I've been to Daiso in Seattle and it seemed that they had a lot more merchandise there. I liked the aisles with the food. I was happy to find some items that they don't carry at the local Asian stores. When we were ready to check out, there were 3 people ahead of us and a line forming behind us. There were no employees at the registers and the self checkout registers had error messages so they couldn't be used. My husband found an employee who was restocking the shelves. Lol, my husband said that the employee didn't seem happy that he had to go up front. While the employee was ringing up the items, his coworkers started arriving. He mentioned to them that he was getting ready to clock out... no wonder he didn't seem happy. A different coworker came up front and cleared the error messages on the self checkout registers which made the line move quickly.

The concept is that you grab a bag and sift through cardboard boxes of stuff and fill up your bag. Depending on the day you come, the prices change. Monday's price is $3; on Tuesdays it's $2 for each item in the box, etc... down to a 25 cents "blowout" on Thursday morning... until they restock and start the week again. I don't know if the people who came over the weekend and paid $6 an item got all the bargains, but we didn't see even one thing that we considered buying. It was just big cardboard boxes lined up and very awkward to reach into that had piles of the same junk in it -- items you'd find left over from a sale in a flea market. Around the perimeter were drug store and grocery items marked at supposedly 50 percent off the retail price. Again nothing that was of any interest to us. And that's saying a lot when I can't find at least one thing to spend my money on. I'm glad I came -- so I won't feel like I've missed out on anything. Now I know.

It felt like rock, paper, scissors. Hmmm .... They proudly offer they are a Target Store liquidator now. Interesting as at least 1/2 the store did not look like regular Target merchandise. The pricing now is full retail and then a discount of 35% off. Todays special was slightly higher. They also warned that credit card would add a 3% charge. (Being in financials, they should check processor contract as Visa/MC do not commonly allow this) It was not what we wanted and left. Not knocking their decision to go this route, but doubt we would return. The original business design seemed to offer more possibilities and just needed some better execution. That said, it's still a good value compared to many other stores for similar products. They're already fully stocked for Valentine's Day now that Christmas and New Year's are over. They accept both credit cards and cash, which is convenient. It's a great place to pick up party supplies, school items, and lots of everyday essentials. Candy, snacks, kitchen supplies are a few other items that are worth it can be found at the Dollar Tree as well. Enjoy!

Some were high quality especially considering the price. I bought a couple things like aluminum foil and aluminum baking pans. They're good quality and durable. I also buy birthday balloons throughout the year for friends and neighbors. You can't beat the price and they have noce designs. Today they only had one cashier checking out customers. There did not seem to be any other employees when I was walking around the store. This seems to be a running theme at the store where I usually go to as well.

They have the fastest merchandise and the hottest styles for a discount store. On this visit, there were many employees restocking the shelves and they already seemed to be pretty full. I love their shoe selection and prices. Their men's department is not super big but there is a good variety. Their children's clothing and toys area seems to be their largest focus and it takes up a good part of the Marshall's side. There is only one checkout area for both Marshall's and Home Goods so the line gets very long at peak times which is why I try to get in before lunchtime to look for my bargain buys.
