We went in just before four ( might be their shift change) and ordered 24 cheese burgers and eight fries. They didn't even bat an eye. Very professional and got going on our order right away. When it came time to leave they had everything packaged up perfect!! Everything one could ever want on their burger in to go side dishes. When we got back to the track to deliver the burgers to our group we could not have been happier!! Not one complaint. Everyone agreed, Very good burger!!!! Thank you to the staff!!! Finally a place that has better hours in Monroe. The servers are really cheerful and great, the sofa machine is pretty cool to play with, the roasted peanuts are a cool plus while you wait for your order, so these things above make for a good experience. The Monroe Five Guys is just like the one closest to our home in the Palm Springs, CA area. This place is famous because they make great food. They charge one price for a burger and let you choose your toppings. I typically get the the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, grilled onions and grilled shrooms. Another popular combo is to ditch the mayo, lettuce and tomato and get BBQ sauce for a more western experience. It has a backyard BBQ taste that I love. In Cali we have another popular chain called In N Out, which is the benchmark for a good fast food burger. Five Guys exceeds it for me because of the extra toppings. Tip: Don't order "everything on it" because the sauces will just overpower everything else... first time I came here I did that and was just flat out disappointed with the ketchup mustard bbq mayo burger.... read more

It started when we approached the counter to order and the employee behind the register was more interested in talking over us to the other employee out by the tables. Multiple times while I was trying to order he interrupted me to call out to another employee. Very rude!! We should have left then. As for the food, we couldn't believe 2 burgers a small fry and a shake cost over $24! The fries were tasty. The burgers were ok although my grilled onions were barely grilled and my husbands jalapeños were not spicy at all. The shake left a bad after taste. Maybe fake flavoring? We won't be going back. I'm a big big fan of Five Guys burgers. Normally, I go to the Northgate or Totem Lake branch on the way home to Monroe from Seattle. So, yeah, I would give those two stores both 5 stars. I was really happy to hear that Five Guys finally coming to Monroe so now I can eat here even more often. To be honest, the key to their successful burgers is on their patty and how well they cook it. However, this one in Monroe just opened a couple days ago. Maybe since it is still new, their chef is not quite there to that level yet. The patties are still too dry which take away the juicy flavor of the actual Five Guys burgers. I hope the owner takes this point into serious concern and find the way to improve it. So that Five Guys Burgers will maintain their standard quality. Well, I will come back again for sure. I will give them couple weeks before I come to try again to see if they fix this problem. Their fries are the best (especially the Cajun Fries). Worth every single penny :) Ps. What a great burger, and good fries too. Still, I wasn't happy to see the chef touching doors, counters , and his Nose with his hand without bothering to replace his plastic gloves which are no doubt in ample supply. I went the day of the grand opening, so the long wait was anticipated. I like the layout, which is very open with lots of tables. The food was not good. I ordered a burger and medium fries. The patty was bland, and the bun was soggy. The fries were beyond greasy, to the point of feeling wet, and were not crispy at all but also soggy. I think the oil used for the fries was either not hot enough or overused. The fries were cut thick, which I would have liked if they were cooked properly. Overall this is a good spot if you like greasy food, but I won't be going back. read more

Everyone should know about 5 Guys Burgers and Fries by now. To explain the concept would be as redundant as telling you about GEICO's 15 minutes thing! What you may not know, is that while a chain eatery, I have to give serious compliments to this outlet for getting the food AND the service right. I'm not sure how they do it, but should be congratulated for it. While most of the other 5GB&Fs in the Seattle area hover in the 3 Star range on Yelp, these folks are closer to 5. I don't know what was in them, but three burgers for the three humans and a plain burger for the dog, and the gas is off the charts! We visited 5 guys for 5 burgers tonight for a family dinner - just after the races ended... We were all hungry and looking forward to a great meal. To start off we tried the peanuts but several of them tasted stale - not fresh. We have visited this location before (and the Bothell and Lynnwood locations) and had a good experience, but tonight the fries were soggy and way to salty, 2 out of the 5 burgers were made wrong, and the cheese sandwich was... the most over priced sandwich! It was over $4 for a bun with cheese on it - toasted... that's it. We spent $38, but we should have gone elsewhere. Sad... I have always loved 5 guys, not sure what happened tonight... Went with my family to eat here tonight. Not only did they short us one burger, when they did finally get us our full order my friend pointed out that there was something melted in the cheese of my burger. It was tin foil. I have never found foreign objects in my food made by any restaurant until tonight. Food was up fast and they are open till 10 so stop by after your movie or before. I recommend the grilled cheese with a burger patty! It's the best patty melt around! The staff was friendly. Good food but inconsistent service and quantities. Sometimes the service is great, but for the most part it's just kind of mediocre. Once they have your order it's often difficult to get their attention even for something as simple as a cup for water. Fry quantity seems to be all over the place... sometimes it's just the fries in the cup, sometimes they toss in a few bag fries, sometimes they add in the extra scoop of fries like the other stores do. If I'm going to pay nearly $40 for two burgers, two fries, and two shakes I expect a little consistency... and some dang bag fries would be nice too... The past two visits were not up to our expectations. Both times we did not get the amount of fries we were used to. It seems like business costs have risen, so we dont get the normal army amount. When ya need a burger, and you want it pretty fast, this place really hits the spot. Their "regular" burger is a double pattied delight, built to your specifications w/ as many toppings as you can handle. The hand cut fries are the stuff of legend, having grown up w/ real fries, these are as close as they come. Even the source of the spuds is listed on the wall. My only gripe is the price. $6+ for a burger is a little steep, but given that I thought their regular was just one patty, I am reserving judgement too much on the price. My husband and I ordered one regular cup of fries and it was more than enough for the two of us to share. We didn't order drinks, so we were only given 6 ounce plastic cups for water. I wish they offered milkshakes...and I don't understand the whole peanut thing, but given they offer them, I will say we didn't find offensive piles of shells on the floor, so at least they are quick to clean up the messes left behind by their peanut loving clientele. I guess this is a long standing tradition of their business-free peanuts while you wait, but don't leave the store with them. And anyone with peanut allergies should be aware of this as well as the fact that they use peanut oil. Probably the best chain burger around. Hot, fresh and still pretty quick. I typically go with the bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos, grilled onions and mushrooms (plus lettuce and tomato and mayo, cuz toppings are free and I am all over that) if I am really hungry because it comes with a double patty. But sometimes if I can't manage to jack my mouth open that far, I go with the single-patty "mini". Gotta have the natural cut (skin on) fries seasoned Cajun style because they are awesome when fresh and hot. Burgers are juicy, veggies and bacon crisp and patties have just a hint of pink. Done the way i like it and good luck getting the fries home before most of them are gone. Get the large size if you love crisp, slightly-spicy fries, no matter which size burger you get. Not cheap but really good for about double the price of the fast-food chains. This site has plenty of free parking and wait times are minimal. Oh and the peanuts are a nice nosh before burger nirvana hits. Get your burger fix here. read more
