love to see it. And then the fries. The fresh-cut, cooked-to-perfection kind that stay crispy even after you've talked too long before digging in. Five Guys is known for tossing extra fries into the bag, and yes--they delivered on that promise. Crispy. Golden. Addictive. OMG-level delicious. They've got a nice lineup of dipping sauces, but we accidentally discovered a masterpiece: A1 + buffalo mixed together. I don't know who needs to hear this, but go ahead and put that combo on your burger and your fries. Life-changing. You're welcome. Even though the place had a steady flow of people (it's clearly a neighborhood favorite), our food came out fast, hot, and fresh. Zero waiting-around energy--just straight-up good service. Overall, Five Guys gets a solid 5 out of 5 from us. Great burgers, perfect fries, friendly staff, and a clean environment that feels low-key modern and kinda hip. My son walked out grinning, I walked out full and happy, and we both agreed we'd definitely come back. If you're craving a good burger without the fuss and free peanuts, Five Guys is the move

Came in for lunch, cashier was friendly with a smile. Was greeted and she asked if I was ready to order. I said I have a question. Have you tried the patty melt? She said it was great. I think I will try that today. I ordered it with all the fixings and made it a combo. Cajan fries and a medium soda. I got my order number then went to choose my soda. They have a Coca Cola style soda dispenser. Has many soda flavors to choose from. Lots of diet soda that I like. I got the Fanta Zero Pineapple. My food was ready in about 7 minutes. Hot and tasty!

Literally paid for a large fry but got a small fry portion. My son will only eat five guys fries and we go every Friday. This is the smallest portion he has ever received. I go to this one because the service is always great, tonight was no different but the fries are disappointing.

Its been years, since I been here because several years ago, the Burgers were not as good as before but today, I was hungry. I must say, the Bacon Cheeseburger and fries were the best, that they have ever been.

    Cheese not melted.

The cheese is never melted through. It's obvious the cheese was placed on the patty after it's cooked but if it's not cooked hot enough it's not going to melt all around. Every single time I go here I think maybe this time it will be melted through but nope it never is. For a $15 cheese burger melt the dang government cheese already. If In-N-Out can do it Five Guys can too!

Jasmine & the 5 Guys staff went above & beyond tonight (11-4-24) for my son's 13th birthday! Service and food were great as usual, & Jasmine sang happy birthday with us! Then she gave my son a gift certificate and the whole staff sang hbd again to him! Thank you for making a chill birthday dinner epic!

Solid, centrally located 5 Guys in Clairemont Mesa. Plenty of parking and no wait on a weekend during dinner time. Enjoyed my hot dog loaded up with toppings plus Cajun fries!

It was my first time trying out Five Guys. I've always heard about it through friends but I've never had the chance to make a visit. Now that I've had my first taste, I'll come back again. The burgers are very juicy with a thicker patty. You can choose any toppings and make the burger your way. I expected the burger to be bigger but it was still tasty. Service from workers is good. I was given recommendations and the top popular orders. Milkshakes are very comforting as well. They aren't too thick and it's easy to digest. The store is small but there is plenty of seating. The store is also kept clean so I'd definitely recommend this place to grab a fast bite or dine with friends.

    Received the bag at 12:47.

30 minute wait for a cheeseburger and fries. There were 2 people in line in front of me. I watched my burger sit there and get cold. I love 5 Guys and the food but I can't justify spending nearly $30 on burger/fries/drinks for a wait like that ever again.

Nice location with indoor and outdoor seating

That's not to say it's bad, I think all sandwiches places should be as good as this was, but it just wasn't special enough to get four stars in my opinion. You have all the staples and classic. Your roast beef's. Your turkeys. Your ham. They also serve breakfast sandwiches which looked super good. There's also a handful for interesting combos which caught my eye. I went with the Pho'wich which has slow cooked roast beef, fresh basil, tomato, onion, cucumbers, house pickled jalapeño, hoisin mayo, on a buttered garlic roll. I cut it in half, added some chips and a pickle. It came out to just about 20 bucks. I was one of three people in there on a Sunday around 1pm and from order to my mouth was no more than 7 minutes. The jalapeño wasn't spicy nor didn't taste very pickled. The hoisin sauce i thought would smack, but sadly it didn't. I love hoisin but thought it made the sub subpar. It fell a little flat from my expectations but the roast beef was tender and the bread was garlicky which added depth to it. I would come back to try the others but I don't think I'll come back anytime soon. The inside was cute and fun stuff on the walls that captured my attention. Service was nice. Can seat maybe 30 inside and another 10 or so outside where I sat with my dog.

Service : the three ladies working the front were amazing very kind and helpful. I ordered Garlic shrimp with rice and mac salad The shrimp was slightly over cooked but the sauce was pretty good and the garlic sauce was on the rice and the Mac salad was great . Shrimp Gets a 4/5 rice 4/5 and mac salad 4/5 Sausage Masubi No Masubi sauce on it ....rice was fine... sausage was so over cooked it was actually shriveled up little piece not even a big slice of sausage . Basically the texture of pepperoni. No sauce again... dry and tasteless so I tossed it 0/5 Kalbi ribs (picture ) One of my favorite dishes . The picture is how my ribs came (I had not eaten one ounce of meat off them) because there was no meat. The marinade was not what it used to be but it was sweet and savory so that's fine. They were def marinated . The one rib I could get meat off was so hard and chewy and dry... Now In Hawaii they have ribs hanging above the stove that are not always the grill type. they are almost air dried, and heat cooked but they are tender and have meat on the bones . This was not that. I usually never return food it has to be bad but I was not paying for meat that didn't exist and beef jerky . The ladies up front worked their handsets to get me a refund (they had to call their boss to try and figure it out ). I appreciate their great attitude and time . Not sure I actually got a refund In The end of all of it, but that's ok they tried. 0/5 on the ribs I don't know if anyone knows if this place is under different management or ownership since when they opened... but it has taken a huge dive. I'm sad. The average stars for everything is 2.5

The chorizo wasn't like Roberto's so there was no grease dripping down my hands. That usually means either too much eggs or better quality meat. I think it was the latter. So something really has to stand out. It felt like a family taco shop. The "Dad" was the best! He called the orders like he was asking if we did our chores and called the kids coming in mijo. He made sure that we had what we needed - reminding us to "eat all" of our food then danced behind the counter. It was a fun breakfast.

We left right away to pick up the food and sure enough it was ready waiting for our arrival. One quick drive back home to dig in and the aroma was so enticing. California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of veggies and liked the ample amount they provided. ---- There's a couple benches outside in front of the shop and seating at booth tables inside as well. It's a bit smaller to sit inside, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and the sunset is beautiful. ---- Overall: if you're in the mood for California Burritos come to the place rightly named California Burritos!
