Quality of food was good. Area was clean. Employee who took my order did well but the older employee who gave me my order was RUDE!!! I have travelled many places, different parts of the country, world, etc and the way things are done varies from place to place so when he called my number, I proceeded forward to the counter but asked him if he needed to take my receipt and his remark was "You know that's your number right?". Had a migraine from the huge rain storm today so we gave this place another shot. Staff was friendly - greeting us and taking our order. There was about five people working behind the counter. We ordered 3 burgers and one large fries, cost was a little over $40. Burgers were pretty good, one bacon double cheeseburger, one regular hamburger and one little bacon cheeseburger. They came as requested with the selected toppings. Place was empty when we arrived, probably from the storm... several patrons arrived after us. The AC is always nice & cold in here- the place looked clean but our table was a little sticky. The fries are usually some of my favorite but these were a little soggy - seems like most of them could have used a little longer in the fryer. So much for "cook to order", thus my burger and bun was not grill hot. Plenty of good fries though and the strawberry shake was great. Unique place to snack on unlimited salty in-shell peanuts (and take some to go which ends up being so much more yummier somehow) I like to walk around & look at the old posters/local newsletters and awards won by this location. Also the grilled mushrooms option & Cajun seasoned fries are hard to find anywhere else and just have a really unique & tasty flavor. You can also order your milkshake with bacon bits for those of you the like the sweet & savory options. There's something about bacon that no one can be mad about.. we put it on our donuts, with our bloody Mary's and in our sweet milkshakes! Just accept accept it! The only small downside is that the bottom bun starts to get a bit squishy if you don't eat up quickly. Tip, when traveling food to go, I leave the bag open, yea it makes my car smellier but if you don't it creates too much insulation and makes the fries soggier. 1 large fry is plenty enough to split between 2 people. Do better five guys. I walked in ordered, not too many people around (customers). And we waited for ever for the order. One burger one fry and shake. There were more than 5 guys worked. They were just making burgers and know fries were cooking just put out a bunch of burger let them sit for 10 minutes or more. Finally we started speaking up and someone decided to cook so fries. Still waited another 5 to 10 minutes. They finally started bagging orders with the cold burgers. Also please note it was really cold from the a/c. This location used to actually give you a true large fry, a cup of fries as well as almost a full scoop of fries as well, but the last 2 times I ordered from 5 Guys, they have been giving me less and less fries to the point that I might as well order a small fry instead. A cup of fries and a quarter of a scoop of fries when you as the customer can clearly see that they have batches and batches of fries ready to go, and you just give me a cup and a handful of fries for close to $6? I've never seen this type of skimpy behavior from 5 Guys, once In a while is okay, but twice in a row, shame on them. Nobody else in the store but me as well and when I asked for more fries than that, the young man just hands me the bag and walks into the back with his fellow employees. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Hire some better people. read more

I'm kind of surprised by some of the low ratings for this location, as I haven't had an issue either of the two times I've been here. I will say as a disclaimer that I have only ordered to-go, and have not dined in. Both times I've ordered on their website and both times our order has been correct, not to mention really tasty. I'm not a huge burger eater, so when I crave a cheeseburger, I want one that's good. Portions at Five Guys are large, so the regular size cheeseburger is a pretty big size. You can also scale it down to order one of the little sizes, if you prefer. I haven't had any issues with customer service, but I will say that on both occasions we placed an order to be ready at a specific time, and both times they were not ready when they were supposed to be. We ended up having to wait a bit longer than anticipated. My only other complaint is that both times when we have opened the bags of food, someone keeps putting a stack of napkins on top of the fries. We then end up with a greasy, unusable stack of napkins which is a waste. Paper napkins shouldn't be placed with items that aren't in some sort of container/wrapper, especially when they're extremely greasy! Not a huge deal, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Substantial At Five Guys regular sized items are substantial but they do offer little cheeseburgers and little fries to scale things down a bit. For my dinner tonight I had a cheeseburger all the way, a double patty high stack that was a mess by the time I got to the end. A delicious mess. The meat and cheese part was way good and that and all the other toppings inside wanted to slide out the first time I took a bite. The burger is served wrapped in foil, I never seem to remember to keep it in the foil and just fold back a little at a time. I was a fun burger to eat. I skipped the fries, knowing I could not do justice to the amount they would serve. The burger is a little more expensive than fast food fare, and it was ready a little slower as well. Made to order and it is worth it. If you are super hungry they have peanuts in the shell for snacking while you wait. My order taker seemed nice and the restaurant was clean and spacious. We've been going to this location in north port for 2 years now, and it seems that they're declining in quality. We called in for a pickup order, then a woman picked up and asked us to please hold, after 3 minutes of being on hold, we hung up. After calling back 2 times it seemed they weren't going to answer so now we had to go and wait in person, after parking I could see the inside and it was barely even full! Not enough to put an order on hold at least, so we go