Back when we were out cruising around the backroads of Fairfax County and beyond in the late 1970s and early 1980s - Pangle's was there - we'd stop in for sodas and junk food. You can buy coffee, soda, bottled water, all the normal convenience store/small grocery store wares, plus - they still sell nightcrawlers and minnows for bait fishing! I stopped here this morning on a whim, a stroll down memory lane. The place is hard to get into - there is not much in the way of parking, and the pull off on the opposite side of Gum Spring Road - which is where folks used to park - was badly eroded by that last massive rain event we had - to the point that the side of the road is now a gully! I got myself a strong cup O' Joe - and I was going to buy a hot sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich - but for some strange reason - at 9:00 am all they had were cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches.

October 8, 2023…read more Transaction number 8233 I normally wouldn't email the CEO of a company on a Sunday but I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the following store number: 81375 I bought a storage container and when I got home immediately noticed there was a crack and brought it back for an exchange the same day. An African American woman named according to her Bran working on 10/8/23 at 2:17 pm rudely interrupted my transaction to tell me that she couldn't return it because I hadn't been broken when I left. She didn't handle my first transaction nor I had I ever seen or spoken to her before. But she proceeded to call me dishonest over something I simply hadn't noticed. I was not asking for a refund but simply an exchange as I needed the item. I shop here all the time and she was so rude and unprofessional that even the sales girl apologized for her behavior. But the sticking point for me was her calling me a dishonest person. Even if she said, the policy was to not accept returns it would have been handled better. I have never been treated so poorly in a store publicly. She eventually let the sales professional handle it but it was extremely unpleasant. Sent to CEO regarding this experience

The OGs are still around, such as Walmart, ABC, Ulta, Ross, Dunkin, etc. There is now a new entrance from Rte 50 to Arcola Blvd, also leading up to a new neighborhood that recently opened up, in addition to the current entrance from Loudoun County Parkway. The suitcases were all neatly organized, all the matching sets were placed together, all the carry-ons in one location, etc. The purses were a little cluttered, but were grouped (for the most part) by color and separated from the high-end brands. There was a very long line for checkout, which was fine, because we were able to entertain ourselves with all the items on the shelves along the way. They have a lot of Halloween and Fall themed items, accessories, decoration on the shelves now.

I went about the home goods section and had my hands full which made me happy. I ended up browsing in this store for more time than I thought I had. It wasn't all that bad, I came out with a lot of items that I am still using today. This is where I got my start with food storage items and it just grew from there. Employees inside were pleasant. I bet they were happy that they weren't banished to the lot like their coworker. Pleasantries were exchanged while checking out which made for a better experience.

I made my way to the home goods section to browse through the numerous kitchen gadgets, storage containers, and mismatched items we have all become accustomed to when in one of these stores. I may have said this in a prior review for one of their locations, but it is hit or miss when browsing. You are not guaranteed to find anything, but you may find many things that you don't necessarily need, but could find a good use for. I was on the hunt for food storage containers. I'm trying to optimize my space that I have and get rid of temporary containers (i.e., boxes, bags, etc.). Unfortunately, I did not have much luck in here that day for finding food storage. I did end up walking out with a few items that made no sense to buy at one time. It wasn't a huge bag, but I did have a few items. Overall, it felt a little under stocked. Some of the shelves were a bit sparse. No real organization, items in the wrong general area, and an absence of employees on the floor, other than those working the registers.

You go in, get your stuff and leave…read more Their prices are not much lower than Target, maybe by $0.04-0.05, but most people I know prefer to avoid Walmart in general. I like this location better than the other ones in the area as it is still "newer" and a different area. They are usually fully stocked and carry pretty much everything, which is great. For the most part, this location is well-kept, organized and maintained well. The optical department is friendly as well. There are a lot of staff on the floors putting together pickup orders, so they are more familiar with the locations of certain items. The customer service is nothing to brag about. It's more a process...show the receipt, hand over the item, provide the return reason and get a refund. Done, next. Sometimes it can be a bit of a hassle. When checking out, I prefer to use the self-checkout lanes, which thankfully has expanded with more counters and is on both sides of the store. There is plenty of parking available, dedicated solely to Walmart.

Overall, very affordable and a lot of food for the price. The burger itself was pretty mediocre--tasted like a frozen Costco patty. The brisket melt was okay, but the seasoning was whatever and the bagel bun was tough since it wasn't toasted. Still better than the burger, but nothing special. Now the appetizers... those carried the whole meal. The chicken bites had too much breading, so I probably wouldn't get those again. But the mozzarella sticks were honestly some of the best I've had. And the fried mac n cheese bites were a risky pick, but they paid off--they had Kraft-style noodles with perfect breading. If you like Kraft mac n cheese (which I do), they were amazing.
