Yes, I like peanuts. So when they crank your custom made-to-order burger out too soon, you don't get many peanuts. But then they load. You up with those fresh made Idaho spud French fries - as many in the bag as in the carton. Their burgers are delicious and the fixings you can add like grilled onions and fresh jalapeños make this one of a kind. I used to order the "big" burger - but the smaller one is cheaper and fills me up - backed by the fries and, yes, the peanuts. The high-tech Coke machine likes to quit under pressure and makes getting a cold beverage a challenge with so many choices. I had to get a five year old to show this old bird how to work it. Here you get an expensive burger or hot dog. It's good and a level up from #1 fast burger chains. Spend more but get more. The meat is fresh and not overly greasy. I like this location 1. They have the most awesome soda fountain on earth, it's like iPhone gone soda fountain with each soda being its own app 2. The staff is always really friendly 3. The food makes a bad day seem insignificant 3 good things warrants three solid stars. I will say, while the food makes you feel good about yourself, it's not the best burger on the planet BUT they load you up with fries and that is enough for me to forget about an average tasting hamburger. My favorite burger. I used to go Suwanee Five guys. This place also is great. I personally like the Five Guys burgers. It is little juicy, but tender beef, and salty peanut is delicious. I can choose menus and vegetables. Burger is large, and even smaller size fits my stomach. I recommend this place for casual dining out. read more

This place is pretty good. The guy taking my order was nice and explained how ordering a burger there works with size, toppings, etc. Never been here before, so it helped. The burgers were kinda soggy from the ride home, but were still good. This place seems like it would be better to eat in than taking it home. It wasnt very full when I was in there, but I can imagine it gets packed at lunch time. Burger tasted great. Im not a big fast food guy, but I can get behind this. Five Guys is your standard burger joint. Everything is ground and grilled fresh, and they dont bother with ridiculous and complicated toppings. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. In my opinion there are a few too many "craft" burger places, its nice to see a simple burger done right. If you are allergic to peanuts I would steer clear. Fries a fried in peanut oil and there is a crate of roasted peanuts for customers to snack on while they wait which means that there is peanut on everything. read more

I almost broke my rule and gave this chain 5 stars. Finally something that is the exactly the same as it was in DC. Here's the deal I went to Marymount University and the ORIGINAL VERY FIRST Five Guys was the spot to go to if you went to Marymount. Imagine my surprise when I woke up one day and literally found them on every corner. They are taking over the world one location at a time. You know what I am cool with that. Their burgers are amazing and taste the exact same way they did when there were only two locations in the Northern Virginia area. This is my absolute favorite place to get a no frills cheeseburger. What I like the most is they have a fabulous selection of standard and not so standard toppings and all are included in the price. You want mushrooms no problem. Everything is super fresh and made right when you order it. When you order your burger is when they start cooking it. Don't even get me started on the fries. Vinegar and ketchup and it's over. I can eat an entire regular order (it is meant for two) of fries and my little cheeseburger no problem. I just regret it later when I jump on the scale. The one thing I forgot to mention about this particular location is that they have this super cool futuristic soda fountain. It is all touch screen and the wave of the future. It is pretty cool but as long as the burgers keep tasting the way they always have I could care less if they handed me a can of soda. read more

I've been here multiple times. Usually pretty consistent. I would not recommend ordering online. I made an online order, arrived 15 minutes later and waited 20 minutes in the restaurant. Not only did it take forever and was not busy, they gave me the wrong order. No one said anything to me, no one apologized. Would not order online again ever. read more

They do a lot of things well at this location. The burger is what brought me here, Five Guys is one of my favorites. The experience will be bring me here again instead of the one an exit farther. I walked in to a big hello and a bright smile. Everyone was friendly. It is a small space and was pretty crowded at lunchtime. Probably one of my favorite burger places, and one which never disappoints. Crispy fries, fresh ingredients, and sizzling burgers are what make this place great. Not to mention that the milkshakes are to die for. The real uniqueness of this place lies in its toppings. All the toppings are free, and you can use any of them in whatever way you want. The number of potential combinations with your burgers, hot dogs, etc is unparalleled. They also have gluten free, keto friendly options available upon request. Pretty much anything can be custom ordered so that the meal is tailored to your tastes. Want your fries with no salt? They'll handle it. Want your patty well done? They'll handle it. The fries are another story. Not only do they taste great, but the quantity is really something else! I've never had an instance where I felt like I didn't get enough fries. In fact, I usually feel like they gave me too much! The food is pricey, but the VERY high quality of the ingredients, and the dedication of the restaurant to staying true to their 1980s style burger cooking, makes it well worth it. Five guys is the first burger that I have ever fell in love with. I am trying to keto so I decided to order the bacon cheeseburger without the bun. I never thought I would ever be able to eat a burger with no bun. The served it on a bed of lettuce. The heat from the burger made the lettuce wilt so I left the lettuce alone. The burger was still good without the bun so for me it is possible to eat a burger without the bun. YAY!!!! read more

The restaurant has an over abundance of potato sacks to remind the customer that their fries are home-made. I am glad however, that we're spared boxes of hamburger meat sitting in the dining area. I am interested but my enthusiasm dies down. The staff is indifferent but not rude. The music is slightly loud for my tastes. They throw a greasy, pan-fried cheeseburger into the bottom of a brown paper bag and fill the rest of it with an overwhelming amount of extremely hot, fried home-made peeled potatoes. They are very generous but that's where the fun stops. The burgers and fries cost a few pennies short of $20 for two orders. My son and I like to eat our burgers before the fries. Both of us receive almost 2nd degree burns trying to move the fries around to get at the burgers in the sacks. You get the usual lettuce, pickle, tomato and condiments. The burger itself is flavourless and the fries are too. The experience is not satisfying. If you're a young person and like a lot of food, you will like their burgers; they are rather large. If someone else foots the bill, you might offer up a three-star rating, otherwise you may only give it two stars. For the more mature, it is good for that once-in-a-blue-moon artery-clogging hamburger but nothing more. If this is the case however, I'd get the burger and skip the fries. I have no idea why these franchises are so popular and I do wonder why places like this and Hardees are not more vilified than McDonald's for their unhealthy fare. No one gets a burger for healthy eating, that's for sure but I do expect a burger to be very good and at least grilled if I'm going to indulge. Five Guys is simply not the place to go for it. For my money, I'd rather go to Backyard Burgers or even Burger King. read more

I dined here last night in celebration of a friend who had gotten a new job. We were both craving burgers and he suggested 5 Guys even though he warned "it's kinda pricey." We arrived and I told the guy behind the counter (I can't recall his name but he's from Louisiana) that I had never dined there and he broke it down in superb fashion and even offered a recommendation. I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger (dressed with his recommendation) along with cajun fries. Let me tell you something... THIS BURGER AND FRIES COMBO WAS SO FREAKIN' GOOD! I'm a fan of the double bacon cheeseburger with all the toppings, including grilled onions and mushrooms. I take the fries with the malt vinegar. Over all, it's a great little burger joint and you never leave hungry with the bag full of fries. The fountain drink dispenser is entertaining with all the flavors you can add to your beverage. Whoa, YUM! Bring your appetite b/c you are going to get FULL! Regular burger is 2 delicious patties - bring a friend to share the fries. They won me over when I found the Malt Vinegar to douse my fries in. This is just really good, no frills, good food. PLUS, they have the Coke Freestyle machine, so you can get like a bazillion drink combos. The only downside is parking (more spaces in the back), but we always go to beat the lunch crowd, so that's not an issue. A complete (but well worth it) diet buster.