inside and make our order- 2 large fries, 1 medium, and 1 salted caramel milkshake with extra bacon (actually delicious), while waiting I scooped some peanuts and there was an excessive amount of cracked/broken shells, the peanuts did not taste good and looked even worse. We received our order in less than 6 minutes and in the car I noticed the milkshake didnt even have a hint of caramel or bacon, luckily after going back in and getting it re-made, it finally tasted like what I had heard (it was my first time trying it!), but the fries were unfortunately and surprisingly-not salty enough- so I had to add extra salt in and shake the bag when I realized they barely gave us extra fries! Fries where burnt today, countertops dirty, didnt look like anyone wiped tables down in hours, disappointing visit to say the least. We were there around 1pm on 6-17-2022, five people where on duty although looked like only the person putting together the buns was doing 80% of the work. The buy on the flat top was in the back most of the time, there was no one on fries, no one wiping down tables and where they put your back needed a serious cleaning. It was chilly and wet outside so it wasn't great there either. We noticed that others were eating in their parked cars. We were joined at our outside table by another couple. A member of our party complained to the apparent manager. The reply was that the temperature is set by corporate and can't be changed. The reply was not deemed to be credible. This location has issues. We ordered online for pickup. I went in and headed to the pickup window. It wasn't busy and there were three people working. All pointedly ignored me. I saw one person wrap up my burgers and toss them on the heat lamp shelf. I couldn't get her attention to get my food, even though I could plainly see they had no more than one or two orders working. I went over to wait in line at the register, and then asked the guy for my food. He was surly, to say the least. When I got to my car and opened the sandwich, it looked like it had been punched. The bun was flattened and most of the fillings were squished into the foil. It was disgusting. It's not like I was rude or had any real interaction with them, so I didn't expect my food to be so abused. We'll never go back to this location. Truly awful experience. Every time we come to this Five Guys, the customer service is terrible. If you get curbside pickup except to wait 30 to 40 minutes longer than they have said. This has happened every single time we have come here. Not only is the wait time bad but we can see the same guy working the cashier then the fries etc. with the same pair of gloves. My fiancé and I have been here twice in the last probably a year now. We will never be going again. The last two times, we've gotten food poisoning. Both of us. The worst thing is our order took nearly 20 minutes to cook and we had to small burgers and one small fry. There were two other family's (one of four and one of three) who came in after us so they weren't busy. They were fooling around behind the counter and talking and carrying on. The lady at the register acted like my fiancé and I were basically peasants when we were ordering giving us a disgusted look when my fiancé was putting toppings on his. And when he said everything except mustard and lettuce she asked him three more times and went through each ingredient as if he didn't say it already more than once. I asked if I could place a pick up order for later to which the associated said one second and I heard say fucking a in shock that I was placing an order. Cooks were standing around doing nothing. We ordered, anyway, and found out the reason. Our burgers (1 "little," 1 big) were both skimpy, skimpy, skimpy!!! $5 for a single patty burger that had to weigh less than 1/16th of a pound is a high price to pay, particularly when fries and drinks are extra. It appears that since Culver's opened a new restaurant down the road people are flocking there to get their money's worth. And we will be following them. Goodbye, Five Guys. NO, I AM DEFINITELY NOT A FAN!!!! My friend Janet was meeting me here for lunch and I was really anxious to try this place since I had read some great reviews. However, the first thing I asked if they made Very Rare Burgers, the answer was: "Sorry, ALL our burgers are well done!" Now that does not even make any sense, since they advertise that all their meat is fresh, never frozen, and patties handmade....so I don't get the reason why you should not be able to cook them as requested, right? I opted for a GRILLED CHEESE...another mistake. I have no idea what kind of bread they used, white...pressed hamburger bun, whatever it was, there was no taste, and the cheese was nothing to brag about either. Fries were good and I certainly have to agree that the portions are huge as far as the fries were concerned. Then to add insult to injury, I was told they had NO COFFEE!!!! Not much to dislike about this place. Amazing fries and lots of toppings for your burger. They rarely mess up your order. The only downside is that this particular one happens to get messy fast. when the lunch and dinner rushes hit. If seeing bits of peanut or straw wrappers on the floor really peeve you (the tables are always clean, though) then you might be a little upset at times. My wife & I had lunch today at Five Guys in Northport. This was only the second time we ever had Five Guys burgers. We had been so impressed with our first visit at an Ohio location that we were really looking forward to the meal. I ordrered a double patty bacon burger. My wife a single patty. Been here 5 times in the last few years. The first time was Fantastic, the next 3 were pretty good, but Last Sunday January 29th 2017 was Horrible! Their Burgers are not cheap as 2 burgers, and a Large Fry is $18.97. The meat was too well done and crunched! Had a very dry feel sort of like sand. I had all the topping except cheese. I could taste catsup, pickle, lettuce. The mushrooms are canned and have zero taste. The fry's were beyond golden Brown, and tasted as if burnt. It could have been old oil, almost rancid? I did send an email, and the Manager emailed me back. We had a conversation and he offered a free meal, but I suggested he give it to a homeless person as I won't be back.
