Food here is always good and most of the people complaining are just jaded in my opinion. That being said their temp hours are pretty bad. I try to be understanding about hours with the pandemic coming to an end but generally speaking if I'm seeking out food like this it's because it has gotten late and I don't have the energy to cook so an 8:00 closing is pretty inconvenient timing. I finally took the plunge and tried President Obama's favorite burger place- Five Guys. The burger was indeed delish, the bun was the softest ever, and the staff, even right at closing was chipper, chipper, chipper! Enjoyed it! It wasn't my Whataburger, and a burger and fries with NO drink cost $10 (dang!), but hey, it was GOOD, it's right in my neighborhood, and I can see that I'll be a regular. Their jalapenos didn't seem to be hot. Guess I'll ask for extra next time on my cheeseburger. read more

I am glad that this location finally figured out that I don't need a full pound of french fries in my bag. Now, if I could get them to understand how to make the fries crispy. However, that's my only gripe with five guys. Granted, the "and Fries" is technically half of what their name suggests, I like the place more than 50% - if that makes any sense. The team always seems enthusiastic and only on the edge of silly; peering over. I order without the bun due to my wheat allergy, but I am grateful that the dedicated friers let me have my french fries - very few places can actually make this distinction. Aside from the horrendous parking, this location is very fast for how busy it gets, and has excellent food. I am not too fond of fast food burgers, but these are like grilling them yourself at home, just better! The fries are great, and the peanuts in the shell are a fun touch while you're waiting for your burger (which is made when you order it). Its the kind of burger that kick boxes your taste buds and leaves you begging for more. I can not wait to go back for round 2 Added to it the peanuts as snacks, the unlimited amounts of non-adult beverages, including my favorite cherry flavored water was great. Hearing about this place, I was excited to try them. My wife, son and I went here not knowing what to expect. We walk in and posted on the white walls are large signs with boasts of how much of a bargain they are and how they have the best burgers. There are also postings from different magazines and papers about how great it is. We go up to order and our cashier is pretty nice, she made eye contact and smiled at us. We all order and it comes to $28. 3 burgers, 1 fry, 1 bacon dog, 2 reg drinks and 1 large. Bargain?? We go and get our drinks and then sit...waiting for them to call our number. After a while, they yell out our number...then yell it out again before I can get up to the counter. Everything was fresh and hot, the fries were good (freshly made in the store). I have heard a lot of people rave about this place but in reality....the burgers remind me of what Wendy's, Steak N Shake and Whataburger use. There was nothing really special about this place except that you could get so many different items on your burger or hot dog. I will probably not go back but if you want fresh hamburgers and fries then this is one place to go. I will say that everyone we came in contact with was friendly. Having an awesome burger at lunch by myself, no babies. Stay at home mommyhood is all over.. Sadface:( but it was an awesome 2 years. Anyway, back to the food. Nice freshly made burgers, fresh toppings, good potatoes with their location of origin posted on the wall. But my favorite part of this experience is the excellent service and clean surroundings. I was greeted when I entered, served promptly, and checked on as I was eating. And this store is spotless, I wouldn't be mad if something fell out of my bag and hit the floor. That's a good feeling. The food is always great. Although this review is more for their online order service. What is the point of ordering online and receiving a pick up time if I always have to wait 10 minutes for my food to cook. I have a short lunch and I eat slow. While I appreciate them waiting to cook my fries because they want me to get hot fries I don't have time to wait. And the employees never apologize for the wait. Great burgers in Kennesaw. Two drawbacks. One is endemic to the FGBF process. Each burger is made to order, so this is not really fast, fast food. The second drawback is the parking at this location. I've made several orders and they NEVER get the order correct. A few of the employees are rude, the last time we went in the employees were having an inappropriate conversation. My advice don't take your kids in or watch the conversation and double check your order. As for me, I've had enough. There are too many restaurants in Kennesaw to have to deal with bad service. My husband and I have tried Five Guys in a couple of different locations out of state. And this place is consistently solid. Like a previous Yelper suggested, order half of what you think you can eat. A "little" hamburger all the way is substantial, get a "regular" one with double the patties, you're almost asking for a heart attack...just sayin'. Not a cheap burger joint but you get what you pay for. If you only like ketchup on you burger move along. Tasty burger made to order with fresh ingredients. Fresh cut fries fried in peanut oil, yum! This is my go-to burger joint for sure. Clean with a friendly staff. The place gets packed during peak lunch but they keep it moving. I get my double cheese with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, pickles, jalapenos, mustard, ketchup and mayo on the side. The small fries can feed 3 (IMO), take out the cup filled with fries and there is another serving in the bag. Two burgers (one was a double), small fries and 2 drinks ~$16. Two value meals at the golden arches would run you ~$12. I'll take 5 Guys any day of the week. I suggest going with at least 1 other person to defray the cost/calories of the small fries. read more

I went to this place recently with my husband hoping I would finally get to taste that BURGER everybody is talking about but my frown turned up side down :( ! You make your own burger , which I DID, but I suppose I made it super simple...They did not put in the EXTRA cheese I requested TWICE and the burgers were kind of cold. The fries was not even cooked good ! Only thing I liked was the location (because its close to home) and the peanuts you can serve yourself while you are waiting. and of course the refill drinks. I guess I can cross the location part out since I won't be going there no more.
