I love the burgers here and the customer service. The manager is professional. On 11/04/17 I had ordered through their FiveGuys app and it had frozen on the "Processing Order" part. I saw that my credit card was charged but the app was not responding. I came up to the counter and explained to them that I wasn't sure if the order went through. My first time visiting this location. Upon walking in, first thing I noticed was a giant hickey on one the associates neck, which looked disgusting and unprofessional. Another girl took are order. She was friendly, but unprofessional, she was yawning while taking our order. Last thing that really set me over the edge was I noticed the associate touch her face and then continued to prep the food after touching her face and not washing her hands or changing her gloves. The food is ok! I really like their fries. But super overpriced! 2 single patty burgers, 1 fry, 2 drinks was 27 bucks! The quality of the meat seems the same as McDonald's. for that price I was expecting way better quality of meat. I would have to say In-n-Out Burger is 10000 times better. Since they have opened, they have really improved their processes and the burgers are great! My husband and I each had a cheeseburger with a lettuce wrap with all the fixins and split fries. The burgers were juicy and had no issues with the fries. read more

I'm giving 5 stars because the staff is always kind, even when they are slammed, and when they make a mistake (as they did on my daughter's last order) they fix it right away with a smile and an apology. This is probably my 4th or 5th time here at this Five Guys. They have sure drastically improve. The staff has a great attitude towards their customers. I've always wanted to try Five Guys because every city had one but Manteca and I had heard good things. Well, I went 5 days after it opened and I was highly impressed. I've worked in restaurants and I know the first few weeks, even months, are a learning time and many mistakes happen. It was a busy weekend with lots of kids from Big League Dreams but everything was awesome. Service was great, place was clean, kitchen seemed to be running efficiently and the food was outstanding. First time to five guys, the staff were all very friendly and seemed like they communicate well with each other about guests walking in to make sure people are being acknowledged or welcomed. Food is good but I've gone to this location several times and they always skimp on the fries. I've been to other 5 Guys where a regular fry is always larger than a large is at the Manteca location. Also, the quality of service at the point-of-sale has regularly been lacking. There are many 5 Guys where the employees are having fun and that makes for a great experience for the customers. This place creates something of a conflict in me. On one hand, their service is very good... on the other hand, their cleanliness leaves something to be desired. On one hand, their burgers are excellent and a lot of love and care are given to make them... on the other hand, their fries are horrible and WAY WAY WAY WAAAAAYYYYY too salty (dear God, I think they dump half a can of salt on each batch... they're inedible, literally inedible! The last time I went, I ordered the fries with 1/4 salt... they're better that way, but still badly over-salted, that's how over-salted their standard fries are!). Their location is in the Costco shopping area, but they're tucked into the least accessible place you can find. It takes time to make a great burger, and I get that, but they take a REALLY long time to make their food... I've had sit-down service at Chili's or Red Robin that took a shorter time. It's great on one hand, and awful on the other. If you're going to go, order your burger to go, don't be in a hurry, and skip the fries entirely. Do that, and you'll have a good experience. But if you're rushed or impatient, you decide to eat in-house, and you order the fries.... you're on your own. read more

When my Boyfriend and I find ourselves in Manteca, we always make Five Guys a stop. This past week we went in and we are always greeted with positive energy from the staff and a clean environment. Which is very reassuring coming out of a pandemic. I always enter this establishment seeing at least 1 member cleaning/sanitizing the counters, tables, etc. However, I absolutely adore the Manager Molly. She makes the process of ordering food more fun. Also if you are a regular or time permits she takes the time ask you questions about how you are doing or she will share with you about things going on at five guys in Manteca. In fact on my last visit I discovered from the manager that the girl cooking my fries I had ordered was NEW! And I am pleased to say for being a new employee she made them perfectly! The 5 guy staff time after time again continues to deliver a perfect burger and/or hotdog (if you are my boyfriend). Definitely WILL visit again! read more

Omg !!! I'm in love ! Completely in love with these deliiiish double cheese burgers !!! I came into this location for the first time out of state from Ohio and never ate at 5 guys before. My buddy Marc brought me up here at this location and I was met with sincere simplicity and gratitude added with abundant respect by the staff that works here !!! I met Larry at the register and with me being from Ohio I'm so used to the cash register people back east just staring at you with a real swift simple stare and that straight forward question like "What Chu Want"? Lol but not here at 5 guys here out west ! The register guy named Larry was amazing and extremely friendly and professional ! Larry read the menu off to me like he was the chef himself ! Larry thanks for your polite attitude and pro status knowledge of helping me know exactly what the menu consists of and how many patties come with each burger ! You rock dude !! Mayla was hard at work she takes a lot of pride in every step she takes around this place here, she made sure that the place was spotless when I walked in here I was like wow this place is extremely clean !!! I wanted to give this more starts like a 7 out of 10. I thought it was pretty expensive for what it was. Other than bacon and guacamole you could basically get the same burger at In&Out across the block. There was nothing special about the beef, nor home made bread buns. The garlic fires were a slight bit undercooked as well. However, the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The establishment was very clean as well. They also sell beers. So, I would absolutely recommend eating here, but for an special occasion. read more

Just came to Five guys for the first time and I wasn't impressed. There was no line which was nice so ordering was a breeze. However, when ordering, you're ordering everything separately. For 2 cheeseburgers, 2 regular fries, and 1 bottle of water it was about $29. The wait was about 15/20 minutes for our food. The buns completely broke apart with every bite I tried to take. The burgers are just above average they are pretty fast as far as burger places go. The prices are kind of high though. For a few dollars more (literally very little more) you could go to Red Robin. I will go again but I don't think this place lives up to the hype. read more
