First time here today. I was not disappointed as many other previous yelpers have been. Yes it is expensive and they don't have ranch dressing. The burger itself was very good. The fries were good as well and I felt like we got a large amount of fries. Terrific taste and price for what you get. Order a hamburger and get 2 patties with as much condiments on it as you want; no limit. While you wait for your order you can have all you can eat peanuts and they are good and free. I can order 2 of the most expensive burgers at Carl's Jr and pay half that. Your burgers are small and taste like something you can make in your backyard, and your prices are insane. This was my first time trying Five Guys and I was not impressed. First off, it is extremely expensive. I ordered 4 burgers, 4 fries, 3 shakes and one fountain drink. My total was $68. I almost had half a mind to just cancel the order and go to In-N-Out. The shakes were pretty good. The burger was good. And the fries were too salty and too soggy. None of us were able to finish our fries because they were just too salty. I was expecting so much more, especially with the price tag that it comes with. read more

Heard the hype about five guys and so it's true. My husband and I tried them out today Bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fried . I must say food was fresh very tasty . Yes it was a bit pricey but you do got to pay a bit more for quality. Cause their food is % excellent quality. Customer service was amazing greeted with a smile it was very welcoming. I honestly don't know why so many people are crazy about this place, to me it was just a burger that tasted okay, nothing like wow! When I went in, it was busy so it took some time for me to order and get my food. The price is definitely higher and for what it was, I'm not sure if it was worth it! It's a different setting so it's good to check it out, but probably not come too often. You do get a lot of fries, so it's a good idea to share! I have had 5 guys in the Fremont location a few times . It has always been good but just a little bit overpriced. I thought this location was going to be the same. I was wrong. I should have know by the fact that all the trash cans were overflowing that I should have walked away. My burger was dry and overcooked. It did not have much flavor. The bun was really hard . I had to tell the cashier how much change I had coming because she got confused when I gave her a penny, I only ordered a burger with mayo onion tomato pickles and no lettuce, I got heaps of lettuce and the bun was cold. It was merely okay. Nothing special. Definitely no better than grabbing a pound of ground beef from the grocery store and doing it yourself. I certainly don't see the appeal, especially once the price is factored in. If we paid McDonald's prices, it would be moot. But for what we paid, this did not deliver. The burgers were very bland. I have been to several Five Guys prior to this one opening and I was thrilled to know that there would be one close to home. Needless to say after several visits in the two short months since they have opened lead me to give them a ZERO. they have gotten my order wrong three out of five times. Tonight led to the decision to not ever go back! The order taker does not listen and the cooks cannot read. My experience was good, the food was fair but very pricey for a fast food burger. The wait was a little long but they were fairly busy. I was surprised that for the two of us, it was $22+. The burger patties were juicy but bland, a little salt goes a long way. For 15 dollars I got a double bacon cheeseburger, small fries and a small drink. Way over priced for what you get. I can get the same thing(minus the bacon) at in and out for a third of the price. The only reason I give it 2 stars, is because the staff was very friendly. I won't be back. read more

Tried the new restaurant in Riverbank and I have to say the burgers are undoubtedly one of the best around. The line didn't bother me, because I figured it was worth the wait and it was! A very long wait on a Saturday early evening. Inside it was noisy, crowded, and a bit dirty. Probably to be expected since this was the first month they opened. The price was expensive compared to similar establishments but the food was excellent. Burger was great as were the fries. Topping selection is outstanding as well. However, the milkshakes ordered were given out when the order was placed and not made when the food was ready so by the time we got home the shakes had melted. Overall would return because I really liked the burger, especially when the novelty dies down and the lines shorten. read more
