This individual 5 guys is run like a bad joke. 15 minutes for one over priced over cooked burger and fries. While there are 6 "employees" acting like they are busy in plain view. Yet the place had only 2 other customers who were searching for a clean table as well. And I'm not talking about some peanut dust, I'm talking ketchup, mustard, dirty napkins, trays and grease of various amounts on various tables. While the good ol' boys in the back are having a good time chatting, I'm cleaning a table for my 3 boys to sit down. Not to mention, the bathroom we washed up in was disgusting, urine and toilet paper all over the floor, etc. As a former cook/wannabe chef and deli manager, this place is completely unmanaged and should be shut down till someone competent can run it. I can only assume that Doylestown food inspectors are on the take like most of the Bucks County Sheriffs, police, cps, district attorneys and judges that roam around getting "freebies" "comps" and "donations." (Ya think the 8 Phila Traffic Judges who were found guilty being on the take were corrupt, bucks is 10x worse). The only good thing were the fries and the soda machine. As for the chain itself, the burgers flat out stink. Too small, always over cooked, poor rolls, certainly over priced, and usually take too long for a fast food burger place. especially considering how small the meat patty is to begin with. Cooking time should be under 3 minutes. Topping selection is good but not worth the $4 that is built into the overall price. read more

Best french fries since Thrasher's in Ocean City, MD (in fact they also use peanut oil, idaho potatoes, and they leave the skins on and provide plenty of vinegar); however... The place is SO cold during winter because the cooks are sweltering hot cooking all those fries in the peanut oil, which leaves the patrons shivering next to the giant floor to cieling windows. They either have to roast their cooks, or continue to free their patrons. The cold inside makes eating the fries stink, as they get cold too quick and you feel pressured to eat them fast before they get cold-- cold french fries are the worst. Burgers are just ok, but I don't like well-done which ALL their burgers are. For well done they are pretty good, but I seriously don't like well done no matter how good the burgers are. I would come back here if the place wasn't freezing, just for the fries alone. Maybe in spring and fall I'll come back. As for summer, I'm going to guess it's as bad as winter, as they probably crank the AC to save the cooks too. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is good burgers which is I guess what's important but the atmosphere sucks, the place is dirty, pick up is so disorganized with the person on the register also on the phone....oh and it's a joke trying to even order on the phine!! They pock up and tell you to hold , leaving phone on the counter and never coming back on. You hang up and keep trying to call back and it's busy. I NEVER go here anymore. read more

Very good burgers. Friendly service. You get a LOT of fries so one order is enough to share. Burgers ARE messy but it's the taste that counts. I've eaten at a few 5 Guys and the Doylestown location seems to be very similar to the others. If you've never eaten at a 5 Guys it's worth the trip. read more

I am a frequent Doylestown Five Guys customer and have yet to have a poor experience. My family and I cannot escape our cravings for those delectable burgers! and we appreciate the overload of fries. There is no place that has anything like Five Guys' burgers and fries. The negative comments I have seen are unbelievable. We always get excellent service each time we decide to splurge and get those delicious burgers. Our food is ready within reasonable time, no matter how long that line can be. The staff is friendly and really seem to enjoy working together. The tables are almost always spotless, along with the floors. Greasy as their food can be, they do a great job. Better than most quick food spots in this town.. and they actually keep a clean, usable restroom. Also, since they have a lot of available seating, we are always happy to find a table near those free peanuts! I give those boys credit for keeping up with the piles of peanut shells leftover from messy kids(like mine).. Even though they can be a bit pricey, the food is worth it-and their new soda machine has my kids obsessed. They return to the table with free refills of vanilla root beer, cherry fanta, and continuous concoctions from that machine. I highly recommend my home-town Five Guys, we can't get enough of it. read more

Went here when they opened and thought it was disgusting....late one night a few weeks ago tried it again because husband told me they were "under new management". Have to say was really good. Kids love bacon cheeseburger. Kids ask for Five Guys often but have to limit how often we go there because is definitely very bad for you... read more
