Five guys: pretty much the same experience at every restaurant; so consistency is definitely an important facet of their business model, which would explain why they keep growing as a chain nationwide. Easy ordering and good service. Burgers are cooked to order, so not quick, but that's great considering it's YOUR burger getting cooked on the grill. The stores all look the same, stacked boxes of peanuts, potatoes and oil along with the white and red ceramic tile. You definitely know you're in 5 guys based on the decor and you the sounds coming from the kitchen. $18 for a burger and fries is a little steep, but you do get free peanuts. Minus one star for not being a great value.

I had a burger craving and Jackson House was not open. This was a tasty burger with cheese and mushrooms that was cooked well and not overcooked. The fries were delicious as well...not too greasy or overly salty.

So good , burgers were the best.

I went with my grannies , burgers were so good. Thank you so much. Gloria Lopez from Maryland.

Not to be dramatic, but on the way back, we were passing the Big Ray's--so hey, fate brought us on Big Ray's path, and thus we did proceed. So I gotta say: this is not a corporate burger joint. This is not your Shake Yak. This is not McDonald's. This is not Five Guys. And no disrespect to any of those establishments. They hold their piece of the market. But this is pre-smash-burger goodness. This is au naturel. Fresh-cut fries. No touchpad ordering POS BS. Pictures of personified milkshakes, sodas, and fries with eyes. Old-fashioned sesame-seed buns. This place looks like it's straight out of the '50s, and I understand why my grandmother loves it. She also loves it because she only eats burgers. But this was a 10 out of 10 experience. 10 out of 10 flavor. 10 out of 10 soul. The service was 10 out of 10. Actually, screw it This was 100 out of 10. A 100 out of 10. Go to Big Ray's. We stopped in for lunch and went straight for their grilled footlong hot dog with fresh-cut fries, plus a pack of snack sticks from the butcher shop. Calling it a "hot dog" doesn't do it justice--this thing is a perfectly spiced, seasoned sausage, and it's enormous. It comes tucked into a super soft, fluffy roll, and we topped ours with Schmidt's homemade sauerkraut and mustard. Watching (and smelling) it sizzle on the flat-top grill right in front of us made the whole experience even better. The fresh-cut fries were spot on--especially with plenty of malt vinegar available (thank you, Schmidt's!). The whole meal could easily satisfy two hungry adults. Beyond lunch, Schmidt's has so much to offer--Wednesday Night Dinners with homestyle favorites, Friday & Saturday lunch specials (like their signature footlong sausage sandwich, brisket, smash burgers, and more), and of course their incredible butcher shop with sausages, bacon, sauerkraut, and seasonal treats. PRO TIP: Don't just wander in and hope for the best. Schmidt's keeps things interesting with their Wednesday Night Dinners and Friday & Saturday Lunch Specials, but the only way to know what's cooking is to stalk their Facebook page... unless you like living dangerously and showing up to be surprised. Either way, you're winning! This isn't just a place to stop if you're nearby--it's a weekend lunchtime destination worth planning around. Schmidt's has earned a permanent spot on my go-to list!

The service was friendly and it being a locally owned small business was a huge plus. They take card and cash which was also nice. The hot dogs were fantastic and huge. I assumed I would eat 2 but only made it through 1.5 before getting full. We tried the Daredevil Dog which had the jalapeños and was good. The Sleepy Creek Slaw Dog had a really good chili and the coleslaw wasn't watery or soggy so it added a nice crunch. My favorite of the three we tried. The last was the New York dog which I did with sauerkraut and it was solid, not quite like the dog in manhattan which go heavier on the onion sauce but still very nice. The sweets were also really really good. We got two brownies which got devoured. The Dubai Sunday was very nice and they didn't skimp on the pistachio sauce. The Samoa sundae was also very good. All in all, we both really enjoyed this place and will be back. The food is affordable and tasty and the service is friendly.

The venue can be overwhelming, with lots of choices. One section of the menu was dedicated to hotdogs, one section is dedicated to non-hotdog entrées, and also Appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The dogs here are amazing! I loved the Chicago dog, but when I had my a bite of the Big Mac dog I wished I got that one too. Then we had the pastrami dog making it a three dog night. The fries are also especially delicious because they are crunchy and battered. My little one had a kids meal that came with fries and he was forced to share. With any hotdog, you get your choice of beef,/chicken, or veggie. We went beef all the way, and it was a great choice. The dogs are split and grilled on a flat top, and maintain all of their juicy goodness. And the toppings just enhanced everything. If you're a hotdog purist, ketchup and relish or mustard and onions would also make for perfect dogs. The staff was friendly and super accommodating to a feral toddler. For three hotdogs, a kids meal, I need rings, and drinks, the $40 price felt like a bargain. Great quality and value.

He ate like nothing bc he drank his whole drink while we were waiting as we had been at the park for a couple of hours beforehand. I know, not unusual for a little guy. That's not the real problem. I got a side of onion rings and it was almost $5 for like 6 onion rings. Ketchup in little packets... not cost efficient and annoying for us. Had to track down waitress to get husband a second beer and me a first. There was no air conditioning and it was so hot in there!! AND THE WORST THING OF ALL... WHEN THE BILL CAME THERE WAS A 20% INCLUDED GRATUITY FOR "LARGE PARTY", which was not discussed. First of all, it was 4 ppl. That is not a large party. Second of all, this was not mentioned by staff. I see this sometimes with a group of 8 or more and it is usually noted in a menu somewhere or mentioned. But 4 people is not a large party. My husband and I both worked in the restsurant industry in our younger years. We get it, servers need to be taken care of, but come on. BEWARE. I would have gone back for that hot dog even with the sloooowww service and just not gotten a side, but that automatic gratuity thing is ridiculous. Customer lost.

The total came to $14.79, which is an awesome lunchtime bargain. I honestly can't remember the last time I fed two people lunch for under $15. Major budget win. It had been 15+ years since my last chili dog from Jimmy's, so while running post-Christmas errands and finding ourselves nearby with no real timeline, we jumped on the opportunity. Things have definitely changed since my last visit. It's clear Jimmy's has dealt with some difficult customers over the years--numerous signs now ask folks to grab their food and head out. No eating inside, no public restrooms, and no replacing lost, stolen, or forgotten beverages or chips "due to a high rise in thefts and customer walk-outs." Back in the day, I remember a packed counter with customers chatting and eating. That era may be gone--but thankfully, the food hasn't changed where it matters most. My love for Jimmy's chili cheese dog remains completely intact. It's not the hot dog or the bun doing the heavy lifting here: simple white bun, basic hot dog, lots of onions and mustard. No, it's *that chili*. Good lawd, that chili. I don't know what magic is in it--maybe the greasy orange residue it leaves behind--but one bite instantly reminded me why Jimmy's holds such a special place in my heart. I demolished the entire thing in seconds, with only audible moans to signal that I had not, in fact, been transported to actual Food Heaven. The fries were a solid supporting act--thick-cut potatoes, perfectly fried, piping hot. They came unsalted, but salt packets were thoughtfully included in the to-go bag, so no real issue there. The portion size was bigger than expected for the price. The hot sausage with cheese was another win: perfectly grilled, slightly charred, and just spicy enough to satisfy. Served on the same basic white bun with American cheese, it was simple, classic, and done right. Plenty of free, on-site parking is available right out front since Jimmy's is located in a strip mall. Be sure to check the hours--6am to 4pm most days. Jimmy's won't satisfy a dinner chili dog craving, but it will absolutely fill your belly at lunchtime and leave you wanting more!
